The news shocks him to the core, leaving the King in misery. Meanwhile, Shi-yeol and Hong-Joo have a word with each other. Later that night, the entire town gathers to support San, and they all head to the palace to punish the King. It finally leads to a face-off between San and the King. Now it remains unclear who will win the battle and become the King.

In the previous episode, Tae-hwa and his men finally captured Yoo-ha, whom they believed to be Lee Seol. However, San was upset, but the rest told him to get going as they needed to reach a safe place. As for Tae-Hwa, he wanted to follow the Watchman, but the head guard said they needed to report to the King and took Yoo-ha with them. The truth shook Hong-joo, and she later ranted at Shi-yeol for belittling her. He tried to convince her but failed to prove his love for her.
