After Shin Cha-il and Han Soo discovered the mystery surrounding the illegal activities in JU Construction, they are now gearing up to resolve another mystery in The Auditors Episode 9. The previous episode ended on a bitter note, creating complications for the audit team rookie, Yoon Seo Jin. She has always been a subject of discussion, and after her images went viral, her reputation was on the edge of ruin. But will Shin Cha-il and the rest of the audit team help her? Let’s find out!
The Auditors Episode 9: Yoon Seo Jin In Trouble
The previous episode ended on an intense note when photos of Vice President Hwang Dae Woong and audit team member Yoon Seo Jin became public. While the episode ended on a sad note, The Auditors Episode 9 suggest things will turn more dramatic. The preview clip suggests that her fellow employees misunderstand it as an affair. That leads President Hwang Se Woong to order Shin Cha-il to investigate the matter.
He even discloses Seo Jin and Dae Woong’s relationship, revealing them as niece-uncle. As the situation intensifies, Cha-il makes things more challenging for Seo Jin. He grills the audit team’s rookie about whether she got into the company through the Vice President’s connection. This allegation angers Dae Woong, who lashes out at Cha-il.
However, the audit team leader reminds the Vice President in the upcoming episode that he needs to cooperate to clear the misunderstanding. While The Auditors Episode 9 suggests that the situation will intensify, Han Soo will work covertly to investigate the matter. He will soon discover the unknown source behind this leak. Meanwhile, Shin Cha-il will work on his way to discover the illegal hiring process in the company.
A Quick Recap!
Last week, in The Auditors Episodes 7 and 8, Han Soo suspected the Technology Development Team’s junior manager, Mr. Park, was illegally trying to leak the J-BIMS AI project on the dark web. However, his head, Shin Cha-il, seemed unbothered by the news. It was later revealed that Cha-il ordered Han Soo to work covertly on this investigation to gather evidence against Mr Park and the Technology Development Team’s head, Lee Ji Hoon.
Shin Cha-il suspected Lee Ji Hoon had some ulterior motive after the evidence that Han Soo collected suddenly vanished. However, as the investigation peaked, in The Auditors Kdrama Episode 8, Shin Cha-il uncovered Lee Ji Hoon’s true face. He revealed that the development team’s head planned to illegally sell the J-BIMS project for 50 billion won ($36.12 million).
While Lee Ji Hoon refuted the claims and expressed anger, Cha-il continued that the former uploaded the J-BIMS project on the company cloud servers. So it could be accessible to everyone. In desperation, Lee Ji Hoon gathered his bag and water sipper to flee. However, Cha-il stopped him and his accomplice. He even revealed that the sipper had a secret USB inside, shocking everyone.
Despite their attempts, Lee Ji Hoon destroyed all the evidence but was later arrested by the guards. The Auditors Episode 8 ended with the audit team rookie Yoon Seo Jin and Vice President Hwang Dae Woong making headlines of their secret affair.

Daily Dose of Sunshine is undoubtedly one of the best medical dramas of 2023. As soon as it debuted, it left fans wondering about the potential sequel, Daily Dose of Sunshine Season 2. Why not? The show deeply delved into the mental health and the issues surrounding it. There’s no denying that the show changed many people’s perspectives about mental health and the problems related to it. With such a gripping storyline, many wish to see their favorite stars back in action, navigating their lives in the Psychiatric Department. But will they return? Let’s find out!
Based on the Kakao webtoon, the K-drama focuses on the struggle of a third-year nurse, Jung Da-Eun, who navigates her life after being transferred to the Psychiatric Department. Despite the series’ setup being normal and pleasant, it explored the triggering mental health issues, spreading awareness about mental health. As the show progresses, it explores how things get terrifying for the series’ protagonist, Jung Da-eun, after working in the Psychiatric Department. Amid this, the K-drama also focuses on Jung Da-eun’s romantic life.
Daily Dose Of Sunshine Season 2 Renewable Status
At the time of writing, Netflix hasn’t yet renewed Daily Dose Of Sunshine Season 2. The series debuted in early November 2023 and received massive praise from fans and critics. It gained 100% positive ratings on Rotten Tomatoes and 8.3/10 on IMDb. In addition, the show also received the Blue Dragon Series Awards 2024 for Best Drama, and Park Bo Young (who played Da Eun) was honored with the Blue Dragon Best Actress award and Actress of the Year in Cine21 Awards 2023. This is enough to justify that the series performed incredibly well.
There’s no denying that the series beautifully portrayed the struggle related to mental health and how it can affect one’s life. Despite receiving such a huge appreciation, Netflix hasn’t yet renewed the series. Typically, the streaming giant takes a couple of months to announce its decision. However, it’s been almost eight months (as of July 2024), and the streaming giant has yet to make any announcement. But wait! The series hasn’t been canceled yet. Thus, there’s a chance that the show might return.
