Disney is famous for its incredible animated series, which people of different ages belove. And recently, the streaming platform has come up with its latest addition Amphibia. But after Disney’s animated series, Amphibia, wrapped up its third season, fans are clamoring to know the series’ future. So will the streamer return with Amphibia Season 4? Well, fans are curious as it’s almost been a year, since they last saw their favorite character embarking on her latest adventure. While waiting for the official announcement is difficult, the creator’s statement hints that Amphibia Season 4 won’t return this year. Inspired by creator Matt Braly’s childhood memories and family trips to Bangkok, Disney’s Amphibia chronicles a fearless teen Anne Boonchuy’s adventures. Well, the independent and kind girl is suddenly transported to a fantastical world of amphibians. Her magical transportation lands her in a rural marshland where frog people live. Anne meets enigmatic pollywog Polly Planter, young frog Sprig Plantar, and their grandfather Hop Pop there. While stuck in the magical world, Anne learned the true meaning of friendship and embarked on her journey to explore Sprig’s world.

Amphibia Season 4: Is It Renewed?

Unfortunately, the third installment of Amphibia was the final installment of the animated series franchise. The creator Matt Braly had previously confirmed that the third season would mark the end of this saga. He told ComicBook they had always envisioned the show as a three-season arc. In fact, it was their plan from the beginning, and they started Amphibia’s production by keeping it in mind. In August 2020, Matt also did an Ask Me Anything on Reddit, where he unveiled that Amphibia was a 3 act story and he had structured it that way.

Well, the team had already crafted the final dialogues of their lead characters way before the pilot season premiere. So it didn’t make sense to stretch the show by bringing Amphibia Season 4. Surprisingly, the team never had a guarantee that they would get three seasons. The show initially started broadcasting on YouTube before Disney picked it up. Matt also stated that they never expected Disney would come forward to show its interest in their show. Matt said working with Disney Channel and its streaming platform was a great opportunity.

However, they never planned to continue with Amphibia Season 4. Matt also cited that three was the lucky number for the show, as they got three girls, three races, and three gems. So the three seasons arc felt right to wrap it up. But there was a catch as they had to focus more on the narrative momentum to wrap each character’s arc neatly and beautifully, Matt told The Wrap.

Will There Be Any Chance Of Amphibia Season 4?

Sadly, there’s little to no hope that the fourth season of Amphibia will return to fans’ screens. Way before the series finale, the storyboard artist Alex Swanson confirmed on Twitter that season 3 would mark the last season of the series. He stated: “Amphibia’s final season starts this Saturday,” suggesting its March 2022 release. Later the press campaign dashed the last hopes for Amphibia Season 4. In the press campaign, Matt stated how the final episodes “All In” and “The Hardest Thing” were longer than their past episodes. And how they had put these two together to create a perfect series finale.

However, the last episodes of VOD faced delays, and soon Matt revealed that it was their original plan to release the VOD later. This is because Matt wanted to keep the hype for Amphibia. He said the team had put so much effort and loved into creating and executing the finale. In fact, the level of animation and the voice actors’ performance were incredible. They really brought something special, and he was proud of his team’s work. But there’s no chance the team will return with Amphibia Season 4.

They Can Return With A Spinoff

As per Matt, the series will never explore Amphibia Season 4, but there’s a chance the Amphibia franchise will get one or more spinoffs. Matt told The Wrap he would be glad to revisit the characters where they left off in the final outing. He would love to explore the different story arcs if it keeps the spirit of it intact. Further, he explained that Disney wanted to cover some little spinoffs or shorts of Amphibia, and they had returned with plenty of successful creations.

These include Teen Girl In A Frog World (2019), Wild Amphibia (2019), Disney Theme Song Takeover (2020-2021), Chibi Tiny Tales (2020-2022), and Vlogs From The Bog (2021). So if the streaming platform pitches a spinoff, then Matt and his team will indeed return. Further, Matt told ComicBook that they are open to sequel stuff too. Although it feels the saga is over, that doesn’t mean they won’t return in comic book form. Well, Marcy’s journal is expected to release soon, giving details about the character’s off-camera life.

So he believed that Anne’s world would be revisited, perhaps in comic book form. But currently, he’s not into exploring Amphibia’s world as Matt wanted to take a break from writing. The creator further revealed that he was going back to his 2015’s creation quite often to finish the series. So now, he wants to take a break before jumping on another project. Speaking of his next project, Matt revealed that he wanted to work on a limited series or movie. He had a million ideas to kick start with, and he may return with a romantic storyline.

