While we were waiting for The Boys Season 2 to premiere on Amazon Prime, the streaming platform amazed everyone by renewing The Boys Season 3. The series gained immense popularity, which could be why the streaming platform couldn’t wait for the second season’s viewership, since they knew it would be a blast like the first one. Further, Showrunner Eric revealed some details on Reddit during Ask Me Anything session with his fans. He revealed that he’s looking for some other ways to explore the third season. And during his exploration, he decided to ask his favorite actor to join the show.

The Boys, created by Eric Kripke, is a superhero, black comedy-drama series on Amazon Prime. It’s based on Gath Ennis and Darick Robertson’s comic book of the same name. The series follows vigilantes’ team who fight back against the elite superhero group. In their universe, superheroes are devoted by the general public and have their elite corporation named Vought International, which they use to monetize and market them. However, nobody knows how cruel and arrogant these heroes are outside their heroic persona. The series centered on two groups, one named the Seven consisting of all the superheroes whom public admires. And the other group called the Boys, who are fighting against theses corrupted so-called superheroes.

Jeffrey Dean Morgan Joining The Show

In an interview with Collider, Kripke spoke about the possibilities of Jeffrey Dean Morgan (The Walking Dead star) joining The Boys for its third chapter. On social media, Morgan once asked Kripke for a role in The Boys after it landed on Amazon. They both knew each other well as they previously worked together on Supernatural. However, Kripke didn’t find an apt character that Morgan could play in the second season. But, Kripke disclosed that both were talking about Morgan’s appearance in the third season.

Kripke said: “There’s one role we’re already talking about. We have to coordinate because he’s on The Walking Dead, so he has another home. But we already talked about one role, and there might be a potential other that we’re talking about. We are just this past week. We were texting back and forth about trying to figure out how to get him on the show. I don’t think it’s a done deal yet, but the will is there, and we’re both talking about it.”

Well, Morgan is very-well aware of portraying the comic character; he depicts Negan on The Walking Dead and brings Kirkman’s threatening villain character to life. And he also worked in Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice, where he played Thomas Wayne’s role. So it could be possible that another comic character would add on Morgan’s list.

The Boys Season 3: Renewed Before Season 2 Aired

The Boys’ first season was the most binge show on Amazon Prime. The series has earned a considerable fan base and positive response from the audience as well as the critics. It gained 84% ratings on Rotten Tomatoes from the audience and 74% on Metacritic from the critics. That’s why the series been renewed for the third chapter before its second season streamed on Amazon Prime. Further, showrunner Eric Kripke has been talking about the third installment and the things that he would explore in the forthcoming season.

While we’re still waiting for The Crown Season 4 to stream on Netflix, in January, Netflix ordered The Crown Season 5 for its final season. Earlier, it was assumed to run a total of six installments. But showrunner Morgan has some other plans for his award-winning series. He’s more transparent with the script now and knows how he wanted to portray the final season. But the biggest question arrives is who will be going to play Queen Elizabeth’s character in the fifth and the final season. As we all know, star cast change in every twice season to depict a more realistic and natural appearance.

The Crown, created by Peter Morgan, is a historical drama series on Netflix. It follows the regime of Queen Elizabeth II. It starts from Elizabeth’s younger years to her wedding to Philip Mountbatten in 1947. Claire Foy depicted young Elizabeth in the first and second season. While Olivia Colman plays mature Elizabeth in the third and fourth season. The first season portrayed events in which Queen’s sister Princess Margaret denied marrying Peter Townsend, and Winston Churchill quit as prime minister. The later seasons describes changes in prime minister post and elections events, followed by the birth of Prince Edward and later introduction of Prince Harry and Prince William.

The Crown Season 5: Will Be The Final Installment

On January 31, Netflix confirmed that The Crown Season 5 will be the final season of this award-winning series. Earlier, it was expected to continue till six seasons. But, this year, showrunner Peter Morgan spoke to Hollywood Reporter and confirmed it would be the last season. In his interview, he said that he realized it’s better to conclude with passing time now. As they are already started working on the fifth season’s script. So, it’s clearer where to take this journey now.

Morgan said: “At the outset, I had assumed The Crown was continuing for six seasons. But now that we have started work on the script for season five. It has become clear that this is the exact time and place to stop.”

Netflix VP For Original Content Supported Morgan’s Decision

While Cindy Holland, Netflix’s Vice President for Original Content supported Morgan’s decision. She said she’s excited to see how his crew and team portray and set the landmark, which his previous chapters already did. Further, she appreciated his creative idea and decisions and said she’s looking forward to the upcoming season.

