D.P. Season 2: Renewed By Netflix! Short Teaser Video Also Out, Know Release Date

Netflix has recently renewed the highly acclaimed military K-drama for D.P. Season 2. Not just that, the streaming giant has confirmed that the production for the second installment has kicked off. The first installment of the Kdrama debuted on Netflix in August 2021. Since its release, D.P. has managed to attain a wide viewership record across the globe. The K-drama has been selected for The New York Times best International Shows of 2021 on December 3. It has also earned a rating of 8.3/10 on IMDB and 8.8/10 on MyDramaList. Thus, Netflix has announced the second season after the show has achieved a new milestone at an International level.

The series is directed by Han Jun-hee and inspired by Kim Bo-tong’s webtoon named D.P. Dog’s day. A Quick Recap!

The previous episode began with Lee-hwi and Ji-woon sitting together after confronting her about being Da-mi. She said she did it to protect him. She knew about Ji-woon’s doubts about marrying her. So, So-eun broke the engagement.

After being freed by the burden of marriage, Ji-woon confronted his father about Da-mi. He warned his father about killing Da-mi. In the morning, Lee-hwi got hold of the Royal doctor and confronted him about killing the Eunuch. The doctor admitted that Lord Sangheon ordered to kill the Eunuch and her father. Thus, Lee-hwi decided to take Lord Sangheon down by finding the poison in her grandfather’s quarters.

Lee-hwi had a meeting with Queen Dowager and Lord Sangheon to buy time. She put the two elders against each other. Lee-hwi also assured that the secret about the twins would remain buried. Meanwhile, lord Sangheon played his next move to get rid of Seok-jo. His home was attacked by soldiers and tried to take his wife forcefully.

However, Ji-woon came to their rescue and helped free her mother by taking care of the soldiers with his father. When Ji-woon found out it was Sangheon, he tried to convince Seok-jo to help expose Lord Sangheon. Moreover, Eunuch Hong and Coutlady Kim were kidnapped by Prince Wonsan as Hyun tried to save them. However, Hyun lost to his brother, who nearly killed him. 

Lord Sangheon Arrested For Treason

Seok-jo made a last attempt to ask mercy from Lord Sangheon. He begged for his family’s safety, but Sangheon turned him down. Meanwhile, in The King’s Affection Ep 19, Ji-woon searched Sangheon’s quarters and found the poison vial. However, the guards spotted him and attacked Seok-jo while the two tried to escape. Eventually, Ji-woon and Seok-jo were arrested and sent to prison, where they met Kim and Hong.

Lee-hwi found out about it and rushed to the rescue Ji-woon with her guards. She charged her grandfather for prison and asked the guards to escort him to jail. Lee-hwi freed Seok, Ji-woon, Hong, and Kim from the prison. The trial was set for the following day, where Lord Sangheon would be tried and executed. Meanwhile, Lee-hwi had a meeting with Queen Dowager and told her the truth. She said her decision about stepping down from the throne.

Moreover, Ga-on brought Prince Jehyeon to the palace to be crowned. Before she left the throne, Seok-jo confessed his involvement in the whole matter and demanded punishment. However, Lee-hwi sent him to run an errand while she thought about his sentence. Lee-hwi also revealed the truth to Ha-kyung about being a woman. The queen was crushed after finding out that she had married a woman.

Happiness Season 2: Has tvN Renewed The Kdrama? Know Premiere Date And More Updates!

One of its kind apocalyptic thriller K-drama, Happiness has concluded the first season recently. And fans are wondering if there will be Happiness Season 2 in the future. The Kdrama premiered on tvN in November 2021, airing two new episodes weekly. The last episode of the Kdrama aired on December 11, which depicted a happy ending for the world and its main characters Yi-hyun and Sae-bom.

Created by Ahn Gil-ho and Han Sang-woon, the K-drama follows the residents of a high-rise apartment building in the future. The world is struck by a deadly apocalyptic infection that threatens the existence of humanity. The residents are stuck inside the building after lockdown is put into place. Over the course of 12 episodes, Happiness has depicted the struggle between the residents for food, water, and safety.

A Quick Recap!

Lord Wonsan Meets With Lord Sangheon

Hyun found Chang-woon’s body in the forest. Soon after, he went to see his brother Wonsan and confronted him about his plans to expose Lee-hwi. He tried to convince his brother to give up. But he retaliated by saying that a woman can never be the King. Thus, Wonsan went to see Lord Sangheon. He explained about the King’s placenta and the possibility of royal twins. 

However, Seok-jo stepped in and stopped the alliance from happening. Wonsan came there to join hands with Lord Sangheon to attain the royal throne. However, Lord Sangheon asked the guards to take him to the prison. 

Ji-woon Investigates The King’s Murder

Later, Ji-woon went to see Jil-guem to Saegembang. He needed his friend’s help to find a herb named Sonangcho, used to murder the King. Jil-guem eventually found a seller, but it turned out to be a trap. Seok-jo warned Ji-woon about it. He also told his son that his father would have to pay if he tried to expose Lord Sangheon.

But, Ji-woon didn’t listen and ran to save his friend. Ji-woon fought all the swordmen that were about to kill his friend. However, Ji-woon got cornered, and Seok-jo came to his rescue. He stopped the swordsmen and let them go.

Meanwhile, in The King’s Affection Ep 18, Lord Sangheon found out about the incident and called for Seok-jo. Sangheon asked him about the attack on Lee-hwi and Chang-woon. He was suspicious about Seok-jo’s intentions and asked one of his men to keep an eye on Seok. Further, Lord Sangheon went to see Lee-hwi. He told her about the rumors.

