It has been over two years since the first season of HBO’s Avenue 5 debuted on the network. The genre-blending series created by Armando Iannucci has received a lot of acclaim and fan love for its first season. However, the viewers are still waiting for the show’s return with Avenue 5 Season 2. So, let’s discuss the fate of the show-

Has HBO Greenlit Avenue 5 Season 2?

The first season of Avenue 5 premiered on HBO on January 19, 2020. And came to a conclusion on March 15, 2020. However, thanks to the overwhelming response to the first season, the network has renewed the series for a sophomore installment in February 2020. 

EVP of HBO Amy Gravitt, while announcing the renewal, said, “We’ve loved every minute of Avenue 5’s inaugural voyage. Armando Iannucci and his team are masters of smart and incisive comedy, and the ensemble cast, brilliantly captained by Hugh Laurie, is second to none. We can’t wait to see what’s in store for our hapless heroes in season two.” However, even after two years of renewal, we do not have a confirmed release date for Avenue 5 Season 2. 

What Can Happen In Avenue 5 Season 2?

The thrilling first season of the show ended with a nail-biting conclusion. In the first season finale, the crew found a way that could cut short their travel by as many as six months. They decided to dump extra weight out of the ship. However, things took an unexpected turn. The weight was pushed out via the wrong side of the ship due to some confusion. Consequently, their journey time, instead of reducing, was extended to eight years, which perplexed the crew. On the other hand, Iris was mistakenly sent back to Earth.

When Avenue 5 Season 2 arrives, it will move the story forward after season one’s finale. In the second season, one of two things will happen. Either the crew will the chaos get better of them, or they will come together and rise to the occasion and devise an escape plan. But whatever happens, we can expect the season to be hilarious. 

On the other hand, Iris’s launch back to Earth is a bigger problem. It may help the crew in some inconceivable way, even though it appears implausible. The spacecraft lies deep within a wide gap of space, and viewers expect to acquire more access to it in the future, presumably in another season!

Cast Details!

The star cast of the SciFi comedy series includes Hugh Laurie in the role of Ryan Clark, Captain of Avenue 5. and Josh Gad appearing as Herman Judd. He is a bratty billionaire and the owner of the spaceship. The show also stars Zach Woods in the role of Matt Spencer, Rebecca Front appearing as Karen Kelly, and Suzy Nakamura essaying the role of Iris Kimura. 

On the other hand, the cast of the show also includes Lenora Crichlow appearing as Billie McEvoy, Nikki Amuka-Bird as Mulcair, and Ethan Phillips playing Spike Martin. If the series is recommissioned for Avenue 5 Season 2, we can most likely expect the returns of most of the prominent cast members. At the same time, the second season could also introduce us to some new characters.

But according to reports, Sandition Season 3 will release around early-mid 2023.

What To Expect From Sanditon Season 3?

In the second season, Charlotte was betrothed to Ralph, and her parents wanted her to marry him. Although it was about Miss Heywood’s decision on whether or not to marry. One of the most pressing worries for Sanditon season 3 is if Alexander Colbourne will come into her life.

Towards the end of season two’s key storylines, Alison married Captain Fraser, Tom. Colonel Lennox’s debt to the community was ultimately paid thanks to Arthur Parker. On the other hand, Georgiana discovered that Charles Lockhart was the devil who was plotting to marry her for her riches. Lady Denham was punishing Sir Edward Denham for his terrible scheme to destroy Esther and marry Clara in order to inherit the Denham property through their son.

Will There Be Shades Of Blue Season 4?

The third season of Shades of Blue debuted on NBC on June 17, 2018. And ended its run on August 19, 2018. Now, for all the fans still waiting for the return of the series, the show was canceled before Shades Of Blue Season 4. And it is most probably not coming. The cancelation was confirmed in a statement by Jennifer Lopez herself.

The star cast of NBC’s Shades of Blue features Jennifer Lopez in the lead role of Detective Harlee Santos. Previously corrupt herself, Santos acts as an informer for the anti-corruption team of the FBI. The show also stars Ray Liotta, who appears as Lieutenant Matt Wozniak, the head of Santos’ unit and a corrupt policeman. The show also stars Drea de Matteo in the role of sergeant Tess Nazario.

Apple TV’s Home Before Dark is young adult mystery drama series that debuted on the platform in 2020. The series created by Dana Fox revolves around intrepid young reporter Hilde Lisko as she tries to investigate crime and mysteries in her hometown.

What to Expect From Home Before Dark Season 3?

The second season of the series revolved around Hilde trying to take down the corporation Strata Tech which is deeply rooted in Erie Harbor. Earlier seemed like a beneficiary, but the corporation was harming the town and its residents by polluting their resources. While investigating the corporation, Hilde found out about the several monstrosities committed by Strata Tech for years. One of the driving factors behind Hilde’s investigation against Strata was that her grandfather has also suffered due to the corporation’s actions. 

Towards the end of Home Before Dark Season 2, the Lisko family eventually brought the town on the same page to stand up against Strata Tech’s boss, who is later captured. The season concluded with Hilde and her friends coming to an active crime scene. Where the teenage girl is taken aback to see her journal has been tagged as evidence in the new case.

When the series returns with Home Before Dark Season 3, it will likely follow Hilde getting involved in the homicide case that has occurred in the small town. Hilde may find herself in the middle of things before she knows it next season. As it is a homicide case, the grownups would most likely withhold much of the case’s specifics from the adolescent journalist. It will make her probe even more compelling. We expect more action adventures for Hilde and her friends in the next season.

If the series returns with Home Before Dark Season 3, most of the main cast members will likely be back in their respective roles. Home Before Dark Season 3: Release Date

Apple TV+ premiered the second season of the series on June 11, 2021, with the finale premiering on August 13, 2021. Now, talking about the prospect of the third season. Even after about eight months, we still do not have an official word from Apple TV. The streaming service has neither renewed nor canceled the series as of now.

However, considering that the previous season had garnered decent reviews from critics, the fans also loved the show. Thus, the chances of Home Before Dark Season 3 coming soon are very bright. But we will have to till Apple TV officially confirms the third season.
