In a recent interview with Hollywood Reporter, executive producer of Marvelous Mrs. Maisel- Sherman Palladino spoke about when they would get back to shooting. The team had not started the production before lockdown began. She says that they are ready. However, COVID is the master of all at the moment. She does not know if the productions will get to run full-fledged before there is a vaccine. Everything is quite scary.

She went on to say that there are a lot many things being said; there are a number of white papers. There is a paper from AMPTP, and then there is a paper from craft services, and there is also a paper from Lou’s Bagel Shop, but the truth is nobody really knows anything. Everyone is scared to death, and they don’t know what they must do. Everyone is kind of in the same boat. Things will be very scary. They know what is coming up for the fourth season, but they just don’t know when they would get to the shooting. They are all hopeful that things turn out to be the best.

In an interview, actress Caroline Aaron who plays the character Shirley, Joel’s mom, hinted that the fourth season might prove to be a tough one for the Maisel family. They are now trying to adjust to the changing times in the 1960s. As the show moves forward in the ’60s, things will change, and the world will fall apart for Moishe and Shirley. Things will no longer be the way they have seen it. Midge will be the one who brings in all these new things in the family, and it will be hard for everyone.

Bumpy Road Ahead For Midge and Susie

In the last season, Susie had gambled away a lot of Midge’s earning from her tour with Shy Baldwin. Eventually, in the season, Joel comes to know about this problem before Midge does. After all of it, Susie asks him to manage Midge’s money. After that, Susie commits an insurance fraud by burning down her mothers’ house to get the money she gambled back. The real incident happened in 1966, Los Angeles, when Lenny Bruce died of a morphine overdose. When he died, Lotus Weinstock was his girlfriend, who could have been Midge’s inspiration. Even though it is sometime before the show covers 1966, Bruce’s death might feature the show.

In an interview, Sherman-Palladino said that the minute we decided to bring Lenny Bruce on The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel Season 4, we knew where the show was going. She said that Lenny might present a cautionary take for Midge. Palladino suggested everyone knows where the show would end, but that would add a cautionary tale of ambition to the show.

Since the team hasn’t started the production and we don’t know when they would, it is very difficult to say when Marvelous Mrs. Maisel Season 4 would reach our screens. Since the writer’s team has restarted penning down the script after the Black Live Matter protest. In the beginning, the writer assumed things would proceed from where it left off. However, after the protest, some changes have occurred, and the scripting started from scratch. So they have no clue what would happen now.

Next Season Would Be A Groundbreaking

Andre added that the storyline had changed entirely, and the writers are still working on scripting a perfect story that would portray what they have discussed in their Zoom meetings. He continued that either the show would turn to be a groundbreaking or it would totally go flat. Since it is up to the audience whether they would like their efforts or not. We already know the show has never messed with its storyline, and every time it has depicted social issues with a hint of humor.

It Would Reflect The Reality

Speaking on the Black Lives Matter protest, Andre said the eighth season must reflect reality and portray the stories hidden from the audience. However, the show would describe it with their kinky and humor style. Further, it would explain how to deal with such situations when cops aren’t on the right path to deal with the world with justice. However, Andre continued that he doesn’t know what writers are penning down, as they haven’t revealed how far they reached in the story.

Captain Holt Would Face Challenge In The Next Season

Andre said that he knew Holt; he’s a loving, pragmatic, and robotic man, who always defends NYPD. So, he’s anxious how Holt would react after what the police did in the summer. It’s unclear whether he would stay in the police department and continue his work or burn down everything with his anger. Further, Andre said he’s too anxious whether they can portray such a tuff topic in comedy, will it work? However, the entire cast and crew members are optimistic about the next season.

The production house, Wonderstorm, announced in the virtual panel that the network had ordered another batch of fresh episodes for its fourth season. Further, Bardel Entertainment Inc., a Canada-based animation company, confirmed that they would shortly continue working on the next season.

Creator Confirmed More Seasons

Speaking on the season’s finale, the creator announced that it’s not the ending. They have collaborated with Bardel Entertainment Inc. for next three more seasons, besides season 4. They aren’t planning to end the show with the fourth season. As they have plenty of stories to portray in the upcoming season. So, it’s more likely that the show would run till seventh season, or more. However, they still have to discuss their plans with the streamer.

Showrunner Shared Their Excitement

The creator shared they are excited to continue their work with Netflix and Wonderstorm. They have already created wonderful art pieces with them, and now they would like to continue their work more. It’s exciting to expand this incredible universe into another rich four seasons. They added they are blessed to collaborate on this fantastic project with them.

Well, of course, the main protagonist is back to lend his voice. It means Jack DeSena will return to voiceover Callum. Paula Burrows and Sasha Rojen will also return to give voice to Rayla and Ezran. Erik Dellums and Jason Simpson will voiceover Aaravos and Viren. Jesse Inocalla and Racquel Belmonte would return to lend their voice to Soren and Claudia.
