But instead of handing the diary to Hee Do, the driver contacted Ye Jin because it mentioned his contact number. Upon reading the chronicles of their relationship, Ye Jin broke into tears and decided to meet Hee Do. They both tracked each other and finally embraced the moment with tears. However, they didn’t reunite as Ye Jin was about to move to America for work.
Seven years later, Ye Jin returned to South Korea after Hee Do’s mother, a reputable news anchor, sought her replacement to succeed her. Since Ye Jin had become a successful journalist, she believed he could be the best fit for the job. This led to the reconciliation of memories as Hee Do’s teenage daughter received the diary from the bookstore owner.
He forgave to give the diary to Hee Do, which was put in storage and forgotten. After Hee Do received the diary, she read the last page, which probably was written by Ye Jin since it was in his possession. It made her recall the long-lost emotions. Shortly after, Hee Do returned to the spot where they broke up and relived the moment again.
But this time, she recalled all the positive memories, wishing they had told each other before. It led to the walk down to the memory lane, playing all their best memories on loop. Twenty-Five Twenty-One ended with a definitive note where Hee Do recalled when they first met and fell in love. The season-ending suggests that the pair never get back together despite being madly in love with each other.
Will There Be Twenty-Five Twenty-One Season 2?
Since the series has already wrapped up the storyline, it doesn’t feel like Netflix will return to re-explore the same moments again. Thus, it hinders the chance of Twenty-Five Twenty-One Season 2.
