Amazon’s fantasy drama, Carnival row is out with the first season. The show was a huge hit. Also, Carnival Row Season 2 is coming. But when? The installment received renewal even before the first season released. However, things haven’t been very happy since then. There have been some problems with the crew, and of course, the world. 

Created by Travis Beacham and René Echevarria, Carnival Row is a fantasy drama set in the backdrop of a Victorian-style era called Burgue. The show features Orlando Bloom and Cara Delevingne in the lead role. For everybody looking forward to when Carnival Row Season 2 would release, this article is for you. Carnival Row Season 2: Plot Details

The first season of the fantasy drama took on two major plotlines. First was the Darlasher Killings that Philo was investigating. The second was the mystery regarding Philo’s origin. The Philo’s mystery turned out to have some connection with Piety Breakspear and the murders. Later on, everyone also came to know that Chancellor Absalom Breakspear is Philo’s father. The half-fae and half-human creature Philo is torn between the two words. He has to hide his true nature to survive. 

Later, when Jonah Breakspear takes Philo’s father’s place as the new Chancellor, he declares war on all the nonhumans. So many Carnival Row residents are in what was called the concentration camp in the Burgue. Then Philo comes to know about Vignette being on the other side of the barricade. He declares that he is a critch and joins Vignetter and all the other fae in Carnival Row. 

Coming to Carnival Row Season 2, viewers might witness fae’s fight for liberation in the second season of the series. They will fight against Jonah Breakspear and Sophie Longerbane’s new community. In the meantime, the star crossed lovers Agreus Astrayon and Imogen Spurnose will find themselves running with Imogen’s brother Ezra. Amidst the violent altercation, they will have to deal with the aftermath of what happens after the war, the new community and fae are on. It will be exciting how the show retains all the criminal mystery elements with the whole uproar. Carnival Row season 2 will indeed introduce a new case for Vignetter and Philo to solve. 

The Cast and Crew Shakeups

We expect Orlando Bloom and Cara Delevingne to come back to lead Carnival Row season 2. David Gyasi and Tamzin Merchant are expected to come back in increased capacity for the second installment. They portray Argus and Imogen, respectively. Keeping in mind the finale of the first installment- Arty Froushan and Caroline might be coming in bigger roles for the second season. We can expect new faces to join the cast too. 

There are not many shake-ups on screen, but a lot behind it. In October 2019, Travis Beacham, the showrunner, walked out of the show due to creative differences. Carnival row adopted on a script by Beacham. So, him not being on board can cause series changes for the installment. Along with Beacham, Marc Guggenheim will have stepped back from being the showrunner. Erik Oleson has replaced Guggenheim for Carnival Row Season 2. 

Renewal & Release Date

Amazon renewed Carnival Row Season 2 even before they released the first season. The production company has been trying to create its own library of original content since 2013. Carnival Row is the first fantasy series in it. The show was renewed in July 2019. Then in November 2019, the creators announced that the production for Carnival Row Season 2 had already commenced. The show was expected to release sometime in August 2020. But now, keeping in mind the crew shake-ups and the ongoing global pandemic, we can expect some delay. Fans can hope for the show to hit the screens either later in 2020 or the first half of 2021.

Creators Hinting About Sherlock Season 5

In an interview a while ago, Gatiss revealed that they have a scope to continue the show. However, they don’t know when it could come back. In another interview, Moffat hinted at the same sentiment. He said that they never said goodbye to Sherlock. So, they will see what they can do. 

Why Is The Show Delayed?

Sherlock Season 5 is quite dependent on cast and crew’s schedule. Both the cast and the writers of the show are busy with many other projects. Benedict Cumberbatch has a plate full of Marvel universe, along with Patrick Melrose and many others. Martin Freeman is also keeping busy with some other projects. So, it could be some time before Sherlock Season 5 returns. 

Sherlock Season 5: The Cast

With all the hints the creators and cast have been dropping, we know that the whole original cast would be coming back. Benedict Cumberbatch will reprise the role of Sherlock when the show returns. Martin Freeman would also come back as Dr. Watson. Louise Brealey, who played Molly Hooper had discussed earlier that she would like to revisit her character. She even revealed that she and Un, who plays Mrs. Hudson discussed it and concluded that they would love to do their characters all over again. Freeman Reveals They Have Discussed The Show

In an interview, Freeman revealed that if they find a great pitch, they will sign up for the show. However, they are looking for something exceptional. If they find something exciting, they are all open to it. They wouldn’t come back with something quite good. Sherlock isn’t the kind of show. 

He revealed that they had some discussions. All of them, Mark, Steven, the writers and Benedict and Freeman himself. He says that if their schedules match and they come up with something good, Sherlock is happening. 

Writer Tom Bidwell Hints What Could Be Coming Up

Writer Bidwell talks about things they can pursue in Sherlock Season 5. He stated that in Sherlock Holmes’s books, a group of street kids is mentioned. They were the kids who used to help him find clues. So, they could pursue an arc where maybe Sherlock was a drug addict? And the kids were the ones who solved the cases? 

Bidwell also stated that Sherlock is his dream project. He has been pitching the idea for the past ten years. He even revealed that Netflix is quite supportive of their vision and are allowing them to be very ambitious with how they want to tell their stories. 

Renewal & Release Date Status

The network has not yet officially renewed the show. However, with all the hints that cast & crew are dropping, we can expect the show to return sooner or later. The latest installment released in 2017. It has been a long time, so fans are hoping the show comes back sooner. 

We don’t know when the show would come back. Looking at the demand, maybe the creators would renew the show by the end of the year. Let’s be hopeful and expect that Sherlock Season 5 could hit our screens by the end of 2022 or maybe early 2023.

