Meanwhile, the spies will act to turn the table. They have already sensed the looming threat; now is the time to take action. The previous episode saw Lambda mapping a plan to kill Rose but dropped it after Cid visited her. Epsilon imposter as famous musician Shiron and escorted Cid into the palace. But Perv demanded the latter perform to prove he was the former’s student. Cid slayed the performance by performing Moonlight Sonata using his magic. It helped him sneakily rob everyone and steal the Ring of Succession from Perv’s pocket. However, he mistakenly stole Rose’s wedding ring instead. The latter’s maid agreed to provide Rose’s location in exchange for a favor. But Cid dodged her offer and finally entered Rose’s room.

Rose was glad to see him, unaware that Cid was also Lord Shadow. It was later revealed that she still loved him. Despite his plea, she intended to marry Perv. She even asked him to forget her and move on as she wanted to resume her old dedication to her kingdom. Cid then overheard Perv threatening Rose to obey him. Otherwise, he would kill Reina. Lambda and Epsilon were shocked to see Cid’s reaction as he didn’t punish Rose. But they later deduced that he must be into the missing ring that he sidelined Rose’s matter. Perv then declared to control Black Rose, unbeknownst that the ring box was empty. It was also revealed the villain had an affair with Queen Reina.
