The inaugural season of World Beyond sets up both secret and open confrontation between the Civic Republic and the Campus Colony. The very clip from the sequel is revealing that the main characters finally learned what happened in the debut season. So, it is also possible that they will figure out that the Civic Republic was the one behind the attack.
There are a lot of loose ends that need to be tied in The Walking Dead: World Beyond Season 2. During the Comic-Con, the panel of the show revealed that the second season would start from point C and end at Z. Whereas the first one only covered points A & B. So, the fans can expect a lot of things to happen in the last ten episodes of the limited series. It might even leave a little room at the end to explore by means of another spin-off show of the TWD franchise.
