It’s been more than a year since the renewal of American Gods Season 3. And now the fans are eagerly waiting to have it on the screen. A lot of things have happened in the past several days, including the arrival of a new showrunner for the third season. Some cast members are slightly disappointed with this decision and want their previous showrunner back. However, it is now cemented that Charles Chic Eglee will hold this position for the upcoming installment as well.

American Gods is an American fantasy drama Tv series. Bryan Fuller and Michael Green created this show for Starz. It is the remake of the 2001 novel of the same name by Neil Gaiman. The show made its debut on April 30, 2017. The inaugural season turned out to be a huge success for the network resulting in the renewal of further installments.

Production Status Of The Third Season!

According to various reports, the production for the third season of the series began in late 2019. To be more specific, the cast and crew started the filming in October 2019 in Toronto. The original plan was to wrap the shooting schedule by March 6, 2020. However, whether the creators managed to pull it off or not is still unknown. The creators didn’t release any official words regarding the completion of the filming of American Gods Season 3. Even if the production is not completed, it is safe to assume that at least 90% of the work is already done. 

American Gods Season 3: Plot Details!

Ricky Whittle, one of the show’s main lead actors, recently talked about the show’s plot in his interview. He said, “I feel that now the series is actually becoming its own thing and it’s growing into a diverse organism. There are so many distinct kinds of directions that the show can go in. We can even take in Gaiman’s 2005 book “Anansi Boys” and 2007’s “The Monarch of the Glen,” and all the other spin-off tales that he writes, and the eventual sequel. It really can go wherever, and it is interesting. We might not certainly finish at the book, or maybe the novel will finish before, and we’ll develop into something else.”

American Gods Season 3 will follow Shadow Moon as he moves to Lakeside, Wisconsin, with a new name to hide from the New Gods. The third season will also reveal the purpose of Shadow Moon. Besides that, there is nothing about the storyline of it. However, one thing is sure that the next season will be a lot more intense and interesting than the previous two seasons.

American Gods Season 3: Release Date

The third season of the series was originally scheduled to release in the later months of this year. The Umbrella Academy Season 3: Renewal News & Release Date

While Netflix hasn’t officially released any information about The Umbrella Academy Season 3 yet, What’s On Netflix has revealed that the show is unofficially renewed. Earlier on, ProductionWeekly had also reported that The Umbrella Academy is renewed and will start production sometime in October 2020. Obviously, this news isn’t a big surprise. Fans were anyways confident that the third season would happen. The show is immensely popular ever since it released in 2019. 

Some other reports reveal that the creators have already started the pre-production process of the show. However, they do not plan to start production before the end of this year. Back in February 2019, showrunner Steve Blackman revealed that it takes about 18 months to produce one season of the comedy show. So, if the team decides to start working on the show by the end of this year, we might get to see The Umbrella Academy Season 3 sometime in 2022. 

Did The Umbrella Academy Start A New Timeline?

The second season left all the viewers with a number of questions. Everybody wants answers to all of them. One big question among all of them is- when and where are the siblings now? Where did they get in the second season? In the final moments of the previous installment, everybody believed that The Umbrella Academy siblings had used the briefcase from The Commission and came back to 2019. It will be something that has been hidden for a long time. The siblings will come to know about many things that are going on behind the scenes.

Not just that, siblings will come to know about the true nature of many characters that have been with them for the longest time. Way revealed that the series would finally start answering the question about the other babies that were born that day at that very moment. He even hits that The Umbrella Academy siblings won’t be the only ones in the world anymore. It looks like Reginald had adopted many more kids than just the seven special ones. He had trained other groups as The Sparrow Academy.  

Who Will Be The New Villain?

By the end of the second season, Harlan had lost all the powers. However, we came to know that, for the very least, he has telekinetic abilities. In his various interviews, Goodman hinted about what the next batch of episodes will bring for the fans. Collectively he said, “Are there going to be any effects for what Isaac did? So, it could be possible that in the fourth chapter, Emily and Cal’s romantic love story would come up. Further, the ending pointed towards a new chapter in Emily’s life. Perhaps her life would get a little peaceful than before.
