Roar Season 2: Renewed? Set To Pick New Stories From Cecelia Ahern’s Novels

Apple TV+ original series Roar has recently dropped its first season, and now fans are eagerly waiting for Roar Season 2. The series gained massive success within a few days, and now everyone is keenly waiting to learn the future of the series. The series is an anthology series. It consists of the different female protagonists exploring different subjects like gender roles, autonomy, and identity. Now let’s see what will be the future of the series.

Created by Liz Flahive and Carly Mensch, the anthology series consists of eight unique tales. The show shed lines on various types of women dealing with their lives. Each story explores various women’s experiences and how they navigate their life. Further, it deals with how they face challenges and overcome the situation. The show also sheds some light on what it means to be a woman while exploring other aspects of their life in a darkly comical way.

Is Roar Season 2 Renewed Yet?

Apple TV+ has recently dropped Roar on April 15, 2022, and fans are already clamoring for Roar Season 2. However, it’s only been a four days since the series dropped on the streaming platform. Typically, Apple TV+ takes some time to evaluate the viewership the series received. Based on the target viewership, the streamer decides whether to greenlit the show or not. While many people loved the show, it only garnered 5.3 out of 10 positive responses on IMDb. But it doesn’t mean the streamer won’t return with the next chapter. Apple TV+ hasn’t yet canceled the show. Thus there’s still hope that the show might return for a second season.

Roar Season 2: Who Will Be In The Cast?

Well, the series is an anthology series as each episode is based on a new woman. Thus it’s quite challenging to guess who will return for the second run. Further, there’s a slight chance that the first season star cast might return to portray whole new characters. These include Michael James Lazar, Fivel Stewart, Alison Brie, and Brandan Hunter-Davis. Nick Kroll and Simon Baker might return. But it could be possible that new faces will join the series for the second run.

Apart from them, the series executive producer Nicole Kidman had starred in one of the episodes titled “The Woman Who Ate Photographs.” So there are chances that she might return in the second season as well to play a powerful role. Besides them, Liz Flahive, Carly Mensch, Per Saari, and Bruna Papandrea will return as executive producers of the show. Allie Goss, Steve Hutensky, Jodi Matterson, and Cecelia Ahern will also return as executive producers.

What To Expect From Roar Season 2?

The first season contains eight episodes that are loosely based on short stories from Cecelia Ahern’s book. The first episode follows the disappearance of a woman, while in the second season, a woman finds herself in a traumatic state where she finds bite marks on her body, but she has no idea how she got them. In another episode, someone killed a woman, and her ghost tries to solve her own murder mystery.

If Roar gets renewed for the second season, the creators will probably pick new stories from Cecelia Ahern novels. As of now, it’s quite tricky to guess what will happen next. But the book itself has 30 short stories. This means the show could run until four and more seasons.

Roar Season 2: When Will It Return?

The streaming platform hasn’t renewed the show for the second season. However, we can expect that soon the network will return for the next run. If it gets renewed in the middle of 2022, it will undergo production sometime in the fall. So we can expect that Roar Season 2 will return sometime in mid-2023. Stay tuned.