Netflix Might Consider Daily Dose Of Sunshine Ratings
Although the series hasn’t been renewed yet, it did incredibly well on Netflix. Initially, it struggled to join Netflix’s Top Ten list. However, just after a week, the show secured its place in the Global Top Ten. Daily Dose Of Sunshine remained on the charts for two weeks in 28 countries, including Brazil, Bolivia, Hong Kong, Chile, Mexico, and many more. Despite that, the series failed to remain in the top ten longer. That’s because other popular K-dramas like My Demon, Squid Game, Castaway Diva, and Strong Girl Nam Soon were ruling the charts back then.
This further complicated the Daily Dose of Sunshine. The series also failed to create fandom in territories like the US and the UK, which will gravely affect the series’ future. But wait! Netflix not only considers the global chart but also focuses on the series popularity vs. cost chart. Since the show received huge popularity and is cost-effective, there’s a chance that the streaming giant might consider returning with Daily Dose of Sunshine Season 2. But it has yet to be revealed.
Is There Enough Source Material?
As mentioned above, the series is based on the Kakao webtoon of the same name. Although there is no information about the Webtoon, it has been concluded. Surprisingly, the K-drama has already covered all the chapters of its source material. This means there’s a scarcity of the source material, which might affect the future of the series. So, if Daily Dose Of Sunshine Season 2 returns, the series will delve into its original material. There’s no denying that the writers can come up with brilliant work. However, it sounds unnecessary.
The series has already explored mental health issues and all their possible angles. Thus, returning with the same storyline might sound boring. The audience has already dealt with mental struggle, and they have had enough of it, and stretching the storyline will only make things dramatic. Further, the series is based on the real-life experience of Webtoon’s author, Lee Ra Ha. So, if Netflix returns with Daily Dose Of Sunshine Season 2, it won’t give justice to Ra Ha’s story, which has already come to its natural conclusion. This further hinders the chance of the second season.
Do We Need A Daily Dose Of Sunshine Season 2?
Well, the first season of Daily Dose Of Sunshine has already covered each character’s story arc. In the season finale, Da Eun’s faced another challenging situation. After learning she was a patient in the same ward and also had a mental breakdown, the patients’ families protested against her return. They didn’t want her to join her duties in the Psychiatric Department. However, her colleagues helped her and convinced the families that Da Eun’s experience and struggle could help others in their healing phase. This undoubtedly helped them, and the protestors eventually backed off their words.
After her return, Da Eun helped Byeong-Hui. She had a history of depression. However, with the nurse’s help, Byeong Hui not only recovered but also returned to her dream job. As for Da Eun’s romantic life, she finally reunited with Go Yun. They got together, and things started developing on the romantic front in their life. Amid this, the finale also focused on another character’s growth. Yu Chan, who struggled with panic disorder, finally got healed. He generally suffered with workloads as his colleagues took advantage of him by dumping their work on him.
However, in the end, he’d finally spoken to his superior and quit his toxic job. Fortunately, his superior supported him with this decision, creating a better place for Yu Chan. Meanwhile, the nurse, Min Deul-Re, freed herself from her abusive mother. She always took advantage of Deul-Re. But the nurse finally cut ties with her toxic mother, cleared her debt, and eventually returned to her work. Since the show has already concluded things positively, there’s no need for Daily Dose Of Sunshine Season 2. But if Netflix decides to return, we will update you. Stay tuned. TechRadar247 will keep you updated.
After a splendid first season of My Demon, fans wish to see their favorite characters, Do Do-Hee (Kim Yoo-Jung) and Jeong Gu-Won (Song Kang), back. There’s no denying the ending was epic. But a question that keeps buzzing in many’s heads: Is there a My Demon Season 2? The show did remarkable work in capturing the audience’s attention, and Song Kang’s performance was just the cherry on top. However, it already has its proper beginning, middle, and end. Despite that, many clamor to see more of My Demon. Will Netflix fulfill their wish? Here’s everything that we know about the Season 2 of My Demon. So, keep reading!
For a glance, My Demon is written by Choi Ah-il and directed by Kwon Da-som and Kim Jang-Han. The K-drama focuses on Do-Hee and Gu-Won’s journey. After Gu-Won, a demon, temporarily loses his power, he fails to return to his world. Despite facing challenges, he enters a contract marriage with Do-Hee. However, as the pair went through ups and downs together, they decided to work on their relationship. Gu-Won also helped Do-Hee deal with her estranged family amid the power battle.
My Demon Season 2: Is It Renewed Yet?
My Demon debuted with a bang, creating an uproar in the Korean entertainment industry. The first season garnered a positive response from its audience. While the ratings surpassed many popular K-dramas back then, it’s been months since Netflix commented on My Demon Season 2. The streaming platform generally renews the show in a couple of months. But this isn’t the case with Song Kang’s popular series.
We can’t blame the streaming platform that’s because K-drama typically runs for only one season. However, things are changing, creating hope in the series’ fans. The pilot episode gained 4.5% ratings nationwide, which boosted the eighth episode, earning 4.7% ratings. However, on average, the K-drama only gathered 3.9% positive ratings nationwide.
