Is The Show Renewed?

History channel hasn’t renewed The Curse of Oak Island Season 8 yet. However, fans are already sure that the show is happening. The show has a huge viewership up till the seventh season. So, we can be sure that Lagina brothers and their team will come back to solve the whole mystery. They will complete the business they could not in the seventh season. And after all, how could they cancel the treasure-hunt show until the treasure is not found? 

The Curse of Oak Island Season 8: What Could Be Coming Next?

Lagina Brothers will come back in the eighth season to explore more of The Oak Island and discover more about the secrets. Until now, Lagina Brothers had been working on the whole island. But now, Lagina Brothers will be focusing more on all the critical places. In the seventh season of the show, the team was exploring Shaft 8. All fans can hope that they would find something important in that place. It is also possible that they would be able to unveil the secrets. 

The Samuel Ball’s Secret Tunnel 

By the end of the seventh season, the team did a radar survey on Samuel Ball’s property. The team worked to uncover what they think is a tunnel. They think that it has some connection with the treasure hiding near Ball’s house, or maybe it is the money pit. The whole Oak Island team is working to figure out things about the tunnel. But is it really that?

The television images reveal that the tunnel is quite small, perhaps only 40 cm wide. So, that can’t be used as a passageway for humans. The exploration using the snake camera revealed that it is a low cavity and is covered by flat stones. That suggests that Samuel Ball did not move gold using that tunnel from the Money Pit. 

Fans Have Suggestions On What It Could Be

One of the Reddit users suggests that the tunnel doesn’t seem very elegant enough, and perhaps it could be a sewer line or maybe even covered drain. Earlier in 2016, Archaeologist Jennifer Bracewell and her team had found a similar structure only a bit bigger in size in the 18th century Maison Nivard site. The archeological team had back then concluded that the main question for them was whether the structure was a drain used for domestic sewage or just for agricultural runoff? The fan added. 

Earlier in an article in 2001, Northeast Historical Archeology, Sherene Baugher has discussed the drainage features on various archeological sites. The illustrations he presented seem very much like the tunnel near Ball’s land. The fan went on to say that he really hopes that the team follows up with it and finds out what the tunnel really does. Is it connect to the house, or is it an agricultural drain. 

Has Anyone Else Found The Treasure Before Lagina Brothers? 

Treasures are a tale that everyone gets attracted to. While there aren’t many shreds of evidence of all the treasure hunters, it is believed that the Oak Island saga first started in 1799 when three teenagers found a depression on the Island, which was believed to be a place with hidden treasure. Ever since then, many people have tried to find the treasure but haven’t been very successful. There are many theories surrounding the treasure, here is what it is- 

The South Shore Theory

The South Shore Theory takes us back to the sixteenth century. It speculates that Sir Francis Bacon had hidden something precious and incredible on the Island. To save his treasure, he had put up many booby traps. These traps could be seas, water, pits, and shafts. All fans who have been keeping up with the show for years, Lagina brothers have found pieces of evidence of shaft, the money pit, and even found the coconut traces. Could this theory have some significance? 

Treasure Pirate Theories

This is one of the earliest theories regarding the treasures hidden in the Oak Island. According to the theory, a pirate- Captain Kidd buried some treasure. They, in fact, made the Oak Island their treasure bank. Another pirate-treasure theory speculates that another Pirate Edward Teach had buried treasure deep in the lands of the Island where only either he or the satan would find it. 

The Templars Theory

William S. Crooker, the author of the book Oak Island Gold, suggests that Templars, or maybe Incas, made the money pit to hide their treasure from the Spanish conquerors. But then, when the British invaded the land, the engineers and sailors dug the pit and looted the whole treasure. 

The Death Theory 

One of the most speculated theories surrounding the treasure at Oak Island is the death theory. The legend of this theory suggests that the treasure on the Island is, in fact, cursed. The treasure would only be found after seven deaths while finding the treasure. Over the years, many people have gone on to find the treasure. As for now, six people have died while finding the treasure. 