Cindy Holland stated: “I support Peter Morgan’s creative decision. And I’m excited to see how he and the crew and cast of the fifth season bring this landmark series to a fitting and spectacular end.”

Imelda Staunton Will Portray Queen Elizabeth

Netflix confirmed that Imelda Staunton would take the throne as Queen Elizabeth. She’s been known for her marvelous acting skills in Harry Potter as Dolores Umbridge and in Nanny McPhee. The showrunner expressed his joy to work with Imelda. He said he’s excited to see her as The Queen, and also praised the decision to transfer the throne from Olivia Colman. Peter also appreciated Imelda’s knowledge and acting skills.

Peter said: “I’m thrilled to confirm Imelda Staunton as Her Majesty The Queen for the fifth and the final season. Taking The Crown into the 21st century. Staunton is an amazing talent and will be a wonderful successor to Claire Foy and Olivia Colman.”

Lucifer created by Tom Kapinos is a police-procedural, urban fantasy comedy-drama series on Netflix. The series inspired by one of the characters in The Sandman of DC comics. It revolves around Lucifer Morningstar (Tom Ellis), a handsome and mighty angel who was outcast from Heaven for betrayal. But, as the Devil, he got bored from his throne of the Lord of Hell for millennia. So, he abandoned his throne in contempt to God (his father). Later he landed on Los Angles and opened his nightclub named Lux. There he met Detective Chloe Decker (Lauren German) and assisted her in solving her cases. Throughout the series, Lucifer has been frequently invited as a consultant to the LAPD.

Lucifer Season 5: New Look From The 40s

The first look from Lucifer Season 5 Episode 4 entitled “It Never Ends Well for the Chicken” released. In which, Lucifer telling the story about his re-visit to Los Angeles in the 1940s, where he placed other characters in different roles back in time. The series co-creator Joe Henderson explained that this style was selected because of Lucifer’s fondness of detective stories. Further, he said that Lucifer isn’t a detective yet, so it means this is his first case.

Joe said: “What is nice about noir is its detective stories, but Lucifer isn’t a detective yet. So what we almost see, to a certain extent, is Lucifer’s first case. There is a case, and there is a mystery to resolve, but it’s just more filtering our language through noir.” He further explained that when you’re depicting flashbacks, it’s essential to portray the apt time well. Joe added: “Whenever you play flashbacks, the question is always- what’s the time frame that can reflect a person?”

Ildy Modrovich Appreciated Tom Ellis

Fellow showrunner Ildy Modrovich spoke about Tom’s look in the fourth episode. He said, there’s something in his way of depicting his character (Lucifer) that takes us back in time (in Old Hollywood style). He said: “Tom Ellis is made for this style. I believe there’s always been something about his representation of Lucifer old school, which harkens back to the elegance and extravagance of old Hollywood and just noir.”

Further, the upcoming episode would explore Maze’s (Lesley Ann Brandt) past, and the creators can’t wait to see fans’ reactions about her musical numbers. Modrovich added: “Lesley-Ann is going to break your heart for sure.”

Lucifer Season 5: Release Date

Rasmus wants to change everyone with the very beta version of the illness that mutated him into a superhuman. While Simone thinks that there must be medicine, will they manage to put their differences aside to do the right thing?”

Who Will Return For Final Season?

All the leading cast members from the previous seasons will make their return for the final installment of the series. Big Little Lies, created and written by David E. Kelley, is a mysterious dark comedy-drama series on HBO. It is based on Liane Moriarty’s novel of the same name. The series centered on the life of five wealthy women who get involved in a murder investigation in Monterey, California. At a public school, murder suddenly happened, but neither the murderer nor the victim was disclosed. But later on, in the investigation, five wealthy family names came up and their link with the murder. However, every mother was trying to protect their kid. That leads to a cold-war amongst those five women. Due to which they started accusing other kids and also looking for the evidence for their kid’s innocence.

HBO President Is Satisfied With Two Chapters

Big Little Lies debuted on February 19, 2017 with seven episodes. It initially announced as the miniseries but received renewal for the second season after its immense ratings. The first season gained a 93% positive response on Rotten Tomatoes from the audience while it gained 72% ratings on Metacritic from the critics. It allowed the writer and showrunner Kelley to come up with more creative material for the second chapter.

However, it’s been a year, and HBO hasn’t spoken about its third chapter. HBO president Casey Bloys said they’re looking season 2 as the conclusion of the series. Bloys said: “Big Little Lies Season 2 was a chance for everyone involved to end (the series) in a way that feels satisfying.” Further, Showrunner David in an onstage Q&A, discussed that they already wrapped up the series. David said: “I think that it’s one and two seasons only, and we like where our conclusion is at the end of season two. So that will probably be it.”

