Will Raven’s Home Season 7 Return After Being Canceled?

The Disney Channel is known for surprising fans with its witty comedy series, and Raven’s Home is one of them. Being a sequel to the most loved series, That’s So Raven, the show has created a separate fanbase, and many loved the enigmatic nature of Raven Baxter. But will she return for Raven’s Home Season 7? Unfortunately, we have bittersweet news for the series fans.

While the show has remained the most-watched series, Disney has decided to explore more cards, leaving fate in the air. So, without further ado, let’s see what the network is cooking for us.

Raven’s Home focuses on the titular character, continuing with her uncanny ability to see snippets of the future. However, she’s no longer a teen; Raven is now a mother with a career in the fashion industry. But the catch is her son can also see the snippets of the future. Inheriting the uncanny gift of his mother, both mother and son duo face challenges when their vision collides. The series provides a fresh perspective to its modern audiences, focusing on Raven’s dramatic life and pocket-size comedy.

Raven’s Home Season 7 Is Canceled

Since its debut in July 2017, Raven’s Home has brought nostalgia to its prequel series fans. The show remained a comfort place for several people as they tuned into it to ease their minds. While the show remains a top-notch series, Disney+ has decided to wrap it up with six seasons. Following the conclusion of the sixth season in September 2023, Diensy+ announced that they won’t return to explore Raven’s Home.

This news came out as a bit surprising for the series fans as the show has been the most loved series on Disney Plus. It gained 7.1 stars out of 10 on IMDb and has remained the best performer on the network. This left many in a dilemma as to why the series was canceled. Disney Plus hasn’t yet shared anything about its decision. However, the drop in series viewership hints at its dark fate.

The first season’s pilot episode amassed 3.50 million viewers, while the sixth season’s pilot episode only gained 0.09 million views. Hence, this drop in ratings might have created problems for the network. However, Disney Branded Television President Ayo Davis said in the interview, “Raven [Symone] is a true trailblazer.”

She has constantly pushed the creative boundaries in acting, directing, and producing. Davis added that Raven’s Home is a flagship series on the streaming platform. It has brought joy and laughter and tackling real-life issues. The series has humorously tackled the problems that most families and kids face.

Raven’s Home Cast: If Season 7 Returns

Since the series has been canceled, it doesn’t seem like the cast on the A-list will return. However, if the show gets a miraculous revival, we can expect the series to return with its ensemble cast. These include Raven-Symone as Raven Baxter, Mikal-Michelle Harris as Alice Baxter, and Isaac Ryan Brown as Booker Baxter. Raven’s Home Season 7 can also witness the return of Rondell Sheridan as Victor Baxter. The other supporting cast members include Felix Avita as Booker’s friend Neil. Emmy Liu-Wang can also return as their neighbor Ivy.

What To Expect From Raven’s Home Season 7?

The series follows the lives of Raven and her son Booker, who gets psychic visions. However, their lives take dramatic turns every season when they both misinterpret their psychic visions. Since every season focuses on a new chapter of this family, how things will move in the next run remains unclear. So, it’s hard to guess which direction Raven’s Home Season 7 will go.

However, the sixth season reached a milestone, featuring Booker’s high school graduation. So, the seventh season can focus on the major shift in the family dynamics. How will things be played off after Booker goes to college? Undoubtedly, his life will be more complicated as he receives more psychic visions. However, it doesn’t look like Disney Plus will focus on his college journey.

That’s because the network doesn’t go beyond high school. However, Raven’s Home Season 7 can focus on the family dynamics as Nia has returned to live with her mother. This will ultimately bring more challenges to the table, and how things will be moved remains to be seen.

Raven Signed A Multi-Year Deal With Disney Branded Television

While Raven-Symone’s Raven’s Home said goodbye to its fans, the actress hasn’t. The reports say she is happy to extend her relationship with Disney. Raven signed a multi-year deal with the network. Under this deal, she will direct, produce, and develop more projects across the platform. That means more multi-cam comedies are on its way. Interestingly, Davis is excited to work with Raven.

Raven’s Home Franchise Will Continue

As mentioned above, Raven’s deal with Disney Channel includes hosting opportunities and acting. According to her latest deal, she will return with multi-camera sitcoms and direct and develop a new spin-off series of Raven’s Home, “Alice in the Palace.” Raven-Symone will serve as the executive producer and director of this spin-off series.

As per the logline, the series will focus on Raven’s young cousin, Alice (played by Emmy Award-winning actress Mykal-Michelle Harris). Alice returns to England only to reunite with a young royal, Duchess Clementine. The series explores Alice and Clementine’s (also played by Harris) misadventure. After discovering that both look exactly like each other, they both decide to walk off each other shoes.
