All the fans of Hulu’s drama, The Handmaid’s Tale have been dying for The Handmaid’s Tale Season 4. The third season of the show left everyone with a big cliffhanger. The third season left June in desperate needs. She was bleeding from a gunshot wound after she revolted along with Marthas and Handmaids. It was a huge and risky thing to do, but she got 100 children out of Gilead and sent them to Canada into a safe place. The Handmaid’s Tale Season 4: Release Date Delayed! 

We know Handmaid’s Tale season 4 is coming, but we don’t know when. Everybody was hoping that the show would release sooner, but it looks like the ongoing pandemic has really pushed back the show. The Handmaid’s Tale Season 4 is now pushed back to 2021. 

The team started production earlier this year with an expectation for season 4 to released this fall, but everything stopped because of the COVID-19 pandemic. A report by TheWrap reveals that Hulu has told all advertisers that the fourth season is delayed until 2021. Nobody knows when the productions would resume. 

The Handmaid’s Tale’s director and lead star Elisabeth Moss revealed that they were only into productions for two weeks when they had to stop. They did not get a lot to complete the shoot. She also said that they wouldn’t get back to shooting until the environment is safe. They want to get back to work because everybody in the crew has families they need to support, but no human’s life is worth a TV show, she added. They are also trying to figure out a safe way to resume productions. 

What Will Happen In Season 4?

In the fourth season, June is probably alive. Although Miller has not confirmed whether she will survive her gunshot wound or not, he says that they are following June. She lives in Gilead, and it is not a beautiful place. It will not be a nice place. Miller says that they are trying to be realistic about what could have happened and how things would have gone. The showrunner reveals that they spoke to the U.N. about it to know what happens to rebels in such countries. So, they are still rummaging through the possibilities. If they are looking at the aftermath of June’s action, we can assume that she will be alive and face the consequences. 

Talking about Gilead, the place will start becoming unstable. Well, it has never been stable in the first place. Viewers will continue to see the effects of power and mass exodus of children. It is the kind of thing they are taking into account very seriously. The reason for existence is reproduction. Now when they have started taking away the children, that would make Gilead very angry indeed. 

Are The Creators Deviating From Original Novel?

In an interview with Hollywood Reporter, Showrunner Bruce Miller spoke that he sees a world beyond the current world. He would watch an episode about the Nuremberg trials post Gilead’s fall. There are a lot of things that can make you think about how everything has changed a lot. He added that they still want the show to follow the source material. Miller also reveals that their arc is very much the same as the novel’s arc. It is an arc of a woman’s experience in Gilead at the time. It’s her recollection that paints a picture of what the world would be like in that time, which still in the book. 

The showrunner revealed that they are sticking to the novel. It will take time to cover the territory book covered very quickly. With Margaret Atwood’s new follow-up book Testaments out, creators have more sources to use. Testaments pick up roughly after 15 years from the events of the first book. The sequel is based on testimonies of three characters from the original book. These characters include Aunt Lydia, and two teenage girls called Daisy and Agatha. June isn’t much in the sequel.

As per new book, June has escaped Gilead after she survived many assassination attempts and now is somewhere in Canada. Gilead’s regime hasn’t come to an end, but it has got weaker. The resistance has grown stronger. It isn’t clear if Testaments would anyhow be a part of Handmaid’s Tale Season 4. We will know that with time. In the meantime, you stay tuned with us. Lucifer is an American urban fantasy TV series. Tom Kapinos developed this show for Fox, which is an adaptation of the DC comic character. It made its debut on January 25, 2016. Fox canceled the series after its third season, which caused a backlash from the fans. Netflix then picked up the show for its fourth season. After getting an enormous response, the streaming giant gave it the green light for the sixth season. 

Lucifer Season 6: Renewal Status!

This is the third time for Lucifer when the creators announced any installment of the series to be the final season of it. Fox announced that they would end the show with its third season. Then Netflix picked up the series and announced the fifth season to be it’s last. Now, the creators change their minds once again and give the green light to Lucifer Season 6, and also announced that it would serve as the concluding installment for the series. 

