The Auditors Episode 5: Preview Hints Shin Cha-IL Is In Trouble
After solving the mysterious money laundering case, Shin Cha-il receives another shocking case involving the food and healthcare sector. The following day, Cha-il gets an envelope from a speed post suggesting a warning sign. The note says, “The corrupt restaurant management is on site. All of JU’s restaurants, including the cafeteria in the headquarters, will suffer.”
While the envelope reveals something terrific is happening behind the scenes, the preview video of The Auditors Episode 5 focuses on the construction worker who suddenly falls on the floor after eating the poisoned meal. As the preview clip progresses, things start getting out of Cha-il’s hands. Although he and his team prevent the company employees from eating the poisonous meal, the situation is more complex than it seems.
Cha-il’s boss scolds him for making a fuss about the envelope, stating JU’s restaurant has nothing to do with this case. However, Cha-il believes that some serious trouble is brewing behind the scenes, and they need to uncover it. Despite that, in The Auditors Episode 5, Cha-il writes an apology statement for throwing dirt on JU Restaurant.
A Quick Recap!
The previous episode, The Auditors Episode 4, was a rollercoaster ride. It began with Cha-il being in a challenging situation when Hwang decided to fire him. Fortunately, the decision wasn’t in Hwang’s hands, as only the director of the audit team could make it. While Cha-il dodged the bullet, he faced a challenging situation- the auditor had to solve the mystery surrounding the money laundering.
So, in order to sort things out, Cha-il struck a deal with Hwang. He suggested that Hwang cancel Mi-Kyung’s Florida transfer. If Hwang did this, then Cha-il would take the blame for the swindling. But it was later revealed to be Cha-il’s master plan. He then contacted Mi-Kyung to expose her husband. Cha-il then revealed that Mi-Kyung’s husband had an affair. However, she didn’t believe him.
Following this reveal, Hwang hid Mi-Kyung in a hotel room so the audit team couldn’t contact her. But Cha-il received a lead and finally reached the hotel room to meet the director. He then tried to convince Mi-Kyung that Hwang planned to dump all the blame on her and run away with his girlfriend.
While Cha-il was convinced Hwang was the culprit, the ending of The Auditors Episode 4 showed Mi-Kyung as the mastermind. She decided to run away with the 3.4 million dollar amount. However, Cha-il caught Mi-Kyung at the airport and arrested her. They eventually recovered the money. Later, Han-soo and everyone celebrated their win, while Seo-jin’s relationship with VP Hwang seemed tense.
