Gilmore Girls Season 9: It has been almost four years since fans last saw Gilmore Girls when they came back for a revival miniseries called Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life. After this revival series, all fans have started anticipating Gilmore Girls Season 9. Amy Sherman-Palladino and the cast came together at the ATX Television Festival back in 2015, and then Netflix announced the revival series a few months after that.

Upon the release, the show has got mixed reviews. This revival series ended with a cliff-hanger. This cliff-hanger had left the door open for many possibilities that the upcoming season could explore. What’s happening? Is the show coming? Here are all the details.

What’s The Renewal Status? 

As for now, Gilmore Girls haven’t officially received renewal. We do not have much information on whether if the ninth season of the comedy-drama is in the works. What we do know is, Sherman-Palladino, the creator of the show, right now has his hands full with his multi-year deal with Amazon for its much famous series- The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel. This could be one of the major reason why there hasn’t been much news about Gilmore girls Season 9. 

Some cast members of the show have been pretty outspoken about the revival making sense or not. However, that isn’t anything to fear about. The silver lining here is Sherman Palladino’s deal has a clause, and it allows her to come back with Gilmore Girls’ revival with the streaming giant Netflix.

Also, Lauren Graham and Alexis Bledel will be up for it if their characters have a sensible and solid storyline. Given that in the recent revival of the series- Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life, Rory gets pregnant, and the show ends, there is a lot of scope for more of the series. There are several questions that need to be addressed.  

Gilmore Girls Season 9: The Possible Storyline

One of the focus points of Gilmore Girls Season 9 will be Rory’s pregnancy. What would happen to it? Would she keep the baby? Who really is the baby’s father? Is it Logan or someone else? How would Rory parents the child? There are a number of questions circling that pregnancy storyline that fans want answers to. We can expect Gilmore Girls Season 9 to come bearing all of these answers.

The way the revival series ended, with the four words, it felt like Rory was following her mothers’ footsteps rather than making her own path. However, the story will not really end there. If Sherman-Palladino does comes back, she will get an opportunity to explore the storyline, and that might give Rory another future than what her mother had. 

2021 Release Date Possible

Given that Gilmore Girls Season 9 has not even been renewed yet, it is a bit difficult to predict when the season could release. What we do know is that the season will not release anytime soon. One of the main reasons for this is to co-ordinate the casts’ schedule. Alexis Bledel is right now busy with Hulu’s show- The Handmaid’s tale. Milo Ventimiglia and Melissa McCarthy are also busy with other projects right now.

However, all of these issues will be quite dependent on the format the creators choose to follow for Gilmore Girls Season 9. They could either choose to bring another set of all 90-minutes episodes following various seasons or bring the 22-episode run.

Until now, all the Gilmore Girls’ seasons have been released in either fall or winter. So, we can place our best bets for October 2021, for Gilmore Girls Season 9 release. Animal Kingdom Season 5: Renewal Status and Production Details

Animal Kingdom Season 5 has received renewal back in July 2019. Ever since then, fans have been looking forward to the release. Many fans had expected to see Animal Kingdom Season 5 in May 2020. The lockdown imposed had shut down all productions, and hence the creators could not move forward with the fifth season. We can expect all the cast members from the fourth season to return for Animal Kingdom season 5. As for Metacritic, the series has been able to bag 65 out of 100 scores. All this indicates that the show has had generally favorable reviews.

The first season of the show became very popular amongst all the fans worldwide. Ever since the first season concluded, fans have been looking forward to ‘Moon Lover: Scarlet Heart Ryeo’ Season 2. Is It Happening?

‘Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo’ Season 1 released back in August 2016 on SBS. Ever since this release, the creators have not announced anything about ‘Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo’ Season 2. However, in an interview, actor Lee Joon-gi hinted about him returning to the show with the co-star Lee Ji-Eun, but then that wasn’t followed up, and as of now, we do not have any idea of what could be happening to ‘Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo’ Season 2. 

The initial season of the show concluded in November of the same year. The show has received criticism regarding the performance, direction, and screenplay. The show indeed had a high budget and ensemble cast, but it could not impress the critics. However, it looks like the fans have loved this show despite all of the criticism.

Despite not being able to impress the critics, fans want to see more of it. All the fans of the K-drama have filed a petition to bring the show back. Until now, about 3884 fans have signed the petition. Fans of the show think that Scarlet Heart Ryeo ended on a cliffhanger, and it has left a number of fans heartbroken. All fans desperately want to know what would happen to Wang Soo and Hae Soon after the way the first season ended. Who Could Come Back for ‘Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo’ Season 2? 

