Recently Netflix brought in another show to the platform. The show was a crime documentary series called Fear City: New York vs. The Mafia. The show released on July 22, 2020. The show, Fear City: New York vs. The Mafia is the story of how the FBI took down the Mafia’s in the 1970s and 80s in New York. These Mafia families influenced the whole city; from owning bribed judges to restaurants, they had everything under them. The series sees the rise and fall of these families in the series. What Has Happened So Far?

Fear City is a true-crime series. The series has documented falling apart of a commission in New York. The ruling body had five families as bosses. They were convicted and charges for various crimes, including murder, extortion, and even labor racketeering. The show features many attorneys and FBI agents like John Savarese, Michael Chertoff, John Savarese, and Gil Childers. They talk about how they managed to accomplish this Mafia Commission Trial. It was named as the most significant infrastructure of organized crime since the year 1943. 

Throughout the series, viewers get to know how the FBI had set the electronic surveillance devices to access the conversations of members of the commission. The show also takes a peek on how the team brought audacious “Concrete Club” into the light. They shifted their focus on Carmine Galante’s murder by accessing enough evidence to prove that The Commission was behind all of it. 

Was The Justice Served?

Fortunately yes. The series showcases that too. In the first season of Fear City, viewers get to see the jury passing the verdict after a lot of pressure from the media and the system. By the end of the show, the creators also show archival footage, which includes all the eight mobsters, along with the three Godfathers. All of them get convicted for their crimes. 

What’s Happening With Fear City Season 2?

The first season of the show- ‘Fear City New York vs the Mafia’ released this July on Netflix. The season had three episodes of about 40-65 minutes each—all these episodes released on the same day on the streaming giant. All fans are wondering if they would get Fear City Season 2. The hard truth is, the show was created as a miniseries. That means that creators don’t have any plans to make of the show any further. The series ended without any solid questions, very beautifully ending the story. The director of the show- Sam Hobkinson, covered every aspect of the whole Mafia commission Trial. That left the very narrow potential for a follow-up season. So, we would suggest that it is unlikely that we would ever get more of the show. 

However, there are many examples of miniseries who have turned out to be a full-fledged series. So, we can’t dismiss the idea of Netflix renewing the show for more. The Goldbergs, created by Adam F. Goldberg, is a period sitcom series on ABC. The series is based on Goldberg’s childhood and family in Jenkintown, Pennsylvania, in the 1980s. It follows the era’s pop culture portrayed by the series creator, which shows the 80s reality. The series depicts the creator’s childhood events, which he regularly videotaped. Many of those videos reenacted throughout the series, where Adam (Sean Giambrone) documents his family’s lifestyle. His grandfather Albert “Pops” Solomon (George Segal) helps him through his advice. Recently, The Goldbergs cast appeared at the Comic-Con@Home’s panel, where Wendi McLendon-Covey talked about the seventh season finale. It was centered on the wedding. However, Wendi and other casts in the panel haven’t revealed anything about whose wedding it was. The other casts at the panel included Hayley Orrantia (Erica), Sean Giambrone (Adam), and Troy Gentile (Barry).

It prior set as the season’s finale. Now it’s unsure whether this wedding event would be portrayed somewhere in between the eighth season or not. But, there’s a high possibility that the finale event would shift to the eighth season finale. As we all know, the wedding event was focused on the tribute to the 1980s cinema. So, there’s no chance that the eighth season would begin with this.

A Tribute To Airplanes!

In the seventh season, The Goldbergs took a road trip to give a tribute to National Lampoon’s Vacation. Now, the family is heading to another trip. But they are flying on a jet plane this time. However, this isn’t the first time when the Goldbergs are flying. As we know, Barry found his girlfriend Lainey (AJ Michalka) on the same flight. On which, Robbie Hart (Adam Sandler) proposed Julia Sullivan (Drew Barrymore). In an episode that linked with the 1980s romantic comedy The Wedding Singer.

However, it’s not revealed where the Goldbergs are going for their vacation yet. In the panel discussion, Wendi compared the Airplanes!, tributes to their “Dinner with the Goldbergs” episode, where everything happened in a single space. On which, Doug Robinson, the executive producer, mocked on the eighth chapter. He added that the only crazier thing than having dinner with the Goldbergs, is sharing a flight with them (he laughed). It could be possible that we would see Goldbergs interacting with other passengers on the plane.

Recently, the series creators Jonas Torgersen and Jon Iver Helgaker revealed that Norsemen Season 3 would break the series chronological chain. As it would focus on the early events that happened before the Jarl Varg regime. Though this Vikings group quest has put a hold for a particular period, as the creators want to explore the journey before the first season. But, that doesn’t mean their quest would stop here. In the upcoming season, many new faces would introduce and many different story arc would follow. So would it explain the origin of all the group members of the chieftain and rival chieftain groups? Norsemen, created by Jonas Torgersen and Jon Iver Helgaker, is a comedy-drama series on Netflix. The series set in Norway, where a group of Vikings living in a small village of Norheim. It follows an ensemble cast lifestyle in the town. The way they deal with their daily life and handle conflict in a comedic manner, however, with passing time, the conflict between neighboring villages increases. That results in the battle with the rival tribe led by cruel Jarl Varg (Jon Øigarden). Further, Rufus (Trond Fausa Aurvåg), the Roman slave, attempts to modernize Norheim’s culture that leads the further ongoing dispute.

Norsemen Season 3: Showrunner Teased Possible Storyline

Norsemen first and second season followed a sequential story arc. In which, each episode delves into the fierce battle between the group of Vikings and the neighboring villages. The first season gained exceptional popularity for breaking up its weird humor during Norse’s funeral. The series earned a 7.8 positive response on IMDb because of its unique way of portraying Vikings’ lifestyle.

