Unfortuantely, a speeding car that came out of Lower Wacker Drive nearly hit her near the lake. The car went off the rails and went straight into the frozen lake. Upton ran to the lower level, called for backup, and jumped straight into the lake. She dived in the water and wedged open the car gates. She found a man in the passenger seat and a woman in the driver’s seat. Upton rescued the man, but the woman was stuck and could not come out.

Further, in Chicago PD Season 9 Episode 13, Upton swamped back up and went back for the woman. Till then, the car had completely submerged, and she could not find it. Upton thought of the woman she left behind in the ambulance. Scott treated the man at the hospital and found a gun on him. Upton took the weapon, and Scott suggested she get a check-up. Upton was hypothermic, but she managed to get out of the water quickly. Trudy came to the hospital and informed Upton that the woman’s body had been extracted.

Upton then talked to the woman’s husband, Frank, who came to the hospital with two kids. He revealed that her name was Lisa, and she went off to crop cash at the bank. Frank was shocked to know that a man was driving the car as she was supposed to be alone. Upton rushed to the station and found that the gun was unregistered. The team found footage that revealed that Lisa was attacked, harassed, and kidnapped by the attacker. Sadly, Upton saved a criminal, and innocent Lisa had to lose her life.

Upton Gives Her All To Find The Perpetrator

Unfortunately, the man ran from the hospital when Upton and Halstead showed up. Upton was frustrated and wanted to go after the criminal. But, Voight ordered her to take a breather. Some more footage revealed that the culprit had been staling Lisa for 6 months. He watched her for hours during the night of the incident before attacking her. The team showed Frank the picture of the criminal but he did not recognize him. Luckily, Lisa’s daughter had seen the man lurking around the school and waving at her.

Meanwhile, Upton found a bracelet at Frank’s home. They discovered that the perpetrator broke into their house and took trophies. Upton tracked the man named Blake Mullen down using the footage of his car from school. The team broke into his house with a warrant and found all kinds of trophies from over a dozen victims. They also found some fake IDs suggesting that Blake might have fled. Trudy talked to Upton about saving her father from getting robbed while Upton looked carefully at the evidence. She found out that Blake had been picking up his victims around the gym.

The team set a trap for Blake near the gym. Luckily, Blake showed up and spotted the police. Upton chased her as the two ended up wrestling for a gun. When Blake was about to shoot Upton, she shouted that she saved his life. The pause helped Upton to kick Blake in the pool. Eventually, she saved him from drowning as he was apprehended. The team celebrated Upton’s ten-year anniversary party in Chicago PD Season 9 Episode 13.

Halstead was stunned to know that Hammer was making another effort with her estranged husband after seeing a wedding ring. He treated a patient named Mrs. Hendricks, suffering from Alzheimer’s disease. Her stepdaughter Cindy was a nurse and asked for fast treatment. Halstead discussed the abnormalities of her diagnosis with Charles. Cindy was not fond of Charles talking to Mrs. Hendricks when she found out about his specialization. Charles found out that the doctor who diagnosed Mrs. Hendricks with the disease had died five years ago. It turned out Cindy convinced Mrs. Hendricks that she was losing her mind after Cindy was left out of her father’s will. Being a nurse, Cindy easily managed to forge the results and the police took her away.

Eventually, Halstead told Hammer that he understood her decision to be back with her husband. Scott apologized to Carmen for cheating on her in the past. Charles found out that Loni had feelings for him when he asked her why she stopped seeing Charles. Marcel saw Blake after Archer asked her on a date. Marcel asked if she would go out with him and the two kissed. Blake’s daughter saw the who incident and revealed that Marcel had gone out drinking with her before in Chicago Med Season 7 Episode 13.

Britanny’s dad tortured Craig and cut his thumb off. Then Craig took Britanny’s father to a deep freezer containing her body. The killer shot Craig in the knee when the team swarmed the cabin. Jesse talked the killer down and arrested Craig and Britanny’s dad. Jess then realized how grateful he was for his family.
