About two years ago, Netflix brought in an Australian-New Zealand tv series. The show was called The New Legends of Monkey. It was inspired by a Japanese Production called Monkey that aired between the 1970s and 1980s. After the first season’s success, fans kept asking for more of the show. Everybody started becoming keen about The Legends of Monkey Season 2. 

The show features Monkey King Sun Wukong, who has been captured under a mountain around 500 years ago by his enemies. After 500 years, demons have taken over the earth and are oppressing all humans and demons. All gods are hiding too. In the time of need, a scholar makes a plan to bring a few warriors and a monk together to go on a quest and free Monkey King. In the quest, they also find the Heavenly scrolls that the Moneky had stolen 500 years ago and hidden somewhere in the earth. Whoever finds the scrolls would get unlimited power. Only when the group was about to start their quest, a demon attacks the scholar’s home and kills everyone. However, his daughter remains alive. She takes on the quest. 

As the quest moves forward, she moves out of the city with a magic crown. After that, she finds a stony visage with Monkey King’s face. So, she puts the magical crown on his head, which sets the Monkey King free. Both of them come back to the town and join Pigsy and Sandy, who also are gods. What’s Coming Next?

In the first season of the show, viewers got to see how the scholar, who was in charge of freeing the Monkey died because of the powerful demons. Hence his daughter Tripitaka took on that responsibility. After entering into this new and dangerous world, Tripitaka helped the Monkey King and let him out of the imprisonment. After that, both of them came back to the town and decided that they need to help Sandy and Pigsy, who are the gods in disguise. Who Will Come In?

The New Legends of Monkey Season 2: Release Date

The first season of the show surfaced on Netflix in April 2018 in the US and in all other regions with a bit delay. It had ten episodes. The productions for the second season started in September last year in 2019. The latest rumors about the show reveal that The New Legend of Monkey Season 2 would release sometime in August, most probably August 7 in the United Kingdom, the United States, and Canada. However, for viewers in Australia and New Zealand, the show would not release in August. The first season arrived on Netflix in Australia and New Zealand in January last year, which was about nine months after it released in the US. 

Netflix has done a pretty nice job of keeping all the details about the second season under wraps, so we don’t have much information on what is coming up. Black Adam, the comic book is created by C.C. Beck and Otto Binder, is the D.C. fictional supervillain character who’s the enemy of Shazam. Initially, he is the ancestor of Captain Marvel. After then, Black Adam started finding ways to clear his reputation. During his journey, he met with many elite groups, which he became a part of. These include the Justice Society of America (JSA), Infinite Crisis, 52, and Villains United. In 2009, Black Adam comic character was ranked as 16-greatest IGN’s comic book villain in all respects.

Noah Centineo Will Play Atom Smasher

Noah Centineo will be seen as Atom Smasher, who can control his molecular structure by changing his size and shape. Atom Smasher plays a vital role in the D.C. world. He’s been a member of the Justice League for some time and known as Nuklon. However, later he joined the Justice Society of America, and there, he’s known as Atom Smasher.

There Atom Smasher and Black Adam met and formed a strong brotherhood bond. That results as both left the JSA at the same time to explore their power. So, there’s a high possibility that the production would announce other members of JSA soon. They would portray a huge role in Black Adam.

Black Adam’s Journey

Dwayne Johnson, our well known “The Rock” is set to play supervillain of all time. It will be a solo movie focusing on Black Adam’s story. As we all know, Black Adam is the most powerful villain of the D.C. Universe. So, this movie would portray his noble life. The movie would lead the audience to his ancient Egyptian origin, where, he wasn’t the foe of Superman and Shazam.

However, the story arc of his character hasn’t revealed yet. If considering the comic story arc, the movie would portray Black Adam’s journey as Captain Marvel’s ancestor and his shifts as a rebel. He also challenged modern superheroes, including Shazam, many times.

The movie would depict the antiheroes’ conflicts as well, which might include the Justice Society of America. However, it’s not officially confirmed yet. Further, it would illustrate the rise of Black Adam and his powers, that indeed represent his origin of the fictional Middle Eastern kingdom of Kahndaq.

Black Adam: Production Lineup

Jaume Collet-Serra, who directed Jungle Cruise, Disney’s upcoming project, will be directing Black Adam. Beau Flynn of FlynnPictureCo., Jaume’s old collaborator, will produce the movie and Scott Sheldon of his production firm. Johnson, Hiram Garcia, and Dany Garcia, via Seven Bucks Production, will also serve as executive producers. Further, Adam Sztykiel will handle the writing department of the solo movie.

Renewed For Another Season?

On Wednesday, Hallmark Channel announced that it had renewed its popular fantasy drama series, Good Witch for its seventh run. Though the network had often announced the renewal of the next season early, even before the airing of current seasons. However, Good Witch Season 6 has wrapped up on the network without getting the upcoming season’s renewal details.

In April, Jason Bateman has spoken to Collider regarding the series premiere. In the interview, he said that it requires six months to write a script and also finalization of the concept. Then it takes almost six more months in narration. So basically, they need a total of a year to create an outstanding drama for Netflix. And this is the fastest way they can prepare. However, due to the ongoing pandemic, it’s hard to say when the filming would start.