Netflix was teasing the sixth season for a long time. The creators also hinted about it while releasing the teaser for the fifth season. The tweet which posted the teaser reads, “We know you can’t wait for Lucifer season five, so here’s a devilish ‘66.6’ second to keep you sinful.” And, now the new post which announced the final season also contained the number 666. Therefore, we can say that the creators have made up their minds long before officially announcing Lucifer Season 6.

What To Expect?

The fourth season of the show ended with a massive cliffhanger last year. And now, according to the show stars and writers, the fifth season will not hold anything back and going to be the biggest season of the show. Chloe learned Lucifer’s true identity and confessed her love for him. But after that, he returned back to hell. The teaser shows a glimpse of his sensual pleasures. And further, it was also revealed that he is back in a relationship with Chloe. The writers of the show also teased that they have some crazy ideas for the show.

One of the series stars, Lesley-Ann Brandt, also teased about an episode of Lucifer Season 5. She said, “I get my one, BIG, classic, Mazikeen action scene. One where I get to tell you all what I’m capable of. One everyone will cherish. I’m prepping physically. A scene I shot on this season of the series ‘was the final show to make me cry.’ It was irresistible at times. It was just so amazingly hard to do, and I know it’s one to watch once we air.”

Lucifer Season 5: Release Date

The most anticipated series of this year on Netflix will finally premiere in a few weeks. However, this time, the show will come in two parts. The first part consisting of eight episodes will premiere on August 21, 2020, on the streaming giant. Whereas the second half of Lucifer Season 5 will release after an undefined time.

Zendaya, who played Rue’s character is excited to start filming of Euphoria Season 2. In an interview, she spoke about her journey from Disney Channel to Euphoria’s lead and producer. Earlier, filming was scheduled to start in March. But, due to the current health crisis, production is on hold. However, scripting is completed, and soon all the cast and crew would return with their work. But, currently, fans have to wait for a little more.

Euphoria, created by Sam Levinson, is a youth drama series of HBO. The series is based on Israeli show of the same name. It focused a group of high school students and their struggle. Throughout their high school journey, the group experienced many issues related to sex, drugs, love, and friendship. The series mainly focused on Rue Bennett (Zendaya), who’s diagnosed with OCD, ADD, anxiety, and bipolar disorder. Now, struggling to find a place for her in the world. During her struggle, she met with Jules, an exciting, eclectic new girl in the town. However, in the end, they both get separated that left Rue all teary and in depression.

Zendaya as Rue, gained immense love from the audience and critics. Recently, in an interview, Zendaya expressed her excitement to return to play her character in Euphoria Season 2. She said: “We were supposed to return to work. I think, on March 16. And, three or four days before that, the production halted. I was like, ‘I was so close.’ We did camera tests and hair and makeup tests, and we got to see everybody, and we had the sets built.”

She added: “I mean the scripts were written and I was just so excited. To go back home is indeed what it feels like.” She explained how lucky she was that she’s safe. She continued: “But of course, this has all happened, and I’m just grateful that I’m in the position I’m in. I can’t complain. I’m fortunate to be safe and healthy and still know that I have a job, ‘Euphoria,’ that will be there.”

Zendaya’s Sentiments With Her Character

Zendaya said Rue’s a different character, unlike her, so it was a little fun and challenging to play. She added: “Rue is very different from me, but there’s something that seems like home. Something that feels stepping into shoes that you someway already have worn before.” Zendaya revealed that despite those challenges, she loves her character a lot. Zendaya continued: “I just felt like I was falling into her a lot. I’m sure you can connect. But that feeling of when a figure feels like they’re your best friend or your sister. I care for Rue as if she’s someone important in my life. And I want her to be ok.”

Being A Producer Is A Dream

The star, told herself in an interview, that it was her childhood dream to work off-screen and manage everything. Zendaya said that she wanted the entitled of a producer when she was younger because she wished to learn what it felt like to do all those stuff behind the scenes. The more she’s able to do the behind-the-scenes stuff, the more voices she can uplift that aren’t necessarily mine, the star added.

