In the season finale, Hachi asks Izzy to kill him because he is the real guardian. However, Izzy decides to leave him, and she suddenly disappears. A month later, Hachi returned to his normal life. However, he struggled to come to terms after losing his Yokai girlfriend. He was grateful to her for changing his life. Meanwhile, Sakon Renjo surrendered himself to the police for all the murder cases since he believed he was unworthy of being the guardian’s servant.
This later created more challenges as Gorumaru shifted the clan’s responsibility to an Ippongi descendant. This potential shift in power led to a power clash between the Ippongi and Renjo families. However, before they could enter the battleground, the series ended. So, now it seems like the Renjo vs. Ippongi family war will be explored in My Undead Yokai Girlfriend Season 2. On the other hand, Izzy is also alive and is currently roaming in the shadows of the human world.