Lord Sangheon also told her about the story of the twins and how he had ordered Lee-hwi’s sister’s killing and murdered all the people who knew about it. Lee-hwi asked her why he was telling all this to her now. So, he told Lee-hwi, that he would not mind being called a monster to save her throne. 

While leaving, he stared at Eunuch Hong and Court Lasy Kim. So, Lee-hwi ordered the two to leave the palace. Hyun supervised their transportation. Kim asked him to stop at Ji-woon’s place. She told her that Lee-hwi was actually Da-mi, the girl Ji-woon had been crazy for since childhood. He forgot about So-eun and ran straight to the palace where Lee-hwi burned Jii-woon’s memories. He rushed to the secret garden and asked if Lee-hwi was really Da-mi in The King’s Affection Ep 18.

A Quick Recap!

The penultimate episode of Inspector Koo titled “The Brother” began with a flashback. Kyung-yi reminisces the last time she took a train ride with her husband. She felt a little gloomy, and her husband offered her a “Kyung-yi special” dish. She returned back to the present when K’s name was mentioned. Elsewhere, K disguised herself as a helper at the park. She stopped Seok-tae on the bridge and pretended to be excited about him being a politician.

After that, she inquired him about Hyeong-tae and his whereabouts. K revealed who she was and asked Seok-tae’s approval to kill his brother. She told him that if she killed his brother, he would win the Mayoral vote without opposition. However, Kyung-yi got to Hyeong-tae before K. Je-hui, and Kyung-yi tried to take Yong-sook down in exchange for her son’s safety. Although, she refused to listen and hid her son in an underground bunker.

Kyung-yi released Hyeong-tae’s video from the boat trip to pressure Yong-sook with no choice left. However, she bought out the mainstream media, who portrayed a false narrative of the doctored video. But, she was also aware that social media platforms could not be altered so easily. So, she ultimately went to Kyung-yi for help.

Meanwhile, in Inspector Koo Ep 11, Santa discovered the identities of everyone present in the video. When K got the identities, she sent a black doll to everyone. The video’s release also compromised Seong-tae’s campaign.

K Tries To Lure Hyeong-tae Out

Yong-tae tried to control the damage by public appearances, but she suffered an acid attack during a speech. She was rushed into the hospital with bandages all over her face. Meanwhile, K sent a video message to Hyeong-tae demanding 1 billion won. The video was accompanied by a voice recording of Seon-tae approving his brother’s killing. Hyeong-tae panicked and decided to leave the country after the press conference.

In the final episode, Yi-hyun and Sae-bom will find out Andrew’s secret when Lieutenant Lee discovers real Andrew’s body in his apartment. Moreover, with Yi-hyun’s condition worsening, Sae-bom will come across a shocking truth about his infection in the finale. Yi-hyun will lose control and bite Oh Joo-hyeong. While he controls his urges, Oh Joo-hyeong will go on a rampage biting people off. Tae-seok will also find about Yi-hyun’s infection while the struggle to search for the imposter Andrew continues.

Yi-hyun and Sae-bom discovered a blood spot in the previous episode. Thus, the duo decided to check up on the residents. They were sure that the infection has spread inside the apartment building. Meanwhile, Na Hyun-jyung hid her brother in another empty apartment with the chaos around. If anyone found out about his infection, her brother would be kicked out of the building.

Snowdrop K-Drama: Blackpink’s Jisoo Set To Debut Alongside Jung Hae-in! Premiere Date And More Updates

JTBC’s most anticipated K-drama series, Snowdrop, is all set to make a premiere very soon. Fans have been looking forward to seeing famous K-pop band Blackpink’s idol, Jisoo, as she will be making her on-screen debut with the upcoming show. She has been cast alongside renowned Korean actor Jung Hae, who is well-known for his contributions in “One Spring Night” and “Something In The Rain.” The show got pretty hyped up among the viewers soon after announcing the acclaimed star cast. The network has also revealed a series and posters and the official trailer of the K-drama.

The production of the K-drama began in November 2020. However, the production had to be halted due to a positive case of COVID-19 at the sets. Luckily, the production concluded in July 2021. In addition, the show has already been picked up by Disney+, which will make Snowdrop more accessible to fans around the globe. The K-drama will hit the screens by the end of the year. What Will Happen In Snowdrop?

The series is set in the background of South Korea’s Democracy Movement in 1987. The citizens came on the streets in a mass protest against the authoritarian government and demanded fair elections to form a new democratic government. Thus, the protest resulted in a democratic election in 1987, leading to the end of the authoritarian government and the beginning of democratic rule in Korea’s Sixth Republic.

Snowdrop follows Im Soo-ho, a graduate student who is found covered in blood by a young woman named Eun Young-ro. The female provides Soo-ho with refuge and hides him in her dorm room from the government. The duo eventually gets romantically involved while fighting the political oppression caused by the authoritarian government. An official trailer has also been released, revealing a lot of action, drama, and romance for the dedicated viewers.

The K-pop girl band Blackpink’s Jisoo will make her big debut as the lead Eun Youn-ro. And, she will be joined by star actor Hung Hae-in, who will portray Im Soo-ho. Furthermore, the show will comprise a star cast roaster of 23 actors. The main cast members of Snowdrop include Yoo In-na as Kang Chung-ya, Jang Seung-jo as Lee Kang-moo, Yoon Se-ah as Pi Seung-hee.