‘Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo’ Season 1 tells the tale of twenty-five-year-old Go Ha-Jin, who somehow transported back in the time to the Goryeo Dynasty. She later on, wakes up in Lady Hae Soo’s body and finds herself in the ruling princes of the Wang Family. However, then Hae Soo is in love with some other princes. Although being in the place she is, she finds herself being a part of the politics and the war for the throne. 

There are a number of plotlines on the show that submerged into each other. However, the show has been successful in establishing that the palace Hae Soo is in is a dangerous place. There are all sorts of things happening there, including betrayal and murder. It was the kind of place that Hae Soo wanted to leave in order to survive. But for the princes, the only way to survive is either kill or be killed. So, as we move forward in the story, there are many Princes that take the throne as kings. Fans get to see how every prince is ready to do anything in order to get the throne. 

Scarlet Heart Ryeo does not have a very smooth plotline. There are a number of leaps. These leaps are mostly off-screen that leaves fans wondering what really happened there. With that said, all this has left many questions that fans need to answer for.

As for now, it has been four years since the show released, and there has been absolutely no word about if there will be a ‘Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo’ Season 2. After this release, the show became one of the highest rated Korean dramas of all time. The show received great reviews and acclaim. Soon after coming on tvN, the show released on Netflix for the global audience. The show was praised worldwide.

Directed by Ahn Gil-Ho, the show has bagged a whopping 7.8/10 rating, which is a great rating. After the first season released, fans of the show have been looking forward to ‘Memories of the Alhambra Season 2’. Memories of The Alhambra Season 2: What Could Happen?

The first season of ‘Memories of the Alhambra’ is the story of Yoo Jin Woo and Jung Hee Joo. Jin Woo is a strong and determined CEO of an investment company that works with optical devices. He also has an interest in developing video games. Down the line, when Jin-Woo gets a strange call from a programmer about an augmented reality game, he travels to Spain to bid on the game. However, when he reaches there, the maker has vanished. However, he meets Jung Hee Joo there. She is a guitarist and came to Spain to pursue her education. 

As both of them meet, the real story of ‘Memories of Alhambra’ starts. There are a number of twists and turns there. Woo begins playing the game himself using a contact lens and gets into the virtual world. He battles with many powerful warriors there and even dies many times. He is revived a number of times on the show.

With every revival, his sword-fighting skills start getting sharper, and in the end, he defeats the villain and gets to the next level. On the other hand, the romance between Jin Woo and Hee Joo starts blooming. The ‘Memories of the Alhambra Season 2’ will further expand the story as Yoo Jin Woo fights off the antagonist while also moving forward in his life with Jung Hee Joo.

Cast For The Second Season

Fans can expect the whole cast of the first season to come back for the second season. This includes Hyun Bin as Yoo Jin-Woo. Park Shin-Hye could also be coming back to play the role of Jung Hee-Joo. Disjointed Season 3: Created by David Javerbaum and Chuck Lorre, Netflix brought in the multicamera American comedy called Disjointed. The first season of the show was released in 2017, followed by the second season in 2019. Disjointed features Kathy Bates. Bates plays the role of a life-long advocate who is trying to get marijuana legalized. Ever since the second season was released, there has been a major question of what would happen to Disjointed Season 3. What’s really happening? Here is all we know about it- 

Who is on the show? 

Warner Bros are the producers of the show. Chuck Lorre acts as the executive producer of the show. Lorre has been a part of a number of famous comedies, including Young Sheldon and Big Bang Theory. On the screen is Kathy Bates, who is the protagonist of the show- Ruth Whitefeather Feldman. Bates is a two-time Emmy winner. Ruth, Bates’ character, is an advocate who is trying hard to get marijuana legalized.

While she tries to get this done, she thankfully is supported by a number of people around her. These supporters include her son, a security guard, and a budtender. Playing these roles are Aaron Moten, who plays Travis Feldman, Ruth’s son. Tone Bell takes up the role of Carter, the security guard. Joining them is Elizabeth Alderger plays the role of a budtender. Other cast members include Nicole Sullivan, Michael Trucco, Peter Riegert, among many faces. 

What Is The Show About? 