This further left many to believe that Netflix might reconsider its decision to return with another season. But wait! Just after its debut, My Demon ruled the Netflix Global Top Ten chart. It remained in the top ten for 11 weeks in 66 countries, further marking the success of the series. Despite that, the streaming platform hasn’t commented on the series’ fate. In addition, My Demon is billed as a limited series, hinting there’s less chance of My Demon Season 2.
Is There Going To Be A Season 2 Of My Demon?
As we said earlier, My Demon is billed as a limited series. That means the series was envisioned for one season only. However, this can be changed. Many such series have returned for another season despite being billed as limited ones. Considering this, there’s hope for Season 2. On the other hand, Netflix hasn’t canceled the series yet nor revealed the show’s status, further creating a faint hope in the dark.
However, fans must wait to see their favorite characters back on screen if this is the case. That’s because Song Kang’s upcoming military enrollment might affect the decision to renew. As for South Korean rules and regulations, Song Kang has to serve his upcoming years in the military, which might lead to a hold on his future projects, including My Demon. So, if Netflix or SBS TV are looking for My Demon Season 2, they have to wait until the actor returns.
My Demon Ending Explained
In the finale, Gu-Won suddenly disappears, leaving Do-Hee to wonder if she lost him forever. However, that wasn’t the case. He returned after making a deal with God. While Gu-Won had plenty of things to wonder about, Do-Hee dreamt of her past life. There, she saw a dream of herself as Wol Shim and Gu-Won as Seo Yi Sun. It revealed they knew each other from their past life and had a history of being together. Yi Sun saved Wol Shim after she tried to take her life. This further left Do-Hee distressed after realizing that things were pretty confusing and that she needed to better deal with the past to understand her future with Gu-Won.
Back to the present, Do-Hee discovered that Ju Cheon-Suk knew about Gu-Won’s contract with her father. She had many questions regarding this, but she wouldn’t get a hold of Gu-Won despite her efforts. Elsewhere, the demon confronted Kim Se-Ra and encouraged her to speak up against her husband, Noh Suk-Min. She had already lost Noh Do-Gyeong and didn’t want to lose anyone else. So, Se-Ra decided to confess the truth. Her statement later led to Suk-Min’s arrest.
Meanwhile, Do-Hee learned that Gu-Won made a contract with her father when she wasn’t born. Her mother was in labor, so her father asked the demon to save his wife and the kid’s lives. Despite this, the couple harbored true feelings for each other, which led to their romantic reunion. My Demon ended on a happy note when Gu-Won returned to deal with evil people, and Do-Hee became the CEO of Mirae F&B. They were happy together and lived a normal married life despite the distance.
Does The Story Hint At My Demon Season 2?
The show ended on a positive arc, answering all the tricky questions. It has already been revealed that Do-Hee and Gu-Won live happy married lives. Their life has returned to track, and their love is getting stronger day by day. As for Do-Hee’s parents, the ending has already revealed that she learned about her parent’s death, and Gu-Won has nothing to do with that. The chairman of Mirae F&B was responsible, and Do-Hee decided to forgive everyone. Thus, there are no loose ends that need to be explored in My Demon Season 2.
This further suggests that the chances of a sequel are less than expected. If SBS TV or Netflix returns with another season, they have to return with another jolting storyline, which can keep the audience on their toes. However, an unnecessary extension of the story arc might create problems and ultimately drop the series’ ratings.
My Demon Season 2 Release Date
As we have already mentioned, My Demon hasn’t yet been renewed for a second season. The chances of it getting another season are quite low because of Song Kang’s upcoming military enrollment. So, if the show ever returns with another season, it might return after four to five years. Thus, there’s less chance that Season 2 will ever return. Speaking of My Demon Season 2 release date, we can expect it to air sometime in 2030. This is all for now. Stay with TechRadar247 for more such updates.
Now that the lunar flood is over, fans are curious to learn whether The Silent Sea Season 2 is on the horizon. The interesting finale of The Silent Sea revolves around Luna and her survival skills, and fans are on their toes to learn whether the rescue team will successfully return to Earth. No doubt, the cliffhanger was epic, stealing fans’ attention. But will we get Season 2 of The Silent Sea?
Netflix’s Korean sci-fi has been dormant for a few years, leaving fans concerned about the fate of the series. Although the show isn’t as highly popular as Hellbound, the demand for the new season is quite higher than one can think. So, let’s see whether we will get another season.
The series, written by Park Eun-Kyo, focuses on scientist Song Ji-An’s journey to discover the samples from the abandoned research facility on the Moon. She picks an elite personnel team, including Captain Han Yun-Jae and Lieutenant Ryu Tae-Seok. While Song embarks on a journey to find the secret element on the Moon, she ascertains that the higher-ups have been hiding something. They haven’t discovered the real reason behind the nature of the accident that killed their entire staff at the research facility, Balhae Station. Despite that, Song embarks on the journey to know the truth.
The Silent Sea Season 2: Renewed Or Canceled?
The Silent Sea debuted in December 2021 and took fans by storm. The series worked incredibly well on the streaming platform. However, it has been almost three years since Netflix made any announcement regarding The Silent Sea Season 2. While the streaming giant hasn’t yet renewed the series for the next season, news is surfacing that the show has secretly been canceled.
