A Quick Recap!

While this season appeared to be the most fruitful season of The Curse Of Oak Island, the Lagina brothers and team faced challenges in the previous episode. The team had finally reached closer to the depth of the Money Pit. They were even closer to the famous-cursed wealth. However, things soon changed when an unexpected flood submerged Garden Shaft. It was pretty unexpected as the team was also closer to extracting details from that site. Roger Fortin of Dumas Mining Ltd revealed this news to Marty and Rick Lagina. They also shared that the shaft’s depth had now deepened to 87 feet.

That was previously 82 feet deep. Despite such a huge setback, Roger was optimistic that his team would deal with such havoc. He planned to use the new technology to stop the water from submerging into the Garden Shaft. The team used the growing foam, but it appeared to be of no use. It shocked everyone, and they later learned about the booby traps, also known as flood tunnels. It was used to save treasure and valuables. Even though the group’s efforts were unsuccessful, they now learned that the Garden Shaft held some precious items.