The show follows Ruth Whitefeather Feldman, who has finally found a way to live her dream. Ruth is an advocate and finds a new purpose in her life. She wants to start a medical marijuana dispensary in Los Angeles. On her journey to open this dispensary, Ruth has to face a number of difficulties. However, with the support of a number of people, she finally opens up that dispensary. This road does not get any easier for her. She keeps facing one problem after the other. Her problems only increase when a web-show host Dabby and Dank add more to her plate. Things get even worse when Ruth mistakenly sells cannabis to minors. 

Disjointed Season 3: Is It Happening?

The comedy series has tried to opt for the same trick that has been used in the book. This method has indeed made a few scenes on the show a bit annoying. The only thing that seemed to save the show was Kathy Bates’ popularity. If not that, it would have been very difficult for the show to survive.

As for the critics’ radar, Disjointed hasn’t been able to impress the critics. The show was only able to bag about 19% Rotten Tomatoes for both seasons. The show hasn’t been able to receive great viewership. Netflix also canceled the comedy series. This news does come as sad one for all the Disjointed fans. However, Chuck Lorre continues to spread his magic with his show- The Kominsky Method. So, all fans can really move on to that show. 

Santa Clarita Diet Season 4: Created by Victor Fresco, Santa Clarita Diet is an American horror-comedy that first released in 2017 on Netflix. The show stars Timothy Olyphant and Drew Barrymore in the lead roles. Three seasons of the single-camera series are already out and everyone has been wondering what’s next?

Santa Clarita Diet follows Sheila and Joel Hammond who are suburban agents in Santa Clarita, California. The couple faces a sudden setback when Sheila undergoes a change and becomes undead. She starts craving human flesh. The family, along with Sheila have to go through a number of obstacles including neighbours, cultural norms while trying to solve this mystery. The third season of the show ended with a major cliffhanger.

It ended with a mystery surrounding Mr. Ball Legs and what would happen after Sheila sinks her teeth into Joel’s neck. These are the two big questions that have been haunting viewers. Will we get these answers in Santa Clarita Diet Season 4? Here is all we know-

Santa Clarita Diet Season 4: Is The Show Happening?

Unfortunately No! Netflix has cancelled the show after three seasons. So, we might never get to see Santa Clarita Diet Season 4. In an interview, the producer of the show- Tracy Katsky Boomer says that they are very sad about this cancellation. They loved making the show. In a statement, Victor Fresco and Boomer shared their disappointment too. They said that like the audience, they are also all-in about Sheila and Joel. Their relationship is incredible, funny and inspiring.

While showing how disappointed they were about it, both of them also praised Netflix for their initial support. Boomer and Fresco said that Netflix has taken a chance on this very odd show and they are very grateful for all the support, positivity and appreciation. The duo also said that they accept that all things end, and this show was also a thing and it ended.

Why Was The Show Cancelled?

Santa Clarita Diet Fans’ reaction was understandably aggressive. Fans were angry and obviously wanted answers for such an upsetting decision. While Netflix usually does not give away behind the scenes but this time there were certainly some clues out there on why was the show cancelled? At a conference, the head of original content, Cindy Holland discussed why they cancel the shows. She says that whether the show moves forward or gets cancelled is all dependent on whether if Netflix is getting as much as they are putting on the stake.

In the interview, Holland stated that usually decisions like these are a combination of things. When Netflix invests into something, they decide how much they want to invest based on how much audience would show up. If the audience does not show up, they think that they don’t have a reason to continue investing in the show. Critical claim is important but then they are also trying to stretch the investment to as far as they can do good for investor’s money.

Netflix does not usually release the viewership figures. So, we don’t really know what were the viewership numbers of Santa Clarita Diet. However, given that the show is cancelled, we can say that it was not enough. The third season of the show left viewers with a number of questions. Fans had hoped that Santa Clarita Diet Season 4 would come bearing the answers. However, now that will not be happening. Carnival Row Season 2: Amazon’s fantasy drama Carnival Row is coming back for the second season. Created by Travis Beacham and René Echevarria, the show moves forward in a Victorian fantasy world featuring many mythological immigrant creatures who once lived in an exotic homeland. Then humans invade their land. This sudden growth in population leads to struggles of co-existing under the given laws of humanity.

