Alice In Borderland is a Japanese dystopian thriller drama series that premiered on Netflix in 2020. The show revolves around Ryōhei Arisu and his pals. They unknowingly become a part of the games that put their lives at stake. And the punishment for quitting the games is death. The series progresses as Arisu, and his friends try to survive by playing the games where he meets Usagi.

Alice In Borderland Season 2: Expected Plot

The first season of Alice In Borderland ended with a potential end of the numbers card game. The players were playing “the Witch Hunt” on a challenging level. In order to win the game, the contenders had to find the killer of Momoka and throw him in the fire. Meanwhile, Usagi, along with his team members, saved Arisu. Further, he told them that in reality, Momoka took her own life when the game began. 

And the players won as they threw Momoka’s body in the fire while Chishiya gathered the card. However, after the game ended, they learned that the game organizers were actually the players who wanted to prolong their visas. As the players were confused, Mira came to them, telling them about the upcoming round of games. In the game, the players are supposed to collect the face cards.

There were many unanswered questions after the first installment. We expect the second season to reveal the answer for them. Alice In borderland Season 2 will introduce the audience to the new set of games planned. And we can only expect them to be even more dangerous than the first season. The season may also reveal to us the origin of the games and the motive behind them. In the second season, we will discover the fate of the players who managed to survive the first round. 

Usagi And Arisu’s Love In Second Season?

Things between Usagi and Arisu may have started on the wrong foot as Arisu declined Usagi’s help in the beginning. However, it has been emotional and heart-touching watching them slowly get close to each other. We can’t help but wonder what’s next for their connection in Alice in Borderland Season 2. Will, they just be friends, or a love story is already brewing between the two. 

Usagi had helped Arisu several times in the season, even when he had to put her own life on the line. For example, during The Witch hunt, Usagi went inside a burning building to save Arisu. Meanwhile, Arisu has also been there for Usagi, like the time when he valiantly drove the bus to save her. In the second season, things will be even more challenging. Thus, Usagi and Arisu will have to stick to each other.

What About The Real World?

One of the biggest mysteries in people’s minds was what happened to the real world in Alice In Borderland. During a scene in the first season, we saw Arisu, Chōta, Karube, and Shibuki talking about how they all ended up in the games. They discuss what could have potentially happened to the citizens of Tokyo. However, they were not able to come to a conclusion.

Even Hatter and his associates were not able to determine the truth. We know that whatever happened was just in Tokyo but even outside its borders. If you have read the manga, you should already know what happened. And if you haven’t, then we’re not going to spoil it for you. Netflix dropped the first season of Alice In Borderland on December 10, 2020. And just ten days later, On December 20, the streaming giant greenlit the show for the sophomore installment. The production for the season began in July 2021, which according to reports, is in its last stages.