Amazon finally released the most-awaited trailer of Absentia Season 3 along with its release date. There has been much speculation about the return of the popular Netflix Original Anime, Saiki K. Fans have been asking for Saiki K Season 4 for long now. Fortunately, chances for its renewal are pretty likely. In fact, the sequel might only take a few months to be back on the screens. When will it arrive? What will happen next? J.C. Staff’s The Disastrous Life Of Saiki K debuted in Japan back in July 2016. It’s the anime adaptation of a manga series (with the same name) and is illustrated by Shūichi Asō. The 120-episode first season of the show ran for quite long as compared to most animes in recent times. Similarly, the 2018 sequel of the series was massive too. Fans grew attached to the show due to its long run. Thus it is still acknowledged by millions of people around the globe.

In 2019, Netflix announced that they’d be producing an original series continuing the 2016 anime. The ONA (Original Net Animation), called The Disastrous Life Of Saiki K: Reawakened, received much love upon release from the international audience. However, this installment only consisted of 6 episodes released altogether on December 30, 2019. Fans were disappointed with the quantity of the episodes, yet they were pretty impressed with its quality and refreshing setting of the series. The Reawakened installment is called the third season. Hence, fans are now waiting for Saiki K Season 4.

Whereas, most of the remaining source material was consumed by The Disastrous Life Of Saiki K: Reawakened.

Hence, Netflix barely has any content for Saiki K Season 4. However, the streamer has previously developed original content for some of its successful shows, and Saiki K might join the list. On the other hand, there’s still hope that the mangaka, Shūichi Asō, resumes writing his brilliant piece of work anytime soon. If that happens, the platform would have to wait for the release of enough manga volumes.

The story of the anime revolves around Legoshi, a large grey wolf, who is a student at the Cherryton Academy. AMC has revealed this year’s schedule for San Diego Comic-Con virtual event, Comic-Con@Home. So, without any fear, everyone can join the event now.

Fear The Walking Dead, created by Dave Erickson and Robert Kirkman is a post-prophetic horror drama series on AMC. It’s a prequel and companion series to The Walking Dead. The series based on Charlie Adlard, Tony Moore, and Robert Kirkman’s comic book series of the same name. It initially set in Los Angeles, then California, and later in Mexico.

The series followed a socially impaired combined family of Madison Clark, a high school guidance counselor, her fiancé Travis Manawa, an English teacher, her daughter Alicia, and her drug addict son Nick. Later the group joined by Manawa’s son from his former marriage Chris, and his former wife, Liza Ortiz. And then, others also joined their group during the outbreak of the havoc. Now, they are learning survival skills, so that they could survive in such a situation.

Season 6 Joining The Comic-Con@Home

Yesterday, AMC announced that it’s joining San Diego virtual Comic-Con event. Fortunately, The Walking Dead universe save their slot in this virtual event, with its franchise’s original series The Walking Dead, Fear The Walking Dead, and latest series The Walking Dead: World Beyond. They all are ready to participate in the grand SDCC’s first virtual event.

Fear The Walking Dead will represent a panel for its upcoming sixth season that would premiere later this year. The panel will be moderated by Hardwick featuring Gimple, along with the executive producers and showrunners Ian Goldberg and Andrew Chambliss. The panel will also have cast members, including Alycia Debnam-Carey, Lennie James, and Colman Domingo. And also with Ruben Blades, Danay Garcia, Jenna Elfman, and Karen David will be there.

Fear The Walking Dead Season 6: Lennie Discussed Details

Lennie James, who played Morgan’s character, told Digital Spy that there’s no official date scheduled to start filming. James said: “We have no official restart time. But everything is still moving. If we will return. AMC, the network in charge of the show, is in discussion with experts. To find the safest and the best way. And the most practical way. For not just restarting, but restarting safely. And finding a way to remain safe.”

James said that it’s impossible to maintain social distancing (well, you know the series theme). He added: “The specifics of our show mean that we have a slightly different concept. About how we could incorporate, you know social distancing. It’s not possible. Certainly, as far as in front of the camera is concerned.”

Amazon’s fantasy drama, Carnival row is out with the first season. The show was a huge hit. Also, Carnival Row Season 2 is coming. But when? Carnival Row Season 2: Plot Details

The first season of the fantasy drama took on two major plotlines. First was the Darlasher Killings that Philo was investigating. The second was the mystery regarding Philo’s origin. The Philo’s mystery turned out to have some connection with Piety Breakspear and the murders. Later on, everyone also came to know that Chancellor Absalom Breakspear is Philo’s father. The half-fae and half-human creature Philo is torn between the two words. He has to hide his true nature to survive. 

