Syfy aired the finale episode of the second season on May 29, 2019. And just after a week on June 4, the network canceled the show for its third season. The main reason behind the cancelation was the huge drop in its ratings and average viewership. Its average rating and viewership were dropped by 56% and 57%, respectively. However, he assured to be its designated writer and disclosed that he has insane ideas for the script. Meanwhile, Paramount hired famous French filmmaker Bruno Aveillan as the director.

In fact, Wirkola kept his word and handed over the first draft of the script in 2014. He revealed that the sequel film might go further than the first one. Moreover, it will now be an R-rated action movie with a storyline related to different kinds of witchcraft. Paramount later confirmed that Hansel And Gretel: Witch Hunters 2 will have a 2016 premiere. Fans of the original film were quite excited to watch the sequel, yet, it never made it to the screens. As of 2020, the creators of the movie have not disclosed the reason behind the same.

Well, it is rumored that the second film is canceled for good and might never make it to the theaters. However, Deadline reported that the sequel might return as a cable TV show instead of a movie. The news stirred the fan following of the franchise and has been in talks ever since. As of today, Paramount is yet to confirm the release of either of them. Starz Hightown Season 2 now has a new cast member. The makers recently announced that Luis Guzman will join the cast of the second season as a guest actor. It has only been a few months since the fans saw the debut season finale of this show. And now the news about the second installment is definitely making them happy and excited about it.

Hightown is an American crime drama TV series. The show made its debut on May 17, 2020, on Starz. And with the very first episode, it started making records. The premiere episode of this series drew 1.45 million viewers, and that too within a week. The story of this show follows Jackie Quinones, who is a National Marine Officer, an alcoholic, drug, and excessive partying girl. She finds a washed-up corpse of an opioid addict. It makes her question her lifestyle when individually studying the cause of the dead woman. Her best friend, Krista, a former addict, witnessed the murderer of Sherry. The blow of these events advances Jackie towards becoming serious about her life. Together with agent Ray Abruzzo of the Interagency Narcotics Unit, they learn that resolving the murder mystery will be difficult and censuring. 

The creators are pretty tight-lipped regarding the plot of Hightown Season 2. Plus, the filming of the second season is currently underway. Therefore, there is no telling what events will be going to take place in the upcoming season of the series.

Recently, the makers officially announced that Luis Guzman will officially join the cast of Hightown Season 2 as a guest star. He will appear in the role of Jorge Cuevas. By the end of the fourth season, Alexa had defeated cancer, and she tried to leave it behind. However, it was tricky for her to navigate normally after going through as much as she did. Katie, on the other hand, was struggling as they started to get ready for the next chapter in their lives- College. Their strong friendship was the thing that kept the two going. Step Up: High Water Season 3: After two seasons on Youtube Red (now YouTube Premium), Step Up: High Water was canceled. However, things soon got back on track when Starz picked up the show after its cancellation. Starz has picked up and renewed the show for Step Up: High Water Season 3. The third season of the show will have ten episodes, and it is speculated that the show will bring back a number of original characters from the initial two seasons. Reports suggest that Step Up: High Water Season 3 will expand the scope of storytelling. 

In an interview, the president of original programming at Starz, Christina Davis, says that the creator of the show, Holly Sorensen, and the team has created a new and dynamic series. It captures the hallmarks that make the whole Step Up franchise so successful. The show also elevates the storytelling for a global audience.

Continuing the statement, Davis said that all of this, along with the worldwide appeal of the talented and multicultural cast, the show will be a great addition to their slate. The show Step Up: High Water follows a group of young dancers in an art school in Atlanta. Sage Odom, the founder of the school, has a big legacy. Other characters in the show include Twins Janelle and Tal, who shift from Ohio and start living with their uncle AI. There they deal with a number of things as they settle themselves in this new school which is quite famous for its competition and dance talent. In the next season of the show, that is, Step Up: High Waters Season 3 will see Sage’s relationship with Collette, his partner.