According to reports, Netflix has canceled the show. However, the streaming giant has yet to make an official statement, so it’s hard to rely on such sources. Further, Netflix hasn’t billed the first eight episodes as a “limited season”; instead, it called them a “season one,” suggesting the streaming platform had plans for more outings. This further gives fans hope that the show might return. As we have said, it’s been three years, and there’s no word on the future of the series. Thus, the chances of its arrival have narrowed down.
Chances Of The Silent Sea Season 2
Although there are no official words on the series’ cancellation, the show received a mixed reception. It earned an 80% positive response on Rotten Tomatoes and 6.9/10 on IMDb. No doubt, the series performed incredibly well on Netflix, too. However, it only managed to enchant the South Korean audience. The Silent Sea remained on the Global Top 10 for 30 days in South Korea just after the series debut.
As for the international chart, the series only remained on the top ten charts for three weeks in 77 countries. These include Australia, Austria, Canada, Hong Kong, Hungary, Japan, Saudi Arabia, and many more. Despite its stellar performance, the series didn’t perform well on Netflix expectations.
This might be the reason why the streaming platform has shelved the series despite planning to return with another season. Netflix typically overlooks the viewership vs. cost chart. So, if the series fails to secure the expected viewership, then the chances of its arrival have already diminished. This seems to be the case with The Silent Sea.
But Gong Yoo Hints At Potential Sequel
Even though Captain Han (played by Gong Yoo) sacrifices himself in the end, he teases his return. During an interview with Sports Chosun via Soompi, Gong Yoo suggested they could return with The Silent Sea Season 2. He said they have left the door open for future development.
He continues that the cliffhanger was well-planned and laid the foundation for the next season. Gong Yoo adds that the series is the first meaningful step for the Korean sci-fi genre, and he is satisfied with that. He is also grateful for the series and wishes to return with the next run.
However, the series received mixed reactions. While many loved the sci-fi drama, some had different opinions and believed the show didn’t work well on the scientific front. In the same interview, Gong Yoo shared that when he received the script and started working on the show, he knew they would receive mixed responses from the audience.
He believed there would be many different perspectives on how their drama could be approached that they would like to explore in the next outing. Despite receiving a negative reaction, he believed the team made the best choice to delve into such a brilliant storyline.
The Silent Sea Season 2: What Might Have Happened?
The season finale ended on an intense note. Scientist Song and her team discovered that lunar water was dangerous. The team also found Luna but was afraid to take her with them as she would be treated as an experiment forever. However, Song suggested they head to the International Institute of Space Biology, where they could provide safety to Luna and share their research with everyone.
Before they could work on their plan, everything fell apart. Lunar water flooding led to the station collapse. To help Song’s safe departure, Han and Gong sacrificed their lives. Once outside the station, the team learned that Luna could survive the exposure to the Moon’s vacuum without a space suit.
As for the rescue team, they successfully picked the samples and surviving crew. Although the finale ended, it opened a door for The Silent Sea Season 2. If the series could return, it could focus on Song, Luna, and Hong’s journey to Earth. Their challenges aren’t over yet. They have to fight the higher-ups who want to use Luna for their political measures.
The Silent Sea Season 2 Cast Details
When the show was announced, fans were excited to learn that legendary Korean stars like Squid Game’s Gong Yoo, The Escape of the Seven’s Lee Joon, and Sense8’s Bae Doona would join the show. They joined as Han Yoon-Jae, Ryu Tae-Seok, and Doctor Song Ji-An. The stellar cast was undoubtedly a blessing for the series. However, the finale left fans on the edge as the majority of them died.
In the end, only three survived the lunar water flooding: Doctor Song, Doctor Hong (Kim Sun-Young), and Luna (Kim Si-A). Since our captain Han died a heroic sacrifice, he won’t return. However, there’s a chance that he might return, but in flashbacks. Besides him, it seems like if The Silent Sea Season 2 returns, it will be joined by a new cast to propel the storyline. Netflix hasn’t commented on this yet, but we will inform you shortly after we learn the official announcement.
The Silent Sea Season 2 Release Date
As mentioned above, the show hasn’t yet been canceled or renewed. Although many sources claim that the series has been secretly canceled, its return is possible. If The Silent Sea returns for another season, it will take a year or more to wrap up production. Since it’s a sci-fi series, it will take longer to conclude its production and post-production work.
Considering this, we expect the show might take longer than usual to return with season 2. Speaking of The Silent Sea Season 2 release date, we can expect it sometime in 2026 if it gets renewed later this year. This is all for now. Stay tuned. TechRadar247 will keep you updated.
With a sweet, loving, and brilliant storyline, the first season of King The Land took the fans to a fairyland. There’s no denying that the show enchanted the fans with its saccharine tone. However, it remains to be seen whether King The Land Season 2 will return. The show has already concluded every character’s story arc, leaving no room for the next season.