The third season of the reality drama will also focus on the wedding of Christine Quinn and Christian Richard. One of the series stars, Jason, teased that it will be going to the best wedding ever, and it will set standards for weddings. In his recent interview, he said, “Christine’s marriage was apparently the craziest thing I’ve ever seen in my career. It was one of the most wondrous experiences I’ve ever had! That lady put on a show – it surpassed everyone’s expectations. Recently, For Life inspired by the real-life story made quite the headlines for ABC. And now everyone wants to know whether they will see For Life Season 2 or not. The newly debut show got a great response from the fans as well as the critics. According to some reviews, it is one of the finest examples of the transformation of real-life onto the screen. 

For Life is a legal drama TV series. Hank Steinberg created this show for ABC. The plot of this show is an adaptation of the real-life story of Isaac Wright Jr. The series made its debut on February 11, 2020, and the finale episode aired recently on May 12, 2020. It follows Isaac’s journey from his false imprisonment to become a lawyer who helps twenty other people to get rid of their wrong accusations.

For Life Season 2: Renewed?

There is a piece of good news for the fans of this series. ABC renewed the show for its second season just two days after the inaugural season ended. The show creator, Hank Steinberg, shows his gratitude towards the whole cast and crew of the series. For Life Season 2: Release Date

Even after the early renewal of the series, the viewers might have to face the hiatus to watch the second season. The creators won’t be able to start working on the following installment because of the production shutdown. The fans can expect For Life Season 2 to premiere on ABC by the end of 2021.

Cobra Kai Season 3: What Will Netflix Get Out Of The Deal?

In the new deal with Youtube & Sony Pictures, Netflix will get exclusive rights for Cobra Kai Season 3 along with non-exclusive rights for the first two seasons. Netflix competed with Hulu when the news came out that Sony Pictures was looking for a new streaming service for Kobra Kai Season 3. The leading contenders were shortlisted to Netflix and Hulu, but Netflix has a global reach, massive subscriber base, and passion for the material. Hence the deal was signed, and now Netflix is the new home for Cobra Kai Season 3 and more seasons to come. 

Why Did YouTube Cancel The Show?

After releasing the second season of the show, YouTube renewed Cobra Kai season 3 in April 2019. However, since sometimes, YouTube has been changing a lot of things. While they were committed to release the third season, the streaming platform notified Sony TV partners that they wouldn’t be able to renew Cobra Kai for a fourth installment. To secure the show’s future beyond the third season, Sony started shopping for an outlet that could order additional episodes of the series. 

After the news came out, many streaming giants were keenly interested in the show. One of the main reasons, along with the popularity, was the shortage of such a high end scripted program looking for a streaming outlet in such time when almost all Hollywood productions have paused. A finished season of the show with such a built-in audience could be a gem in this situation.

The creators of the show- Heald, Hurwitz, and Schlossberg, reveal their excitement about moving to Netflix. In a statement, they stated that creating Cobra Kai was their dream coming true. Yesterday morning, Netflix released a video of Lucifer Season 5 on its official Twitter account. The video portrays the naughtiest acts that Lord of Hell performs. Lucifer Season 5: Release Date

Good news for the fans. Netflix announced that Lucifer Season 5 will premiere this August 21. But, this time, the series would be divided into two segments. Lucifer star Tom Ellis revealed that the first eight episodes will stream on the premiere day, while the other set of eight episodes will stream after an undefined break.

The Longest-Running Show

Earlier, Lucifer Season 5 was supposed to be the final season of the series. So, Netflix ordered eight more episodes to conclude the series. This additional six more hours is because of the fans’ passionate love and support for Lucifer. That brings Lucifer back to Netflix for its sixth season, after being canceled from its former network Fox. With 77 episodes through its five seasons, Lucifer becomes one of the longest-running Netflix original series.

The Witcher Season 2: New Witchers

Season two will have some of the elements from The Last Wish and The Sword of Destiny. Lauren Hissrich says in an interview with The Wrap that there will be new witchers entering the second season. The new one will be Vesemir (Killing eve’s Kim Bodnia), Coen (Yasen Atour), Lambert (Paul Bullion), and Eskel (Thue Ersted). She added that the upcoming installment would show characters existing in the same timeline, opposing the controversial multiple timelines.

Different Than Previous Season

Season one of the show had characters existing in various timelines. The same will not happen in season two. The Witcher Season 2 will have only one timeline, where we get to go in flash-backs and flash-forwards. The same wouldn’t have been possible with a different set of timelines. Because that would lead to confusion, and messed up story, like season one. Therefore, this time it will be simple, but challenging.

The Handmaids Tale is an American dystopian tragedy series. The show, created by Bruce Miller, is based on the 1985 novel of the same name. The series debuted in the year 2017. The plot revolves around a second American civil war, where a totalitarian society subjects fertile women, called Handmaids, into child slavery. The show has won various awards, including Primetime Emmy Awards, Golden Globe Award, and Outstanding Drama Series. The tale has a different class of women, like fallen women, econowives, aunts, and many more. They all have a different set of styles, wearing and living differently.

However, much of the plot revolves around June (Elisabeth Moss). June was captured and forced to become handmaid because of the adultery she and her husband committed. She desires to reunite with her family. Moreover, her struggle adds beauty to the show. It is yet to see what The Handmaids Tale Season 4 will have in it.

The Handmaids Tale Season 4: Delayed?

The show’s fourth season was expected to launch this year. But, this seems not to be happening, as there has been an official announcement of the delay. Hulu revealed this delay on Monday during the virtual newfront presentation to advertisers. Same as that of June fighting with the tragedy, the show will also fight and come up next year.

Next Season Could Feature Death

Waterford and Serena face trial against rape and forced impregnation in Canada. However, fans believe that they must get some harder punishment.
