Clark also concluded that it was time for her to work on her next project. Well, the show gained a positive response from critics. But the troubled production history was the reason behind the show’s cancelation.

Star Opens Up About Potential Y: The Last Man Season 2

Ashley Romans, who played Yorick’s bodyguard agent 355, discusses the second season’s potential plot. She said the second season would focus on post-apocalyptic Paris, where the cast will revolve around and what the entire world will look like after the cataclysm. She also talked about the show will focus on a comic storyline where two astronauts will return to earth with Y chromosomes. Now it remains unclear whether the show could return for a second season.

The renewal is not at all surprising given that The Conners is among the highest viewed ABC dramas on-air. Some reports claim that the production of the fifth season could likely begin in a couple of months by the Fall of 2022.