The previous episode began with Sam-sik’s mother yelling at him for trying to rob Kang-ho. Soon the scene shifted to Mi-joo, who took Ye-jin and Seo-jin with her to Kang-ho’s house, determined enough to reveal them about their father. But sadly, Young-soon passed out, so Mi-joo and Kang-ho’s potential finance Hoang took her to the hospital. Once Young-soon’s condition was stable, Hoang introduced herself to the former’s son, leaving Mi-Joo awkward. As for Kang-ho, he finally learned about Young-soon’s diagnosis and started pleading to his mom that he didn’t like Mi-joo and wouldn’t wish to become a prosecutor anymore. After listening to his words, Hoang realized that Kang-ho wasn’t her match.

Mi-joo then comforted Kang-ho, and shortly after, her mother reached the hospital and hit her for being too close to Kang-ho. However, their beating session was interrupted by Young-soon’s voice, who didn’t want to stay at the hospital anymore. Young-soon wanted to spend the rest of her days with her son. Meanwhile, Sam-sik found a memory card and the DNA test results from Mi-joo’s bags, while Young-soon was heartbroken after learning Hoang left. Irritated, Young-soon blamed Mi-joo for this, leading to a furious argument between her and Gum-ja. Elsewhere, Sam-sik asked Kang-ho to open the memory card containing a voice recording. It scared Kang-ho as the recording had Tae-soo and Woo-byeok discuss getting rid of Soo-Hyun and her baby.

The Alienist Season 3: Although OTT platforms are dominating the industry, the popularity of period dramas depends upon the story and not much on networks. This is why TNT has become the subject of discussion ever since it enlisted a period drama to its broadcast list. Titled The Alienist, this series was dropped in 2018 and sparked off two successful seasons. It is known to address various issues like corruption, yellow journalism, and income inequality. However, with the trio of heroes and intriguing cases to solve, The Alienist is apparently capable of continuing for several installments.

But following the end of the first season, the drama was quickly renewed for a sophomore installment. So will it happen with its third run too? Well, lately, the period drama has begun appearing in the search results as fans are curious about The Alienist Season 3. Here’s what we know!

The American drama is based on the novel of the same name that was written in 1994. Interestingly, the sequel also took its inspiration from a novel titled “The Angel Of Darkness.” Both were penned by American historian and author Caleb Carr. The Alienist revolves around a series of gruesome murders and follows a serial killer. The central characters investigate the entire case and confront historical figures. Besides this, the finale of season 2 witnessed the team’s win in solving the case of the missing baby. In addition, the series received a second life after Netflix begged the digital streaming rights at a whopping amount.

Is There Any Chance Of The Alienist Season 3? What Did The Makers Say?

The ten-episode-long season 1 was released officially on January 22, 2018, and the finale aired on March 26, 2018. Before the official premiere, the episodes were dropped on the original network, TNT, as a sneak peek. Soon after the debut installment wrapped up, it was picked up for another season. The sequel was announced on August 16, 2018, and it began airing on July 19, 2020. The most recent episode that fans have watched was unveiled in August 2020. However, the follow-up series had two episodes less than that of the initial batch.

Talking about the third season, no official words have come from the side of either makers or the network. TNT has yet to reveal whether it will order new episodes. Since an official announcement is in the pending status, the window for The Alienist Season 3 is still open. It is quite possible for the creator to show up with a renewal statement in the coming months as currently the lead cast is busy with different projects. So, Sara and Kreizler convinced the woman to give up on Clara as the police were already on their way to arrest her.

The Alienist Season 3 is likely to dive into a new novel by Caleb Carr. It might return with another territory and new investigative cases. The third novel in the series is titled Surrender, New York, and is set in the present-day city. So, this can be the possible source material for the potential season 3.

Which Actors Will Be Back In The Next Season?

When the series returned for season 2, the most prominent thing the makers did was focused on the characters more specifically. Therefore, TNT would not probably want to lose focus. Thus, it apparently implies that the core cast will return to their respective roles. Daniel Brühl as Laszlo Kreizler, Luke Evans as John Schuyler Moore, and Brian Geraghty as Theodore Roosevelt are bound to appear in the future.