Although slowly, the government started opening its entertainment production by following the strict health protocol imposed by them. Unfortunately, the fourth season is the final season of the series. In late June, Netflix confirmed that Ozark will be back for a final journey. However, the fourteen episodes’ final season will be split into two halves, each containing seven episodes. Netflix wants to build more excitement by expanding the series in a dramatic way that the streamer often does with other series.

However, this is not what the showrunner Chris Mundy expected. He said he’s hoping to expand the series for seven seasons or more than that, as the series gained huge positive responses from the critics and the audience. Stars Teased Production Details

In early January, the filming for Outlander Season 6 began. But due to the sudden hold on production, the filming halted in the midst. In March, Sam Hueghan revealed that the team was ready to start filming. Eventually, they shot the first episode. However, they couldn’t be able to continue that because of the ongoing pandemic. Later, Outlander star Caitriona Balfe tweeted that writers were working on the sixth season remotely even if filming isn’t resumed yet.

However, In June, Sam confirmed that filming is supposed to begin soon. But, the production team has to ensure that everything starts safely without spreading this deadly disease more. I’m hopeful that we’re going to be back before we know it.”

However, Urban Myth and Fox Studios decided to begin the filming during the lockdown. The production of War Of The Worlds Season 2 started on Monday, July 13, 2020. The cast and crew are aware of the global crisis and is taking full precautions to deal with it. They even hired a ‘COVID Coordinator’ to ensure the safety measures on the sets. 

Rules And Regulations To Be Followed On The Set!

As we mentioned earlier, some rules and regulations are to be taken care of while the production process. The producers are already working with the local government to set up a coronavirus testing regime for the cast and crew. The producer of Urban Myth, Johnny Capps, informed the fans about those rules. He said, “All engaged in the production must arrive for a temperature test the very moment they enter the location. If they do not have a high temperature, they are delivered a wristband and guided to an assistant director, and then they present their name and function. At this point, the person is given a color-coded armband, which defines what areas of the studio they can enter.”

Blue bands are kept mostly for office workers and means they are not allowed to enter the set. Those with red wristbands can reach the set, but not when the actors are present. Ultimately, green band wearers are in a tightly protected bubble with the cast, meaning they are allowed on the set while cameras are rolling. And the distance of two-meter is compulsory among all the members present on the location.

War Of The Worlds Season 2: Official Synopsis Out

The creators have released the official description of the second season. It contains spoilers from the debut season. Netflix recently brought a twisted tale of secrets, sex, and murder under the name Dark Desire. The show was quite successful in grabbing everyone’s attention. Now, Fans are looking forward to Dark Desire Season 2. Originally a Mexican show, the series is produced by Agros Comunicacion for Netflix. The show stars Jorge Poza, Maite Perroni, Regina Pavon, Erik Hayser, and Alejandro Speitzer. It started production in May 2019 and released in July 2020. 

Packed with seduction, suspense, and an up-and-coming cast, fans seem to love the story Netflix has brought on. Will there be more of the show? What do Netflix plans for the show? Here are all the details- 

What’s The Show About?

Scripted by Leticia Lopez Margalli, Directed by Pedro P. Ybarra and Kenya Marquez, Dark Desire brings in Alma, a law school professor. She is married to a judge named Leonardo. Leonardo is a man with many hidden secrets. The couple has a kid named Zoe. Alma is miserable because they have lost all the spark in their marriage. She visits her best friend for a weekend to help her through her grief after having an ugly divorce. 

While this weekend getaway was just supposed to be a break, it turns into a wild night of passion. Alma meets a 23-year-old Dario Guerra. She comes back to her home while trying to forget everything that happened. But then Dario comes in her class, which starts a chain of events leading to a murder. Detective Esteban is quite determined to find the killer, and he is suspicious of Dario. The first season ended with a blast. The detective solves the whole who-did-it-mystery, but then it starts an additional chain of events that will be the basis of Dark Desire Season 2. 

Who’s In The Cast?

For the first season, viewers got to see Maite Perroni as Alma, the protagonist for the show. Jorge Poza plays the role of Alma’s husband- Leonardo. Along with the two, Alejandro Speitzer comes in to play Dario’s role, Alma’s lover. Another in the cast list is Regina Pavon, who plays Zoe, Alma, and Leonardo’s daughter. The last one on the list is Erik Hayser, who plays Esteban, the private investigator. We can expect all these faces to reprise their roles for Dark Desire Season 2. Along with them, some new faces will also join in the second season.

When Would Dark Desire Season 2 Release?

The first season of the show released this July on Netflix. The show had 18 episodes with a runtime of about 30 minutes each. The way the first season ended concluded the main storyline for the show. However, with so many more additional storylines hinted in the finale, we expect more of the show. Netflix usually takes a few weeks to analyze the viewership. If the viewership figures turn out to be good, it is possible that Dark Desire Season 2 would come.

Netflix is trying to bring shows depicting around the globe to the platform, so the streaming giant may bring it back.