Despite that, many are waiting for Netflix to make a jaw-dropping announcement. Will this announcement take place this year? While you wait for the next season, let’s look at what stops Netflix from returning with another run. King The Land follows the story of Gu family heir Gu Won, who struggles to overcome his traumatic childhood memory. However, his life entirely changes after meeting a King Hotel employee.
Although their first encounter was a little messed up, the duo eventually grew closer with the passing of time. Amid their romantic journey and personal growth, Won faces challenges because of her step-sister Hwa-Ran. She wishes to acquire Gu’s family business and kick Won out of the family empire. This battle for power eventually makes things messier as Won wishes to change the working system of King Hotel.
King The Land Season 2: Will It Ever Get Renewed?
Netflix and JTBC’s popular K-drama King The Land aired on June 17 and ran until August 6, 2023, leaving fans on the edge. The show’s sweet tone has undoubtedly helped fans escape reality. While the series’ cutely romantic side garnered positive ratings, the streaming giant and network have yet to announce King The Land Season 2.
Well, the K-drama isn’t Netflix’s Original series, so the decision isn’t entirely in the streaming giant’s hands. As for JTBC, it hasn’t suggested its plans for the sophomore run. JTBC has come up with future developments of many series, such as the Strong Girl Series. But this time, it looks like JTBC has no plans to return with King The Land Season 2.
This is because the network typically announces its decision a couple of months after the show wraps up airing. It’s been a year, and JTBC hasn’t made any announcement. In addition, Netflix has billed the series as a “limited series,” hindering the chances of a potential season 2. So, considering this, it doesn’t seem like King The Land will return with a second season.
But King The Land Ruled The Global Charts
Despite being billed as “limited,” King The Land performed incredibly well. It received an average of 11.008% viewership on the local Korean network. Although the series debut episode only reached 5.344% viewership, the graph peaked with the sixth episode, with the finale gaining 14.534%. In addition, the series gained 8.4/10 on MyDramaList.
Thus, it’s safe to say that King The Land has immense popularity. That’s why many wish the series to return with King The Land Season 2. In fact, Netflix had also considered the series to return with more than one season. Initially, the show wasn’t billed as a “limited” series. It has ruled the Netflix Global Top Ten TV chart since its debut.
The show remained in the top ten for 11 weeks in 55 countries. That’s quite huge for a K-drama. After Squid Game, who ruled Netflix’s Global charts for 22 weeks, King The Land acquired the second position of the most-watched K-drama, giving tough competition to My Demon. Yet, Netflix has no plans for King The Land Season 2.
King The Land Ending Explained
Alert: King The Land’s finale spoilers follow
In the finale, Gu Won decided to propose to Sa-Rang. However, he canceled his decision after Sa-Rang revealed she wanted to quit the job. Initially, Won blamed himself for her decision, but he later discovered that Sa-Rang aspire to start her own hotel. After watching her determination to embark on a new journey, Won postponed his proposal plans and decided to help her.
He even promised Sa-Rang that he would always be by her side. The following day, Sa-Rang officially quit, explaining to Chairman Gu that she would never disappoint him. A sad goodbye followed as everyone wished her the best. As for Won, he gifted her new shoes to mark the beginning of her new journey. With Sa-Rang’s time at King Hotel ending, Gu Won revamped the system.
He proposed upgrading the basic rooms to “everyone was a VIP” now. In fact, he provided additional services to the staff and promoted Sang-Sik to the hotel’s strategic planning department manager. Meanwhile, Sa-Rang found the perfect location for her hotel. With her grandmother’s help, she started working on her own startup.
Gu Won visited Sa-Rang before her hotel opened to help her. He even surprised her with a sweet surprise. While the pair had a beautiful start, Sa-Rang’s hotel became a huge success. As for Gu Won, he struggled to balance his own work and traveling to meet Sa-Rang. This worried her. However, Won promised to stay by her side no matter what.
As the episode progressed, it showed that Won finally proposed to Sa-Rang, who eventually said ‘yes.’ Later, they celebrated her birthday when Won shared his plans to marry her. On their wedding day, the couple finally received the blessing of their loved ones.
Gu Won’s father was also present, along with their family and friends. The series ended with a sweet epilogue, where Sa-Rang helped Gu Won pick his outfit. While this showed that the couple was together, Sa-Rang shied from kissing Won as she was concerned about the people watching them behind the camera before the camera rolled.
Do We Need King The Land Season 2?
The show has already covered every character’s storyline. Gu Won and Sa-Rang ended up together. They are happily married and even receive blessings from Won’s father. As for Gu Won’s step-sister, Hwa-Ran, she finally managed to interact with her son Ji-Hu. In the end, she convinced him to stay in South Korea instead of leaving for America.
While things weren’t good between them, Gu Won’s advice did help her reconcile with her estranged son. Ultimately, it also brought Hwa-Ran and Gu Won together, solving their indifference. Thus, there’s no point in returning with King The Land Season 2.
But if the series gets a miraculous renewal, then it’s likely that the show will explore Won and Sa-Rang’s marriage life and how they deal with their personal and professional business. But it’s unlikely to happen, considering the show has naturally ended; there’s no point in stretching the storyline. That’s why it doesn’t look like we need King The Land Season 2.