The Curse of Oak Island Season 8: Release Date

While we are very confident that The Curse of Oak Island Season 8 is coming, we also know that the next season is delayed. The show will take a long time to release as compared to all the previous seasons of the series. One of the biggest reasons for this is the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. The pandemic has affected everything, only causing the delay. While productions are resuming this August but would Curse of Oak Island Start productions now? 

Another reason for the possible delay is the budget issue. By the end of the seventh season, Marty Lagina revealed that they are facing a budget problem and wouldn’t be able to come back until they have enough financial aid. Other than that, all the members of the team seem very excited to be back for the eighth season.

So, we can expect them all to come soon and start digging and solving the mysteries on Oak Island. Latest reports reveal that the borders to Nova Scotia will be closed until at least January 2021. Like other television series, the comedy-drama’s filming also got affected by the outbreak of coronavirus pandemic. The filming for its third season has put on hold. That left the future of the Roy family in limbo. In the previous season, Roy’s family traveled to Logan Roy’s hometown of Dundee, Scotland, to celebrate his 50 years in the business. However, Logan’s son Roman Roy’s business takes a strange twist. So, Roman takes financial help from a new source, that he hesitates to disclose. But, to maintain the company’s reputation, Logan takes a sharp turn.

Succession, created by Jesse Armstrong, is a sarcastic comedy-drama series on HBO. It follows the owners of media and entertainment Waystar Royco of a dysfunctional Roy family. Logan Roy’s (Brian Cox), the family head, health worsens with time. His children are Connor (Alan Ruck), the eldest one, Kendall (Jeremy Strong), the power-hungry second son. Roman (Kieran Culkin) immature son who doesn’t take the responsibility seriously. Siobhan “Shiv” Roy (Sarah Snook) the only daughter and company’s political fixer. They are the rightful descendant of the company that he established. However, Roy’s children started preparing the company’s future without their father, where each child begin competing for fame within the company.

Succession Season 3: Filming To Start In Autumn

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Macfadyen revealed that the third season was initially scheduled to begin filming in April. However, due to the ongoing pandemic, the filming for season three pushed back. But, they are hoping to start filming somewhere in the autumn. However, it’s unclear whether they could make it or it would push back again, as some of the television series scheduled their filming in January 2021.

Thus, there’s a slight possibility that the production team would stretch their filming schedule. If considering the current condition, then it’s unsure whether everything is safe to reopen. Moreover, the government is working on making everything safe to resume production. But, whether they could continue it now is not sure.

Macfadyen said: “They’re hoping to start in the autumn. But I know that many shows are sliding to January. I think it changes from week to week or day-to-day. (Since) Restrictions are put in place and then removed. So, there are things that you can do, and then you can’t do.”

Slight Chance That Filming Might Reschedule

Macfadyen continued that it’s a tough decision to make, and it’s like a pure gamble. If the production team decides to start filming soon, they have to deal with all the consequences as well. What if something terrible happens in the middle of the shoot? Then everything would be screwed. And they wouldn’t be able to film the way they wanted it. So, it’s quite tricky for the production team since every cast and crew safety and life is in their hands.

He added: “The producers have to make tough decisions about whether to start or not. And whether they’ll be screwed up halfway down the shoot if something else happens. And then wouldn’t be able to do the show the way that you want it to be done. So it’s tricky. But fingers crossed. I miss it.”

Is Shrek 5 Happening?

While many rumors were making rounds about Shrek 5 being canceled, that isn’t true. The fifth movie from the franchise was announced many years back and had gone into pre-production at that time. In 2016, NBC Universal and Dreamworks confirmed that they would make the fifth movie and complete the five-movie franchise.

What’s The Production Status?

Shrek 5 scripts are complete. In an interview back in 2016, the director- Mike Mitchell, that screenwriter Michael McCullers was working on the scripts. Then in 2017, the screenwriter Michael himself spoke about the scripts for Shrek 5. He said that he has finished the script and has really loved it. The script seems very personal to him. He has put a pretty big reinvention in the fifth movie, but he would rather keep it a secret. The filming for the movie hasn’t yet started. We can all expect it to start by the end of 2020 or early 2021. 

