Netflix’s sports cheerleading documentary series Cheer, created by Greg Whiteley, premiered its second season earlier this year. The second season of the show followed the aftermath of Jerry Harris’s arrest and the rival preparing for the Cheerleading championship. Due to its gripping depiction of the Cheerleading world, fans are already excited for Cheer Season 3. So, here’s what we know about it.

When is Cheer Season 3 Coming?

After about two years since the release of the first season, Cheer Season 2 premiered on Netflix on January 12, 2022. Now, talking about the potential return of Cheer Season 3. It has been about three months since the premiere of the second season, and we still await the official announcement for Cheer Season 3. However, according to reports, the third season might already be in the works, as the creator Greg Whitely has been filming at Navarro College for several years. 

On top of that, the first two seasons have performed brilliantly on the streaming platform. Thus, the return of the series for Cheer Season 3 is very much likely in the cards. What Will Happen In Cheer Season 3?

The second season of Cheer season 2 followed the preparations of Navarro and TVCC for the upcoming NCA & NDA College Cheer and Dance Championship in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, Jerry Harris’s arrest in 2020 in the child pornography scandal. When the series returns with Cheer Season 3, the age-old rivalry will likely be in focus. The season will also delve into the aftermath of the former cheerleader’s legal suit. 

Because several of the cheerleaders have graduated, there will be some cast revisions once more. Coaches Monica from Navarro and Vontae Johnson from TVCC are expected to return as they renew their professional rivalry. Any new cast members’ backstories will be profiled in the season.

Gillian Rupert, played by Navarro, is also expected to return. She’ll most certainly return with a vengeance, as she blamed herself for their loss last year. Jada Wooten, who has already graduated from the TVCC, will sadly not be returning. However, she is still cheering at another Texas university. Season three of Cheer will not be renewed until an official announcement is made. They can binge-watch the first two seasons in the meanwhile.

Monica’s Daughter Cheered At Navarro!

Navarro College is a junior college, which implies it serves as a bridge between high school and higher colleges. Students can earn an associate’s degree or pursue their studies by graduating and enrolling in a four-year university. Monica’s daughter Ally wanted to cheer at Navarro because the school is known for its cheer program.

Ally cheered at Navarro in 2018 before continuing her schooling at SMU, according to her Instagram. While Cheer’s first two seasons were pioneering, a spinoff about Monica’s daughter’s life in Cheer would be equally compelling. She got engaged to her high school boyfriend on the field, where she cheers, and he played in December 2020.

Unfortunately, the upcoming episode of Station 19 Season 5 has been delayed for a few weeks and will return next month. Carina was proud of Andy for fighting. However, they were not aware that Jeremy was dead. Travis told Theo about the events of dinner at Emmett’s house. They got a call and found out about the situation with Andy. Theo and Travis showed up drunk and made Andy laugh a little.

Elsewhere, two detectives showed up at Station 19 after Jeremy’s death. Andy’s was devastated by the news. The officers tried to question her without a lawyer. Luckily, Beckett pulled her out and asked the two detectives to leave. Andy’s team stayed with her while she cried and had a flashback of the whole incident. Sullivan assured Andy that she did nothing wrong. Beckett and Sulivan continued to have differences. Moreover, Jack told Carina and may that she would happy to be their baby’s donor. Andy was arrested by the homicide detectives at the end of Station 19 Season 5 Episode 15.

What To Expect From legendry Season 3?

HBO Max’s Legendry is a reality television competition. The show features all LGBTQ participants who are divided into separate groups. The groups are called houses in series. Each of these houses is led by a Mother and A Father. Inside every house, there are five members each. As the show progresses, these houses are required to compete with each other in different categories of events like Dancing, singing, walking, voguing, and more.

Contestants take part in these events in groups or solo, depending on the event. Based on the performances given by the participants, the judges of the show chose the Superior House of the Week and the two lowest-ranked Houses. Then there is a competition among the Mother or Father of the two lowest-ranked houses to keep their House in the competition.

The creators of the show experimented with the format of the show in the second season. The total scores accumulated across the performances decided the Houses’ ranking. If the show is revived for a third season, we may expect a new group of Houses to compete for the title of “Legendary” and a $100,000 cash prize.

Who Will Feature In The Third Season?

The series featured actor and vogue dance performer Dashaun Wesley as the presenter. He was also seen in the fourth season of MTV’s ‘America’s Best Dance Crew. Meanwhile, the reality series also featured four celebrity judges, Law Roach, Jameela Jamil, Leiomy Maldonado, and the rapper and songwriter Megan Thee Stallion. In addition, a new guest judge also appears alongside the main judges in every episode.

When the show returns with Legendary Season 3, we can certainly expect the four main judges to return to their duties. Despite the huge controversy after the first season, Jameela Jamil will also be back as hinted by her in an interview. She said, “They told me they were bringing me into their family. The second season of Legendary premiered on HBO Max on May 6, 2021, with the season coming to an end on June 10, 2021. Meanwhile, there is some good for the fans who have been waiting for the Legendary Season 3. According to Deadline, HBO Max has renewed the series for a third season. 

While announcing the show’s renewal, HBO Max’s Executive Vice President of Non-Fiction, Jennifer O’Connell, said, “We’ve only begun to scratch the surface when it comes to showcasing the beautiful world that is the ballroom. “We are excited to work with our partners at Scout again to take this show to even greater heights in season three and continue to shine a light on these compelling stories.” The third season will reportedly return on HBO Max on May 27, 2022.