What do you think? Should JTBC and Netflix announce King The Land Season 2? Comment below. This is all for now. Stay with TechRadar247 for more such updates.

It delves deeper into an individual’s obsession with living a happy life. With a twisting plotline and murder mystery on edge, Mask Girl Season 2 is hotly anticipated at this moment. However, the question of whether the series will return in another season after Kim Mo Mi, aka Mask Girl’s death arises.
The series’ gripping storyline has already won many hearts, and there’s no denying that. In fact, it performed incredibly well globally, causing fans to believe there’s room for another season. But will we get Mask Girl Season 2, especially after the first season neatly wrapped up the storylines? Here are all the possible reasons why we don’t need a Season 2.
Based on the Naver Webtoon of the same name, the K-drama focused on Kim Mo-Mi’s struggle to live a normal life. As a child, she had always dreamt of becoming a K-pop idol. However, she was rejected because of her average looks and ended up living a normal officer-goer life. Since she had a knack for dancing, Mo Mi started her live-streaming channel. Being insecure about her looks, she put a mask on. Despite receiving colossal fame, her life took a drastic turn when ill-fated events overtook her life.
Is Mask Girl Season 2 Renewed Yet?
Unfortunately, not! The first season aired on August 18, 2023, and it’s been almost a year since we last saw the K-drama. However, Netflix hasn’t yet made an official announcement. That doesn’t mean that Mask Girl didn’t perform well globally. In fact, the show has an incredible start and ending. In just the first three days of its debut, Mask Girl amassed 2.8 million views.
This roughly equates to 19,200,000 watch hours by subscribers. Not only this, the series also secured a second place on Netflix Global Top Ten. Mask Girl remained in the top ten for four consecutive weeks in 72 countries. The show remained in the top ten in South Korea for eight weeks. Well, it suggests that the series amassed praise from not only the global audience but also from its native audience.
The show has also been highly praised in countries like Hong Kong and Vietnam. However, Mask Girl failed to leave a lasting impression in the UK and the US. Though the streaming giant hasn’t yet released a statement regarding Mask Girl Season 2, it has already hinted at the fate of the show.
Netflix has billed the seven episodes season as “limited.” This means the streaming giant has no plans for future development. While it has also hindered the chance of the series’ sophomore run, the story had its conclusive nature. That can also play a significant role in not exploring Mask Girl Season 2 in the future. Keep reading to know what made us say that.

Mi Mo Lives A Miserable Life
After Kim Mo Mi leaves Mi Mo in her mother’s care, Mi Mo’s life becomes more twisted. Although Young Hee, Mo Mi’s mother, loves Mi Mo, her strict approach to parenting has made things vulnerable for the child. Since everyone has followed the Mask Girl case, her arrest has become the national news. This makes Mi Mo a hot topic, and everyone learns about her true identity, which leads to her being bullied by other students.
Since Ye-Chun knows about Mi Mo’s history, the latter believes that Ye-Chun is behind this and has betrayed her. In reality, Kyung-Ja, who is alive, has spread the info. Mi Mo then lashes out her anger at Ye-Chun. However, when her grandmother learns about her fight at school, she kicks her out of home.
With nowhere to go, Mi Mo finds solace in “Tteokbokki Granny,” who provides a helping hand and also shows kindness when others are bullying her. Surprisingly, that granny turns out to be Kyung-Ja. The latter has planned to kill Mi Mo so that Mo Mi can suffer the same pain that Kyung Ja faced years ago.
Kim Mo Mi Escapes Prison To Save Her Daughter
After years behind bars, Mask Girl learns that her daughter has been living a miserable life. She decides to escape prison to get back to her daughter and save her from all the cruelty. To make things work out, Mo Mi decides to help prison bully Eun Suk by donating her kidney to her daughter. This eventually makes Eun Suk feel indebted to Mo Mi and even saves her from the guards and the warden.
Amid this, Kim Mo Mi learns that Kyung Ja is still alive. It turns out that the latter has narrowly escaped death and had plastic surgery to let Mo Mi believe that she has killed Kyung Ja. However, Kyung Ja plans to kill Mi Mo, and she’s the one behind the spread of rumors about her and encourages her to fight her bullies.
After learning that Mi Mo has been kicked out of her school and grandmother’s house, Kim Mo Mi decides to save her daughter. On the day of the kidney transplant, Mo Mi convinces the guards to let her use the restroom. This allows her to escape the hospital, where she steals a car and heads toward Kyung-Ja’s house. Meanwhile, Young Hee has been desperately searching for Mi Mo with Ye-chun.
Showdown: Kyung Ja Kills Mo Mi
At Kyung Ja’s home, Mi Mo is unaware of the former’s plans. She thinks that at least someone treats her well, unaware that Kyung Ja has spiked her soup with a sleeping pill. The granny wishes to videotape the girl’s death. On her way to Kyung Ja’s, Young Hee calls the police. However, she fails to find her granddaughter, as Kyung Ja has hidden her in the basement.