Later, when Jonah Breakspear takes Philo’s father’s place as the new Chancellor, he declares war on all the nonhumans. So many Carnival Row residents are in what was called the concentration camp in the Burgue. Then Philo comes to know about Vignette being on the other side of the barricade. He declares that he is a critch and joins Vignetter and all the other fae in Carnival Row. 

Coming to Carnival Row Season 2, viewers might witness fae’s fight for liberation in the second season of the series. They will fight against Jonah Breakspear and Sophie Longerbane’s new community. In the meantime, the star crossed lovers Agreus Astrayon and Imogen Spurnose will find themselves running with Imogen’s brother Ezra. Amidst the violent altercation, they will have to deal with the aftermath of what happens after the war, the new community and fae are on. It will be exciting how the show retains all the criminal mystery elements with the whole uproar. Carnival Row season 2 will indeed introduce a new case for Vignetter and Philo to solve. 

The Cast and Crew Shakeups

We expect Orlando Bloom and Cara Delevingne to come back to lead Carnival Row season 2. David Gyasi and Tamzin Merchant are expected to come back in increased capacity for the second installment. They portray Argus and Imogen, respectively. Keeping in mind the finale of the first installment- Arty Froushan and Caroline might be coming in bigger roles for the second season. We can expect new faces to join the cast too. 

There are not many shake-ups on screen, but a lot behind it. In October 2019, Travis Beacham, the showrunner, walked out of the show due to creative differences. Carnival row adopted on a script by Beacham. So, him not being on board can cause series changes for the installment. Along with Beacham, Marc Guggenheim will have stepped back from being the showrunner. Erik Oleson has replaced Guggenheim for Carnival Row Season 2. 

Renewal & Release Date

Amazon renewed Carnival Row Season 2 even before they released the first season. The production company has been trying to create its own library of original content since 2013. Carnival Row is the first fantasy series in it. The show was renewed in July 2019. Then in November 2019, the creators announced that the production for Carnival Row Season 2 had already commenced. The show was expected to release sometime in August 2020. But now, keeping in mind the crew shake-ups and the ongoing global pandemic, we can expect some delay. Fans can hope for the show to hit the screens either later in 2020 or the first half of 2021.

She even revealed that she and Un, who plays Mrs. Hudson discussed it and concluded that they would love to do their characters all over again. So, if a fifth season happens, we can expect the whole original cast to come back. Along with that, we can also expect some new faces to get on board.  

Freeman Reveals They Have Discussed The Show

In an interview, Freeman revealed that if they find a great pitch, they will sign up for the show. However, they are looking for something exceptional. If they find something exciting, they are all open to it. They wouldn’t come back with something quite good. Sherlock isn’t the kind of show. 

He revealed that they had some discussions. All of them, Mark, Steven, the writers and Benedict and Freeman himself. He says that if their schedules match and they come up with something good, Sherlock is happening.

Writer Bidwell talks about things they can pursue in Sherlock Season 5. He stated that in Sherlock Holmes’s books, a group of street kids is mentioned. They were the kids who used to help him find clues. So, they could pursue an arc where maybe Sherlock was a drug addict? And the kids were the ones who solved the cases? 

Bidwell also stated that Sherlock is his dream project. He has been pitching the idea for the past ten years. He even revealed that Netflix is quite supportive of their vision and are allowing them to be very ambitious with how they want to tell their stories. 

Renewal & Release Date Status

The network has not yet officially renewed the show. However, with all the hints that cast & crew are dropping, we can expect the show to return sooner or later. The latest installment released in 2017. It has been a long time, so fans are hoping the show comes back sooner.

Netflix surprised everyone by suddenly announcing the release date of the third season just after releasing the second. Reportedly, the creators completed the production in late 2019 way before the pandemic. Now the fans will witness the return of one of the craziest reality series with one of the craziest storylines. Selling Sunset Season 3 will release on August 7, 2020, on Netflix.
