The Expanse Season 5: Filming Complete! 2020 Release Date? All Details

For all The Expanse fans, this one is for you. The Expanse Season 5 is happening. But when will it release? The series is all set to bring back the action and drama to the screens. The American sci-fi series first released in 2016 on Syfy. However, after three seasons, the platform canceled the show, which was luckily picked by Amazon. Created by Mark Fergus and Hawk Ostby, the show is based on a novel of the same name, written by James S.A. Corey. Four seasons of the show are out as of now. Actress Aghdashloo Revealed Production Details

While many series such as Grey’s anatomy and Arrowverse were cut short recently because of the ongoing Coronavirus, it looks like Expanse season 5 won’t be one of them. Recently actress Shohreh Aghdashloo, who plays Chrisjen Avasarala on the show, took on to twitter to spread some good news for all the Expanse fans. She confirmed that they have already completed the shooting for The Expanse Season 5 before the deadly pandemic shut everything all around the globe. Aghdashloo shared the news as she thanked Zoom for letting her interact with all the castmates even when they are all at different places in this lockdown. The Expanse Season 5: When Will The Show Release?

Amazon has not yet revealed anything about the release date of The Expanse Season 5. However, we can make some educated guesses as when we would get to see more episodes of the show. The latest season, the fourth one released in December 2019. And given that the show has wrapped filming, all Expanse fans are looking forward to the 2020 release date. However, the franchise takes a long time for the post-production process. Being as hopeful as we can, fans can keep their hopes for a late 2020 or perhaps early 2021 release date.

Amazon’s sci-fi series The Expanse is set in a time where the solar system is colonized. It follows the Rocinante team tries to untangle the conspiracy that is threatening the galaxy’s uncertain peace and the survival of humanity. The show quite does not fear in being political. 

The Expanse season 5 will bring Nemesis Games on the screen. Nemesis Games is the fifth book in The Expanse novels world. The book takes on an inter-planetary land rush. There is a collapse of the old power and structures on the show. Rocinante tries to get back to their home in the middle of the whole rise of the new world and rules. There will be some big moments coming up for Naomi Nagata on the show. The authors took on to twitter to say that Naomi Nagata is indeed the biggest badass in space. 

The Expanse Season 5: Could Clarissa Get A Redemption?

Mao’s family has been a big part of The Expanse story. In fact, Jules Mao was the first one to get the alien creatures’ samples. That was also the cause of triggering a clandestine arms race, which resulted in a number of deaths. However, his daughter Julie then joined the Outer Planets Alliance. She tried to get her hand on her father’s protomolecule. Clarissa helped Holden in switching the Ring Gates, and that could be her moment of redemption. It was a very important thing to do, especially at that time. However, Clarissa will have to prove that she is worthy enough for the freedom in the upcoming season. She might get an Ashford-style arc in The Expanse Season 5, where she would change her mind about revenge mission against Holden. 

Well, anything is possible, and we can all just be as hopeful as we can. Amazon has not yet revealed anything about the future of the show post the fifth season. However, fans do not need to worry as the latest season; the fourth season is one of the most-watched shows on the streaming platform. So, Amazon would probably bring more of it.
