The main reason behind the delay of One Punch Man Season 3 is the lack of source material. The creators published a total of 21 manga volumes by the end of 2019. The first two already covered sixteen volumes of it, which left only five copies for the third season. And the creators need at least 7-8 volumes to make a full-fledged season.
