Zachary Quinto has been one of the most prominent voices in Hollywood, speaking about discrimination against the LGBTQ people. When George Takei’s Gay Sulu Comments became a controversy, Zachary was one of the first celebs to express his disappointment against the remarks. It is not surprising given the fact the actor identifies himself as gay and he a member of the LGBTQ community.

The actor came out of the closet in 2011. He came out in support of a bullied teenager Jamey Rodemeyer, who committed suicide due to homophobia. In a statement, Qunito wrote, “In light of Jamey’s death, it became clear to me in an instant that living a gay life without publicly acknowledging it is simply not enough to make any significant contribution to the immense work that lies ahead on the road to complete equality.”

Meanwhile, in a later interview, Quinto stated that after having enjoyed a little success. He felt like the hypocrisy was getting too much for him to bear. And not acknowledging his identity as a gay man was something he could no longer do.

Zachary Quinto’s television career started with a role in the 2000 series The Others, where he played Tony. The very next year, in 2001, Zackary was cast as Mike in “When Sunny Gets Blue” and also appeared in the fantasy drama series titled Touched by an Angel. Meanwhile, in 2002, Zac appeared in as many as five different series. These tv shows include an episode of Diddler on the Roof, Off Centre, Anatomy of a Lye, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. Also, he played Paul Kingsley in Haunted and Jay Lambert in the series The Agency.

The next year, Zachary Quinto appeared in shows like “Six Feet Under,” “Charmed,” and “Miracles.” Then, his first major role was in the American action drama series 24, in which Zachary was featured as Adam Kaufman. After that, Quinto has also made appearances in Dragnet, Hawaii, Crossing Jordan, and So Notorious.

Talking about Zachary Quinto’s film career started on a high note when he was cast in the 11th film of the Star Trek film franchise. In the movie, Quinto played the character of Spock. The film not only got positive reviews from critics, but it also managed to earn $385 million at the box office, making it a huge commercial success. After that, Zachary returned to Spock’s role for later films in the Star Trek film franchise. These movies include “Star Trek into Darkness” in 2013 and “Star Trek Beyond” in 2016. 

In 2011, he produced and starred in “Margin Call,” in which he played Peter Sullivan. In the same year, he played Nicolas in Girl Walks into a Bar. He also played Jameson in the romantic comedy film “We’ll Never Have Paris” in 2014. The following year, he played Bennett in “I Am Michael” and John Smith in “Hitman: Agent 47,” both action thrillers. He has also worked in “Tallulah,” “Snowden,” “Aardvark,” “Who We Are Now,” “Hotel Artemis,” and a few more films. More recently, Zachary gave his voice for Lx Luthor’s charter in the animated superhero film “Superman: Man of Tomorrow.”