Back in September 2016, Eddie Murphy confirmed that Shrek 5 would release sometime in either 2019 or 2020. Recently, In March 2020, Shrek 5 production team took on to twitter to announce that keeping in mind the ongoing pandemic, the movie will be delayed to 2021. However, now reports reveal that Shrek 5 would release sometime in September 2022.  

What’s Coming Next?

All fans have been thinking that since Shrek 5 is another movie from the same franchise, it would continue the story. However, it isn’t like that for the upcoming movie. Shrek 5 will not start where the fourth movie left. In fact, it will bring a new story right from scratch. The new owners at Dreamworks want the movie to be very different from what the first four Shrek Movies have shown. In an interview, they had revealed that the creators would reinvent the movie and give it a fresh story. They wanted a brand-new movie that nobody has seen before. However, they do want to keep the same characters. 

We can expect Shrek and Donkey to come back to the sequel. They will also bring in most of their adventures. New characters might join the cast and play very important parts in how Shrek 5 turns out to be. After the fifth movie was announced, Steve Burke, the CEO at NBC Universal, said that the investors had chosen Chris Meledandri to oversee the whole production for the Shrek movie. He said that he is confident that taking Meledandri on board would give a new life and perspective to the franchise. We expect that the creators would reveal new information about the movie now. This Is Us Season 5 filming has yet to start. However, the network partner NBC is looking for some safe ways to begin their filming. On July 28, Emmy 2020 nominations announced for the award ceremony, that will held on September 20. This Is Us has been nominated for five Emmy 2020 awards. In which, Sterling K. Brown (Randall Pearson) got in for Best Actor in Drama Series. Meanwhile, Phylicia Rashad (Carol Clarke) and Ron Cephas Jones (William Hill) acclaimed for Outstanding Guest Actress/Actor in a Drama Series. Further, the show “This Is Us” has been listed for Contemporary Hairstyling. As well as for the fourth season premiere Original Lyrics and Music for “Memorized” sung by Jack Damon (Blake Stadnik).

In that video, Sterling said he’s honored and blessed to receive two nominations for This Is Us and The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel. However, Dan also drew everyone’s attention on the fifth season story’s arc. He pointed out that those who didn’t acclaim would deal with an emotional discourse in the upcoming season. But later, Morse gets disappointed by the law enforcement and starts writing a resignation letter. Endeavour Season 8: Creator Explained The Finale

Endeavour Season 8 is expecting to return in 2021. However, the upcoming season would be the final season of this detective series. Recently, the series writer Russell Lewis and lead Shaun Evans confirmed that they want to wrap up the string before entering John Thaw’s era. In an interview, Russell discussed that he doesn’t want to join John and Morse era. It would be better to end everything much prior, than reuniting the both.

Russell said: “I’ll do it for as long as they want me to, but I know how it ends. We wouldn’t want to get to the point where you can see the join (of Endeavour Morse and John Thaw’s era). I think we’ll bow out long before that.”

Shaun Evans Said It’s The Best Time

Further, Shaun explained that it’s tough to make such a decision when everything is going so smoothly. But, they have to admit that it’s the end of their detective journey. They can’t lure everything by creating stories that could harm their show’s reputation. Though it’s a tough decision to make as they won’t be able to see those people with whom they worked. Moreover, they can’t do things now, which they like the most.

Shaun admitted: “This is our story, and we shouldn’t be staying at the party too long. It’s difficult because it’s like planning your funeral. Why would I not want to be earning this money? Why would I not want to be hanging out these people who I love? But you have to be strict. We shouldn’t be milking it.”

A Satisfying Ending

Shaun further confessed that they want to finish the series satisfyingly, not hanging the series in a dilemmatic edge. So it’s possible that the finale season would explain DI Fred Thursday story arc, as he never appeared in the series sequel. Thus, the finale would center on explaining whether the character dies or leaves the CID. On which Shaun said he’s looking for a spectacular death of one of the characters before jumping on Inspector Morse. It means a brutal ending is waiting for Fred and the series fans.