Would Serve As The Prequel

However, the upcoming season wouldn’t follow the same trend. In an interview, the co-creators Jon Iver Helgaker and Jonas Torgersen revealed that the third chapter of Norsemen would depict the early 790 AD. The duo stated that the upcoming season would explain the beginning of Frøya (Silje Torp) and Orm’s (Kåre Conradi) marriage journey. And why Frøya married Orm when she was not happy with her marriage.

It would also include how Jarl Varg became the leader of the rival chieftain and why he’s the rightful person to owe the map? There are so many unanswered questions left in the previous seasons, so the duo thought that the third season will be the right place to explain everything.

Jon and Jonas said: “Why on earth is Frøya married to Orm? Why do they bound the map to Jarl Varg? We thought there were so many untold stories from before the first season. So we dedicated to telling them.”

Season 4 Would Maintain The Trend

Though the third season would serve as the prequel of the series, the creators already planned a script to continue the story left in the second season. The duo revealed that they wouldn’t go far away from the prior story arc while portraying the early 790s period. They already know from where and how their main characters would join their quest.

They said: “We had plotted out most of the story beyond the second season. But we could not leave the wish to tell the story that led up to the first season. It’s safe to say that we don’t stray too far off the path of seasons one and two.”

Recently, in the Comic-Con@Home’s panel, the series executive producer, Casey Willis, revealed major guest star details joining Archer Season 11. In the middle of the panel discussion, he excitingly spilled out their names. However, he didn’t hint at their character details. But the entire casts were thrilled when they got to know that the famous comedy genius and horror-drama queen will join Archer’s team. Archer, created by Adam Reed, is an animated spy sitcom on FX. It follows the adventure of eight dysfunctional secrets agents and the International Secret Intelligence Service’s (ISIS) supporting staff. This secret agent group includes Sterling Archer, a self-centered womanizing protagonist. Malory Archer, is a retired agent who turned to ISIS director (fictional New York intelligence agency). Also, Sterling’s love interest Lana Kane, is the most skillful field agent at ISIS. The bomb specialist Ray Gillette and Pam Poovey are agency’s Human Resource Department’s head. And Cyril Figgis, Cheryl Tunt, and Dr. Algernop Krieger turned into agents after a tragic life event.

Simon Pegg Will Appear In An Episode

Recently, many television series participated in the virtual Comic-Con@Home panel, and Archer was one of them. The virtual event joined by a few cast members, including Judy Greer, Lucky Yates, Aisha Tyler, and Chris Parnell. In the middle of the panel discussion, the executive producer Casey Willis revealed soothing news. Casey disclosed that Simon Pegg, the comedy genius will join them in Archer Season 11. However, Simon would appear only in an episode.

Jamie Lee Curtis Will Join The Team

While discussing the guest cast members, Casey suddenly shifted his focus on Jamie Lee Curtis. The entire casts were thrilled when they heard that Jamie is joining them. However, her appearance won’t last just for a few episodes; instead, she would be a part of the Archer’s team at least in season 11. But, Casey hasn’t disclosed yet which character Jamie would portray. Fortunately, soon this news would also come up.

Casey revealed: “The other person that I want to talk about is a guest star. A recurring guest star, I might add. It came to us via Miss Judy Greer. I’m excited to announce it’s Jamie Lee Curtis, and (he teased) I don’t want to say anything about her character or anything.”

When Casey announced that they got this news through Judy Greer, she replied that it’s all because of 2018’s Halloween. She said when they first met during the rehearsals of Halloween. She discovered that Jamie is a big fan of Archer. Jamie and her son used to watch the animated series Archer together. And the reason why Judy got a role in Halloween was Jamie’s love for Archer. That Jamie can’t deny getting Judy in the movie that executively produced by Jamie.

Judy responded: “When we first showed up to do rehearsals and stuff in Charleston where we shot (2018’s Halloween). I introduced myself to her, and she just like went right in for Archer. So much so- I never actually asked her this-but I do think that’s maybe why I got the job. Because Jamie’s an executive producer on the movie, and I swear I think it’s one of the reasons. Like maybe my name was brought up with a lot of other names.”

She added that during their conversation, Judy revealed that she could take Jamie into Archer. Jamie was thrilled when she heard that she could play a character in Archer, which she and her son loves a lot. Her excitement could be seen the way she asked Judy- that is it possible?

They also talked about the stories they would like to feature in the upcoming installments. And the story they want to recreate the most is ‘Red-Headed League.’ During the interview, Gatiss said, “Mark’s always desired to do the Red-Headed League. Also, it’s very tempting, but the Speckled Band is totally useless to us on Sherlock somehow. There are lots and lots of stories, aren’t there still? Lots of amazing stories – bits of stories that are very appealing.”

Moffat also addressed the fans who desperately want to know the fate of the series. He said, “Re: Sherlock’s future—for those of you questioning, it’s surely the end of Chapter One. He inscribed on Facebook after the episode aired. Dr. Watson is now Doyle’s brave widower, and Sherlock Holmes has become the wise and humane version of the main run of the narratives. Whether we ever get to Chapter Two—our boys willingly living the myth and fighting wrong-doers—rather depends on our two stars. I’d be somewhat surprised if we never made it again.”

In Season 3, every character will be searching for some or the other things. However, Simms revealed that Nandor will be searching for love in the coming one during the panel. Colin will be searching to know about how he became the energy vampire. Surely, there will be a hint of romance involved in the coming season of the show. ComicCon@Home panel included Novak, Berry, Proksch, Guillen, Demetriou, which means they will surely return for the coming season.