Carnival Row Season 2 received renewal in July 2019, and fans have been waiting for the show to release ever since. The show first started production in March 2020, but then everything was put on hold. However, now things are getting back on track. What’s happening with the show? Here is all we know- 

Carnival Row Season 2: Production Details

The Carnival Row Season 2 got into production back in November 2019. However, the pandemic happened, and the country was shut down. The shooting was suspended on March 12, when only two weeks of shooting were left. Now, months after, recent reports reveal that Carnival Row Season 2 has completed the filming. Variety recently reported that the Czech Republic had allowed all the international shoots from May 7, 2020. However, American shows did not start the production until the agreements between Hollywood and other unions were in place. 

David Minkowski, the producer from Stillking Films, says that Carnival Row Season 2 is the first global show that got back on its feet and completed filming. In his statement, Minkowski says that the film industry has suffered a lot because of the COVID-19. He appreciates that the Czech government made fast decisions and supported the film industry in restarting the production. The producer went on to say that Honestly, they had adopted strict health and safety measures even though the virus count in the city was quite low. This is good news that the show has completed the show. 

What Is Coming Up?

The first season of Carnival Row left fans with two major storylines; these are the storylines that could be explored in Carnival Row Season 2. The first storyline included the Darkasher killings, where Philo was investigating the mystery of Philo’s origins. This whole investigation turned out to be connected when everyone came to know that Piety Breakspear was responsible for all the killings and Chancellor Absalom Breakspear is Philo’s father.

Since Philo was a half-far, half-human, he found himself in a tough space. He found himself quite torn between the two worlds. He forcibly had to hide his real nature. Then Jonah Breakspear over-took his fathers’ place, and Chancellor declared war on the non-humans. Leading to all of this, all the Carnival Row inhabitants found themselves stuck in what they called concentration camp within the Burge. When Philo saw Vignette on the other side, Philo declared himself a critch and joined Vignette and his other faes in Carnival Row. 

As for Carnival Row Season 2, one can expect to see Fae’s fighting for their freedom from the new alliance created by Jonah Breakspear and Sophie Longerbane. In the meantime, we might also get to see the lovers Agreus Astrayon and Imogene Spurnrose as they find themselves on the run.

Ezra, on the other hand, will have to deal with all the after-effects of the ongoing war. It will be very interesting to see how the writers retain their crime mystery in the upcoming events. This war and all the events will indeed introduce a new case of Vignette and Philo as they move onto Carnival Row Season 2. 

When Would The Show Release?

The second season of the show was to release sometime in 2020. However, with the whole pandemic situation going on, it seemed less likely that the second season would release 2020. But now, since the team has successfully completed the production of the show, Carnival Row Season 2 can release in the first half of 2021. Daybreak follows a group of teen survivors who once went to Glendale High. They navigate through the world full of many zombies. While the series follows these teenagers, the focus of it remains on Josh, a 17-year-old teenager. He, along with some other teenagers, goes on an adventure to find his girlfriend Sam after a nuclear explosion that has wiped the humans. It has been more than a year since the first season released. Daybreak Season 2: Renewal Status

After the first season was released, all fans were quite excited for Daybreak Season 2. However, a few months after that, Netflix announced that the show was coming to an end. This news did come as a shock to many. Co-creator and executive producer Aron Eli Coleite took on to Twitter to reveal the news. Here is the tweet-

Everything That Could Have Happened- 

There were a number of storylines that could have been explored if we would have got Daybreak Season 2. There were many twists and turns throughout the first season that could have been explored in the coming season.

By the end of the show, Principle Burr was stopped, and the nuclear bomb was launched into space. It kind of looked like a happy ending. Then at the celebration party, Josh told Sam that he loved her, only for Sam to reject him. Josh is one of the very few people who were alive by the end and have not changed. Things became quite dark by the end when Sam declared herself the leader of the whole thing. What could have happened next? Here is all we know- 

Sam Becomes the Villain

Sam takes the jocks and all other factions in her control and becomes one of the strongest leaders Greendale had ever seen. The only factions who did not support Sam included Angelica, Josh, Turbo, and Wesley. It is still unclear what kind of leader would Sam turns out to be. Many characters like Josh were in favor of the idea of ‘Sam Dean,’ and she could have used it. Then she could have also become a Tyrannical dictator to control her own territory the way she wants to. The only person who can stand against her is Josh. 

Josh Becomes The Hero! 