Despite the granny’s attempt to kill Mi Mo, she faces an ill fate. Ye-Chun shows up and unties Mi Mo. However, when they are about to escape, Kyung Ja shows up and kills Young Hee in front of Mo Mi. During this fistfight, Kyung Ja also kills her greatest rival and is then killed by the cops.
After this encounter, Ye-chun’s family adopts Mi Mo, and all start living a happy life. She also finds a camcorder in her grandma’s belongings, which suggests that her mother always wanted to be a performer and loved dancing. She tears as she watches her mother want to be loved by everyone.
Do We Need Mask Girl Season 2?
As mentioned above, the first season has already wrapped up everyone’s storyline. With Mo Mi and Kyung Ja’s death, it doesn’t seem like there’s a chance for Mask Girl Season 2. In the end, Kyung Ja stabs Mo Mi to death, who was also shot to death by the cops. Mi Mo has started living a normal life with Ye-Chun’s parents.
However, there’s a chance that she won’t be in a good spot there. If the show gets a miraculous Season 2, there’s a chance that it might focus on Mi Mo, who has started admiring her mother. So, she might pick her mother’s mask to carry the legacy that her mom has left behind. This eventually draws negative attention, leaving Mi Mo to walk the same path as her mother.
However, things are uncertain at this moment. Bringing Mask Girl Season 2 will only stretch the storyline, and re-exploring the same path will make things troublesome and tedious. Thus, it doesn’t seem like the series should return with another season. What do you think? Should there be Mask Girl Season 2? Comment below. This is all for now. In fact, the series cliffhanger has also left the door open, hinting there’s more to come. But will we get another season? Let’s find out.
Directed by Kim Cheol-Kyu and written by Kim Yi Young, Celebrity delves deeper into the lives of influencers. After Seo Ah-Ri finds herself enjoying the lavish life of fame, wealth, and desire, she learns the deepest secrets of influencers. In order to expose their real face, Ah Ri reveals how these influencers buy “followers” and tricks others into believing they are real celebrities. However, in reality, they aren’t. The story then focuses on Ah Ri’s eventual fall and how she exposes the scandalous lives of the influencers.
Celebrity Season 2: Is It Renewed Yet?
The first season debuted on June 30, 2023, with a bang and immediately took the audience by storm. The series is undoubtedly impressive and a guilty pleasure to watch. With such a fantastic storyline, it was honored with the Korean Drama Awards 2023. However, it’s been a year, and Netflix hasn’t renewed the series for another season.
This has left fans wondering whether there will be a Celebrity KDrama Season 2. As of now, the streaming giant hasn’t confirmed the series’ status. The renewal decision is typically based on the viewership vs. cost chart. Since the series performed incredibly well, there is a potential chance for Celebrity Season 2. Celebrity secured a place in the Netflix Global Top Ten for four weeks in 52 countries.
While the series remained in the top ten in some countries for more than four weeks, it has been highly praised in Indonesia, where it remained in the top ten for eight weeks straight. However, the series failed to find its way in the UK and the US. Despite that, many wish they could get a chance to see another season, but the chances are low.
This is because Netflix has billed the series as “limited.” That means the streaming giant has no plans for K-drama in the future. While the show’s viewership and performance affect the renewal decision, the series’ future is also based on the availability of the storyline. The first season was a rollercoaster ride, exploring every possible emotion and mystery. But did it leave any loose ends for Celebrity Kdrama Season 2? Let’s find out.
Celebrity Kdrama Ending Explained
The first season’s finale was legendary as it tied all the loose ends. It began with Eun Chae discovering about Ah-Ri. She was working at the spa and turned out to be a Bbbfamous. With her job at the spa, she had been listening to the Gabin Society gossip every time they visited the place. She was undoubtedly obsessed with them and was glad that Ah-Ri was dead.
Meanwhile, Jang Hyun Soo arrested the woman, believing she was Seo Ah Ri. But she later turned out to be Jeong Sun, who was helping Du-Seong all this time. Surprisingly, Du Seong surrendered and admitted that he did this to take revenge for his sister. This prompted Detective Jang Hyun Soo to question Du Seong and Jeong Sun about Ah-Ri’s whereabouts.
However, the two were unaware whether their sister was alive as they hadn’t found her body yet. After this arrest, Min Hye and her husband decided to escape the country to avoid the arrest. But Yu Rang, being the snitch, created a mess for them. On the other hand, Ji Na apologized to her followers for selling knockoffs. Angela’s husband abandoned her after he discovered that she was selling her body, and Chae Hee was arrested for illicit narcotics.
As the influencers’ background was exposed, Min Chan was arrested. After Min Chan’s arrest, Tae Jeon covered his bases and tried to silence An Jae Hun. While the media and the public asked to investigate Tae Jeon, Yong Tae turned himself in and revealed all the wrongdoings of Tae Jeon. It shocked him as Jun Kyung gathered the evidence against Tae Jeon, leading to his arrest.
Will There Be A Season 2 Of Celebrity KDrama?
