The next on the list are the characters played by the lead actors, Bertha and George Russell. After going through the story, it seems like these two characters are apparently based on the lives of Alva and William K. Vanderbilt. Originally, Alva belonged to Atlanta and was determined to gain her social status back following the Civil War.
