Northern Rescue Season 2: Canceled? Will The Canadian Drama Return?

Over the past few years, some truly amazing Canadian TV shows have charmed their way into the hearts of American audiences. CBC Gem’s Northern Rescue is among those shows. The family drama series debuted in the year 2019, and fans managed to impress the fans. However, even after almost three years, viewers are still waiting for Northern Rescue Season 2. But will there ever be a second season? Let us find out.

Will There Be Northern Rescue Season 2?

The first season of the drama series revolving around the West family premiered its first season on March 1, 2019, on CBS Network. Later on, the series was pickup by streaming giant Netflix for a global OTT release. Meanwhile, as far as Northern Rescue Season 2 is concerned, it has been almost three years, and there have been no updates either from the original network or the streaming service about the renewal of the series.

Moreover, Amalia Williamson plays Maddie in the series. So, when and if the show returns for the second season, fans can expect most of the main cast members to reprise their roles. Also, there might be some new addition to the cast roaster in Northern Rescue Season 2 if the story demands.

What To Expect From Northern Rescue Season 2?

At the end of the first season, the West family was in much trouble. It concluded with big concerns for Commander John West’s family. His wife, Sarah West, died at the start of the story. The family migrated to a place called Turtle Island Bay, in the suburbs of Boston. At the end of the first season of Northern Rescue, Sarah’s sister, Charlie, finds the reality about her lover, Alex. Also, Sarah’s daughter, Maddie, who was attempting to find Rick Walker, reveals an unfortunate family secret. Rick had been blackmailing her mother, Sarah, as they had an affair, and he was her biological father.

Now, the upcoming season might bring so many unexpected twists and turns in the lives of the West family. They would be battling with multiple problems and obstacles in the way and finally triumphing over their fortune! As there is no official synopsis of the trailer for the season yet, it is very hard at this point to predict what’s next to come in Northern Rescue Season 2. We assume that the second season will pick up the story after the events of the first season.
