Good Omens Season 2: Renewal Status!

The creators of the series and the novel, Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett, haven’t closed the doors on the sequel yet. Although they neither renewed nor canceled the show for its second season. The makers even planned a sequel for the novel, but they didn’t implement it. It was about the origin of the angels. So if the makers ever renew the show for Good Omens Season 2, the viewers will see this storyline in it. 

One of the writers, Neil Gaiman, also revealed the same in his interview. He said, “I don’t feel like it’s done and sifted… You know, Terry and I had framed a complete storyline. The obstacle is that doing the following novel quickly after the first or doing that another storyline immediately after the first, they’re just too comparable, which I think would mean that if we did another season, I would have to do three seasons. I’d have to do extra two seasons instead of just one.”

The plot of this show revolves around the tale of demons. The story is entirely about the origin of the world. It deals with the work of actual incidents and events. The debut season dealt with hunger, war, and pollution as well. And if the second season will ever happen, it will show the story of the origin of the angels. Neil Gaiman himself said this in an interview.

He said, “Good Omens Season 2 will be about where the angels originated from, which is why it was much easy to add more angels to this. And having come up with that story, we know that if the audience loves this enough and if the time and the intention are there, we could definitely go back and do a lot more.”

All the fans of this series are still waiting for Amazon and BBC to renew it for the second season. And if this happens, then it is likely that the viewers will see a trilogy.