While Sam becomes the villain, Daybreak Season 2 will need a hero. Josh will be the hero we are all waiting for. He is heartbroken and would become a reluctant hero. He was able to unite mall survivors into Daybreaks, and he also united all the remaining factions to take on the Jocks. Just like Sam, Josh has inspired many spirits who might have been affected by Sam’s action. 

The New Love Interest!

Sam and Josh are not together. In fact, they are at war. So, it is clear that Sam has no interest in Josh anymore. Josh is emotional, and he would take some time to move on. KJ could be a choice for Josh when he moves on from Sam. So, that could be Josh moving on. 

How Are The Fans Reacting?

Netflix canceling Daybreak after the first season came as a shock to a number of fans. Everyone felt that the streaming service should have given another chance to the show. Here is what the fans are saying.

Now that Netflix has canceled Daybreak, it seems very less likely that the show would ever return. However, there is a chance that some other channel picks the show up and bring it back to life. American Crime Story Season 3: Ryan Murphy is coming back with the third season of American Crime Story. The show has earlier tackled a number of major national issues, including the OJ Simpson trial and Gianni Versace’s murder in the initial two seasons.

The third season of the show is titled- Impeachment: American Crime Story. This season will tell the story of President Bill Clinton in his office in the late 90s. He had an affair with White House intern Monica Lewinsky. What’s more? Keep reading to find out all the details about what is coming up! 

Plans Have Changed

While all Crime Story fans are eagerly waiting for the American Crime Story Season 3, it looks like there has been a change in plans. American Crime Story isn’t moving forward with their pre-planned theme Katrina. Ryan Murphy, the creator of the show and FX, has now announced that the third season will be based on Impeachment. It will be based on Toobin Clinton’s book A Vast Conspiracy: The Real Story of the Sex Scandal That Nearly Brought Down a President. The show will focus on Bill Clinton and Monica Lewinsky’s relationship and the impeachment proceedings after that. 

In an interview talking about their theme- Katrina, Ryan Murphy said that they tried to develop that theme. However, it was very expensive and vast in terms of scope. So, they could not figure out how to use it. In the interview, Murphy says that he does not think they would do it anymore. They have a number of crime stories they are working on, and it was getting very hard. Each season of the show anyways takes two years to write. They never do things they are not absolutely sure of. Now they will be moving forward with this impeachment story. 

American Crime Story Season 3: Production Updates

The show was supposed to release in September 2020. It was a date two months before the presidential election. However, then the show was delayed. Initially, this shift was due to the production schedule. In a statement, Landgraf revealed that the show would not be complete by that time. It is a long production. At that time, Ryan was busy with Prom for Netflix, and all that was only delaying American Crime Story Season 3. Then COVID happened, and everything got delayed furthermore. Reports suggest that the show is all set to get into production in mid-October. Now we know that the show might release sometime in 2021. 

Who Is In The Cast? 

As for the cast of the show, we know Beanie Feldstein will play Monica Lewinsky in American Crime Story Season 3. Sarah Paulson will come in to play Linda Tripp. Linda Tripp is the woman who secretly taped Lewinsky’s confession. Annaleigh will come in to play Paula Jones. She had accused Clinton of sexual harassment in 1994. Clive Owen will come in as Bill Clinton. Accompanying him is Billy Eichner will be the conservative blogger Matt Drudge who was the first one to report this story. Betty Gilpin has been cast as Ann Coulter, the conservative political commentator. 

American Crime Story Season 3: Monica Lewinsky Is Coming In!

Monica Lewinsky, the intern who had an affair with Bill Clinton, will be the executive producer of the show. This scandal story has been told a number of times. But Lewinsky’s involvement has been shown in different perspectives. In a statement, Murphy says that he told Lewinsky that nobody should tell her story, but she herself. It would be gross if they did it for her. He asked her if she would like to produce it with him, then he would love it and she should be the producer. 

In an interview with VF, Lewinsky says that she was hesitant and a little scared to get on-board. But after a dinner meeting with Ryan, she understood that Ryan is giving his voice to marginalize in all of his work. She feels privileged to work with him and the whole team. Lewinsky went on to say that people have been opting and telling her part of the story for years, and it wasn’t very long ago that she got to reclaim the narrative. She is grateful for the growth society has made. It is allowing people like her to tell her story, who has been historically silenced to tell their side of the story. 

American Crime Story Season 3 looks very interesting. We might get to see new truths coming into light. We don’t know when the third season would release, but we are hoping for a 2021 release date. You stay tuned with us for all the news about the show.
