It’s been more than seven years since Architect Ted Mosby finally wrapped up his story. For ten seasons, he rambled on the longest story of meeting his children’s mother in the CBS hit comedy-drama series How I Met Your mother. And along the way, all fell in love with Ted and his gang of friends. And finally, after several years, showrunners are bringing another similar story but from a different perspective. Now, HIMYM Spinoff How I Met Your Father is gearing up for its release. And fans are expecting it to be legen…. wait for it …. dary. Meanwhile, here is everything we know about it. 

Many don’t know that, How I Met Your Father is not the first spinoff of HIMYM. In 2014 CBS planned another spinoff for its hit sitcom. It was titled How I Met Your Dad, and it even shot a pilot episode. But, unfortunately, things didn’t work out very well. And viewers never got to see the show. 

How I Met Your Father: Release Date

In April 2021, after several years of wait, showrunners finally confirmed that they are working on the HIMYM spinoff series named How I Met Your Father. The first season of the sitcom drama will have a total of 10 episodes. And it will be released on Hulu. 

Hulu announced How I Met Your Father’s release date two weeks ago, on November 18. The announcement came in the form of a special video featuring the series cast in the video shared on YouTube. Viewers saw the cast making the announcement with the legendary dialogue, ‘Wait for it’ before finally announcing the premiere date.

How I Met Your Father will premiere on Hulu on January 18, 2022. The show began production on September 1, as confirmed by Hilary Duff herself. She is all set to portray the show’s lead Sophie in the upcoming sitcom drama.

How I Met Your Father: Brand New Cast Roaster

One of the main reasons behind HIMYM’s immense success is the brilliant performance put forward by actors like Josh Radnor and Neil Patrick Harris. Thus, How I Met Your Father Cast has some really big shoes to fill.

We know that Hilary Duff will play the series lead Sophie, who tells the story to her kids. However, older Sophie’s voice will be given by Kim Cattrall. HIMYM spinoff How I Met Your Father is Sophie’s story, where she tells her children about meeting their father. The show is an alternative take on its predecessor’s storyline. The show will be a story about friendship, romances, heartbreaks, and figuring out life. 

Isaac Aptaker and Elizabeth Berger are the writers behind How I Met Your Father. The show will be set in the future, but Sophie’s flashbacks will bring us back to the current times. 

The official synopsis for the series is as follows, “In the near future, Sophie (Duff) is telling her son the story of how she met his father: a story that catapults us back to the year 2021 where Sophie and her close-knit group of friends are in the midst of figuring out who they are, what they want out of life, and how to fall in love in the age of dating apps and limitless options.”

The first season of La Brea has just finished airing on NBC on November 30. And the dire cliffhanger of season one has left the fans on the edge of their seats waiting for the premiere of La Brea Season 2 soon. But what is the future of the series? Let us dig into the details-

‘La Brea’ is an engaging drama series that premiered on NBC in September. The show revolves around the Harris family, torn apart when a giant sinkhole appears in the middle of Los Angeles. However, they are not the only ones whose lives have been impacted by accident. Those who fall into the pit are unexpectedly transported to a timeline thousands of years ago in the prehistoric world. And now they must band together to survive in a world where unknown dangers are waiting for them. 

David Appelbaum has served as the creator of this NBC fiction drama. There were not many expectations from the show. It, however, turned out to be a smashing hit. While the critics had mixed reviews towards the sci-fi drama. Nonetheless, it still managed to impress fans with its intriguing plot. The show attracted a large viewership as it progressed into later episodes of the first season. And now many are wondering about when and if there will be La Brea Season 2.

Is La Brea Season 2 Renewed?

Although the first season had just been completed, La Brea had already been renewed for a second season. As a result, the drama series will be getting further episodes. However, no official announcement from the creators has been made on when the second season will premiere. The second season will likely launch at the end of 2022 or as early as September, as the makers believe fall is a good time to release it.

La Brea Season 2: What’s Next?

In the first season of La Brea, a sinkhole at the La Brea Tar Pits and Wilshire Boulevard separates mother and son from father and daughter. Gavin and Izzy try their hardest to gather resources and bring Eve and Josh back after they descend into the depths of the ground.

Toward the end of the season, another possibility for the Harris family to reconcile presents itself, but it comes with a significant risk concerning a portal. Eve, on the other hand, is willing to go to any length. Gavin, Izzy, and Dr. Nathan, on the other hand, gave all they got all in a final rescue effort after it was reported that one more sinkhole would open up.

During Comicon’s special edition in November 2021, Showrunner David Appelbaum talked about the second season. He said that the Harris family would be separated in new and interesting ways. And the makers will put characters in different worlds moving into La Brea Season 2.

Further, he stated, “But also, we’re going to retain a lot of what we saw in Season 1.” But there are still going to be characters in the clearing trying to figure out how to survive down. He continued that the of the goals of the show for future installments is to expand its premise.

But Josh did not get his ‘Mr. Big moment.’ According to the actor, the audience never got to know the character’s last name, and that’s how it ended. Nico Tortorella also discussed the show’s conclusion and what happened to Josh after it ended.

Nico stated that there was room for newness in their connection in season seven of the show. And many fans were hopeful about this aspect. While discussing Josh’s parenting abilities, the actor stated that he would like Josh to continue to co-parent Gemma and be a wonderful father to her.

Lost In Space is a Sci-Fi space adventure drama series that first premiered on Netflix in 2018. The plot follows a spacecraft on a journey in space. The craft carries human families to the Alpha Centauri star system to establish civilization as an asteroid collision has left Earth unhabitable. Meanwhile, aliens and extraterrestrials attack the spaceship, causing families to evacuate in smaller ships. The show follows the occupants onboard the craft, namely the Robinson family, as they focus on their purpose while resolving conflicts.

Will There Be Another Season ?

Inspired by 1812 Novels, Swiss Family Robinson, Netflix’s space adventure series Lost In Space just aired its third season. And clearly, fans want more. But, unfortunately, Lost in Space season 3 might have been the end of the road for the series in all likelihood.

In March 2020, when Netflix announced the third season for the show, they also hinted that it will likely be the end of the series. Showrunner Zack Estrin told Variety that, “From the beginning, we’ve always viewed this particular story of The Robinsons as a trilogy. A three-part epic family adventure with a clear beginning, middle and end.”

However, Netflix relies on the audience’s response to decide whether to renew a series or not. And in the past, Netflix has resurrected several canceled shows based on fans’ demand. So even though Lost In Space season 3 may seem like an end of the story. But there are several instances in the past where seemingly canceled shows returned after for fans.

Apart from this, there is always a possibility for a spin-off series if the audience demands it. But everything depends on the showrunners, the production house, and the response from the fans. 

What Can Happen In Lost In Space Season 4?

At the end of Lost In Space Season 3, back on Alpha Centauri, the Robinsons’ and their companions’ ship runs out of fuel. Maureen and John dash to the engine of a chariot and drive away. They enjoy a private conversation as husband and wife. But a robot hits their vehicle, and they flip over. Maureen climbs out of the chariot to find herself confronted by a pair of robots. But John smashes one of the robots apart while she ices them.

The war has ended, but Alpha Centauri must be rebuilt following its destruction. They do, however, have robots on their side. While Maureen develops new technologies, the robots are free to run their own commands. Meanwhile, Smith is imprisoned after she decides to write a confession for her misdeeds.

Then Maureen visits her and learns that her real name is Jessica. Maureen tells her that she wants Smith to look her up when she gets out. Eventually, everything seemingly worked in the end. So, if the show returns for a possible season four, it might explore some new storylines based on some specific characters and their journies.
