During an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Rudy Rankow and Chase Stokes discussed the possibility of Outer Banks Season 5. Chase mentioned that the team had always wanted to end the series on a high note and do justice to it. They had no idea how things would be played out or how things would move in the future, but what they wanted was just to end the series peacefully. Whenever the time came, they would end the series the right way.