Nicole Kidman And Witherspoon Willing To Return

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly’s The Awardist podcast, Nicole Kidman said there’s some hope left for Big Little Lies Season 3. Even though she’s not sure when HBO will officially renew the show, she expressed her willingness to return to play her character like before. Kidman said: “I mean, I could play her for the rest of my life, exploring how her life unravels. You go- Ah ok, jump off the cliff and try. And I’ve always tried that through my whole career anyway, and as a person, you jump off. Why not?”

Further, Reese Witherspoon also confirmed that they all were trying to return as soon as possible. Witherspoon said: “We’re trying to come up with the right story-and how do we end after that, cliffhanger?” However, both Kidman and Witherspoon (who serves as the series producers) think it depends on the writer. Whether Kelley is looking to extend the series for another season or not.

In May 2018, the show’s creator revealed that they are working on Peaky Blinders Season 6. Ever since then, everyone is looking forward to it. The cast and crew have dropped various hints all the way to keep their fans hooked. In January 2019, the director of the series posted an update revealing the Peaky Blinders Season 6 is under pre-production. While fans were getting hopeful that the show would enter productions anytime soon, Coronavirus pandemic hit everything pausing it all. Steven Knight revealed that they might have to change the scripts for the upcoming season. However, he is sure that the show will only be better after this. In an interview, Knight said that he always says that the next series is the best series yet. Earlier, they had changed a few things because of the actors’ schedules. Now, they will have to change a few things because of the new norms in the light of recent situations. What’s Coming Up In The Next Installment?

Until now, Steven Knight has dropped hints of what could be coming up in the next season. In an interview, he revealed that they are taking the story forward. They always have time jump; in the sixth season, they will get into the Thirties. He asked viewers to expect the unexpected because of the way that decade was. Everybody knows what happened at the end of the decade, the war began. The creator went on to say that all the rumors about war being a part of the season has overshadowed all other things. That has taken up all the stakes to the next level. 

Peaky Blinders Season 6 will be a lot about the rise of nationalism, fascism, and racism in that era. There are huge parallels in the storyline there. In the sixth season, the show will take us to 1934. Things will get dark. The drum beats will get louder, tensions will get worse, and Tommy will be the epicenter of the whole storm. Again we will explore all the events in the thirties and how they have happened. It will be a tragedy. 

Supernatural Twist Coming Up In Peaky Blinders Season 6

In an interview, Knight also revealed that they would have a Supernatural twist in Peaky Blinders Season 6. However, there won’t be ghouls walking around with guns, because they are not bringing in that kind of supernatural, but there is some. Knight went on to say that he likes the element they are adding. He hinted towards a possibility of Tommy being cursed. In other words, is everything happening pre-decided? Are all lives already mapped out? Do they have free will or not? These are the things Steve hinted about. He said that Tommy feels like everything is destined to stop him or just direct him in a particular direction. It is just the same with the whole family. 

Discussing the Shelby family, Steven says that he is exploring more for them in the upcoming season. He said that he is exploring what would make them different without the father figure there? The creator is calling them effective. He says that it will be like westerns. All- Tommy, Arthur, and Polly win, together. They will win against all the odds. They will win against the stronger opposition, that will be something everyone would admire in the meantime. In the sixth season, Steve also said that Tommy Shelby might win over his rival- Oswald Mosley. You will see, the creator went on to tease. 

New Character Will Be Joining The Show

Director Anthony Byrne has recently pointed that a new female character would be coming in for Peaky Blinders Season 6. She will double Tommy’s burden in fighting the fascism. In an interview with Digital Spy, Byrne says that a great female character is coming in on the show.

He described the character as new and pretty dark. Byrne says that they haven’t seen a character like that before in the series. He did not say who she was, but he said that she would, for sure, give Tommy a run for his money. She will challenge him in more than one way. She won’t be the protagonist, but she won’t be the antagonist either. Continuing his description, he says that the new character will have ideology just like Mosley, and that will be very challenging. She will not have any gangs or guns, but she will have an ideology that is the most dangerous virus.

With that said, fans have started speculating who this characters could be. Some fans say that the character could be Mosley’s second wife- Diana Guinness and we might get to see them getting married in the sixth installment. They got married in October 1936 in Berlin with Adolf Hitler as the guest of honor. While we don’t know when the cast and crew will be able to get back to the productions, we do hope they get to do it soon, with everyone safe. We also hope that the crew keeps giving out details. In Camp Getaway Season 2, the staff will remain the same, but the viewers will see a new batch of campers in the club away from the tensions of their regular life.
