Daniel Mays Talks About White Lines Season 2

In a recent interview with Digital Spy, Daniel Mays, who plays Marcus Ward, revealed a potential season 2 for Netflix’s thriller- White Lines. While he was promoting his home entertainment crime comedy- Code 404, the actor spoke about season 2. He said he does not has an idea about the status of White Lines season 2 because it hasn’t been renewed. However, he does know that they have plenty of material to cover. The British actor stated that there’s plenty of material that writers can explore. The first season concludes quite open-endedly. Talking about his character- Marcus, Mays said that there is alot left to explore in his character. Marcus’ last scene was him wanting to take over the whole drug operation that Calafat family-owned.

Rumors about Ejiofor coming back to the franchise as Baron Mordo had been making rounds for some time now. In the interview, Chiwetel Ejiofor confirmed the news. He also hinted when they would commence productions. The actor said that they are hoping to start production very soon. In fact, as soon as possible. They are all very excited to start it, and he for the one can’t wait. 

Who Will Be In The Cast?

There is a very short list of the announced cast at the moment. Ejiofor has joined it by confirming his return as Baron Mordo in Doctor Strange 2. For all we know, Benedict Cumberbatch is all set to come as Doctor Strange for the sequel. Joining him will be Elizabeth Olsen, who plays Wanda Maximoff, also known as Scarlet Witch. So far, just these names are rumored to come back from the first film. Rachel McAdams, who portrayed Christine Adams in the original movie, will not reprise her role. In the tweet, he revealed that he and Marvel have agreed to part ways for the sequel due to some creative differences. Doctor Strange 2: Release Date

Doctor Strange 2 was originally set to release in May 2021, but that was before COVID-19 took over everything. Ever since then, the release date has been changed twice. First, the sequel was pushed to November 5, 2021, when Black Widow was delayed. But now the sequel is pushed even further. The movie is set to release in March 2022.

In the episode followed, ‘Bob’ viewers get to see an army psychologist who gets to treat one of the strangest patients in his whole career- Bob, who is a depressed supercomputer.

The final episode of the first season- ‘Impulse’ is a story of a pro-FPS gamer who often uses an energy drink that gives her access to bullet time in the real world. It looks like a shortcut to fame and fortune initially but turns out to be a curse later on. Viewers can expect Dimension 404 to bring similar stories revolving around humanity and technology. 

What Is Happening To Dimension 404 Season 2?

The first season of the show released on April 4, 2017. The installment bagged mixed reviews from critics. While some called it ‘one of the best series in the genre,’ others compared it to Netflix’s sci-fi series ‘Black Mirror,’ which takes on a similar plotline, and called Dimension 404 an underdeveloped series.

Star Season 4: Renewal Status

Even after all the efforts by creator Lee Daniels, Fox has canceled the musical show- Star. Daniels took on to Instagram to share the unfortunate news. He posted a video speaking about the cancelation. 

Followers can see the creator saying that he has some bad news. The show isn’t happening. Daniels says that he tried his best. They had incredible people, so many that he cannot even list everyone. He will have to write a letter to name everyone. The creator continued to say that, in a nutshell, ‘Star‘ is not happening. He said he just wanted all fans to know that he tried his best. Counting other shows like Precious or Empire, Butler, and Monster’s Ball, the next is Star. Creator says that the show will now exist as being a part of his work. Why Did Fox Cancel The Show?

In an interview with Deadline Charlie Collier (Fox Entertainment CEO) revealed that they had to keep one show between Empire and Star. Star’s cancellation came as they prioritized Empire as it was on for its sixth and final season. Collier called the cancellation of the musical drama a tough choice. But, they wanted to give Empire a send-off it deserved. 

Speaking on Fox’s behalf in a press call, Collier says that they looked at their priorities. He went on to say that it was challenging for them to move Empire to the 9 pm slot because Star was always the lead out from the show. They didn’t have a 10 pm slot, so that was another tough choice they had to make while choosing between Star and Empire. 

Honestly, Star’s cancellation wasn’t unexpected. Recently Fox has picked up many new dramas. The musical drama- Star ranked solid but could not grab great ratings. Along with that, the production of the show is very expensive. Star’s International sale has particularly very difficult. All this only added the cancellation of Star Season 4. 

Created by Matt Nix, The Gifted is a superhero TV series of Fox. Two seasons of The Gifted are out. Fans are desperately looking forward to The Gifted Season 3. Creator Nix Reveals His Plans For The Gifted Season 3: 

There are several things The Gifted Season 3 could pursue. By the end of the second season, viewers saw Blink’s portrayal of an apocalyptic world on the other side. She invited all the mutants with her. The creator- Nix, says that he has ideas for The Gifted Season 3. He reveals the show will adapt from the Days of Future Past.

In an interview with TVLine, creator Matt Nix has spoken about what could be coming on the show. He revealed that he really wants to explore a world where humans and the mutants are living separately, and even through mutants have the same side theory, how will they control themselves? Nix says he would love to see how a community of all mutants where people have different powers and agenda would work. 

Nix says that the second season of the show sees these different parts debating about how they will deal with the humans. In The Gifted Season 3, he wants to explore the mutants as they take positions and learn how to deal with everything. Nix reveals that he also wants to take on the moral aspect. The mutants have special powers, so, do they owe it to society and other people or just use the power for themselves? 

The first season introduced viewers with the conflict between Sentinel Services and Mutant Underground. The second season widened the field by concentrating on Inner Circle’s effort to create an all mutant homeland. After Inner Circle’s defeat, the heroes started planning to build a new Mutant Underground. However, then Blink’s portal introduces either a dark future or maybe a darker alternate reality. 

Why Did Fox Cancel The Show? Could It Be Renewed? 

After two highly-rated seasons, Fox has canceled The Gifted season 3. Critics very well received the show. The show bagged 74% and 85% Rotten Tomatoes for the first and second seasons, respectively. However, Fox revealed that the show was a soft performer in terms of linear ratings. The second season could only engage 1.1 average adults in the 18-49 age group. It had around 2.0 million viewers, which was low when compared to the first season, which had 3.3 million viewers.

Coming to revival, yes, there are fair chances for The Gifted Season 3 to find a new home. The production company for The Gifted is Marvel Television, which now has a series on Disney’s Freeform and Hulu. Now that Fox does not have ownership of the series, it is in Disney’s hands to either revive the show or not. Being optimistic, we can hope Disney would renew The Gifted Season 3 sooner or later.
