A couple found a man who was shot twice in the chest at Central Park previously. Detectives Benard and Cosgrove reached the park and found a pen in the man’s jacket, leading them to a company. They met the company’s CEO, Nina Ellis, who confirmed that the man was Kyle Morrison, the company’s COO, and her fiance. While questioning Nina, the duo discovered some discrepancies in her bank statements.

The officers discovered that a man threatened Morrison several times. The company’s cancer screening test showed also positive and the man’s life was ruined because of it. Also, the team discovered that the company was aware of the flaws yet they chose not to warn their customers. The company’s former CTO, Derek Seaver tried to stonewall the Detectives as he had signed an NDA. Cosgrove was suspicious about Derek’s sudden exit from the company and suspected Nina.

Further, in Law & Order Season 21 Episode 3, the team got a tip about a man tossing a sun in a sewer near Seaver’s house. The detectives questioned Seaver, who revealed that the screening tests were flawed and Nina forged data for FDA approval. He told Morrison about it and tried to delay the IPO, after which Morrison ended up dead. The detectives arrested Nina after finding blood spatter on her coat at her house. Dixon submitted the evidence to the DA”s office.

Nina Tries To Portray Herself As A Victim

During the trial, Nina was portrayed by Prince as a wealthy white woman who killed her fiancee for greed. Nina was forbidden from leaving the country and the bail was set at $5 million. She made a public plea while Kyle’s father demanded justice for his son. Surprisingly, Nina changed her petition to the battered woman plea. She claimed to have been mentally, physically, and emotionally abused by Kyle. She said the only way out of the toxic relationship was to kill him. McCoy advised Prince to let Nina tell all the lies and then tear her apart to show her real side to the jury.

After Nina’s open lies at the witness stand, Prince attacked her with the data submitted to the FDA, which differed from Seaver’s records. Prince tried to establish that the tests were around 50% accurate. Nina continued with her lies and told the jury that Kyle broke her arm three months ago. It tuned out Nina injured herself playing polo on a horse. So, Price proved it as the jury found Nina guilty in Law & Order Season 21 Episode 3.

Rollins met with Bob and offered to work for him. Bob told her that he wanted to know what Kaplans were up to in exchange for increased pay. Rollins had to wave her gun to keep Bob from touching her. He hired Rollins and warned her not to betray him. The SVU team reopened a decades-old murder that Bob talked about. The detectives visited the dead man Ken’s house and met with his wife. Later, Bob revealed that Ken and his wife were involved in a scam. So, Rollins continued to work for Bob.

Velasco went undercover and acted as a hitman wanting to kill Bob. However, Bob knew that he was being watched as he pulled a gun on Velasco. The detectives arrested him soon after. But, Bob was granted bail, and he went to discuss the case on his show. Mitch showed up at the studio and pointed a gun at Bob. He felt that Mitch wouldn’t shoot him. The kid told that his brother Corey could be inside a trap door. Travis said that Theo left Vic when she needed him, and they ended up arguing. A little later, Theo apologized to Travis. Soon after, Corey fell through the ceiling.

Sullivan questioned Beckett’s decision to send them in without clearing the house. 

Andy, Vic, and her cousin Michelle ate takeout together. Andy told Vic that she slept with Beckett to make her feel better. But Vic said she would just take the abortion pill and tell Theo about it. Jack told Ben that Dean wanted him to be a better version of himself for Pru. So, Ben called Dr. Lewis for a session. Jack offered his sperm for Maya and Carina’s baby. Sullivan found a bottle of alcohol in Beckett’s drawer while he was asleep in Station 19 Season 5 Episode 10.