While all the secrets behind the Gabin Society were uncovered, the finale revealed that Seo Ah Ri was alive. She just pretended to be dead to expose the dark secrets of the influencer’s world. She even managed to uncover the identity of Bbbfamous. However, it created a mess for Eun-Chae. After learning that Gabin Society had been exposed, the latter started losing her grip on reality.
She knew she had been lying about her name and background. Eun Chae claimed to be from a wealthy family. But with this latest revelation, she was afraid her lies would also be exposed. Surprisingly, Ah-Ri planned to expose her too. In the end, it was revealed that Eun Chae was taking therapy for depression. She was also on the anti-depressants.
While the series ended with Ah Ri taking her revenge, the finale teased that the show might get another season since the ending saw the cleaners cleaning Eun Chae’s house and finding a tablet in the room that had Seo Ah Ri’s fan account. While the mystery remains unclear what Eun Chae is doing with Seo Ah Ri’s fan account, it seems that she has somehow played that part in Ah Ri’s revenge plan.
As of now, it remains unclear what Eun Chae was doing with the tablet. But it can only be explored in Celebrity KDrama Season 2. However, Netflix has already billed the series as “limited.” So, there’s no need to extend the show, especially since the K-drama has already wrapped every character’s story arc. With a neatly wrapped storyline, it doesn’t seem the streaming giant will return with Celebrity Season 2.
But again, the cliffhanger suggests that things might take a dramatic turn, and someone might be behind Ah Ri. She has already exposed the greatest scandal of all time. So, she needs to face the aftermath of her action. If that is the case, then the show should return to explore the angle. However, the decision will remain in Netflix’s hands. This is all about Celebrity Season 2. Stay with TechRadar247 for more such updates.
Nevertheless KDrama Season 2: After facing the ups and downs together, Jae Eon and Na Bi returned to their respective place in Nevertheless’ pilot season. With such a conclusive nature of the series, the question arises: Do we need Nevertheless Season 2? There’s no denying that seeing Song Kang as a red flag only brought butterflies to his fans’ stomachs. With the cast’s impressive acting and stellar narrative, fans are clamoring to see their favorite characters return. But will it ever happen? Let’s find out!
Nevertheless K-drama is an adaptation of a 2018 popular webtoon of the same name. The series tells the story of two individuals who walk on the same path. They are mutually attracted to each other but afraid to fall in love because of their past relationships. While the female lead, Yoo Na Bi, struggles to trust Park Jae-Eon, he shows all possible signs of not trusting him. As the story progresses, it shows Na Bi’s struggles to have faith in love and enter a relationship with Jeo Eon.
Is Nevertheless Season 2 Renewed Yet?
There’s no denying that fans can’t get off Song Kang ‘s Park Jae Eon’s butterfly tattoo and possessive attitude. Despite him showing all the warning signs that he can’t be trusted, the story focuses on his toxic relationship with Na Bi. Nevertheless debuted back in 2021. Shortly after its debut, it received positive acclaim from the audience as well as the critics. The K-drama gained 80% positive ratings on Rotten Tomatoes and 7.1 stars out of 10 on IMDb. This suggests that JTBC and Netflix should consider returning with Nevertheless Season 2.
But it’s been three years since the series debuted, and fans are eager to know whether the network will come up with another season. The streaming platform and the network generally take a couple of months or less to announce the renewal. However, they haven’t made it yet. In fact, Netflix and JTBC have yet to cancel the series. Thus, it makes fans believe that there’s hope for another season. But is it? Perhaps yes!
Nevertheless debuted in June 2021 but didn’t make it to the Netflix Global Top Ten that month. In fact, it took almost a month to enter the top ten charts. The K-drama received global recognition in the second week of July 2021. Surprisingly, the show remained on the streaming platform’s top ten for seven weeks in 33 countries.
But there are a few countries where the show stayed on Top Ten for more than seven weeks. These include Bangladesh (8 weeks), Indonesia (10 weeks), Hong Kong (9 weeks), Japan (13 weeks), Malaysia (10 weeks), Maldives (8 weeks), Philippines (10 weeks), Singapore (8 weeks), South Korea (9 weeks), Taiwan (9 weeks), Thailand (10 weeks), and Vietnam (9 weeks). Thus, it suggests that the show has a huge fanbase, and Netflix and JTBC should return with Nevertheless Season 2. But unfortunately, they haven’t made the official announcement yet.
Netflix Did Give A Hint At The Series Future
Although JTBC and Netflix haven’t officially canceled the show, the streaming giant has teased that there won’t be another season. That’s because the series has been billed as “limited.” That means there isn’t a chance for the show to return with another season. However, some shows have returned with another season despite being billed as the “limited” one.
So we hope the same for Nevertheless. But the chances are slim in this K-drama’s case. That’s because of Song Kang ‘s upcoming military enlistment. The actor has to serve two years in the military as per South Korean rules and regulations.
This will hinder his chances of returning to Nevertheless KDrama Season 2 in the future. If JTBC and Netflix plan to return with another season, they must return without Song Kang. But again, the series won’t be Nevertheless without Song Kang and his butterfly tattoo. So, if, in the slightest case, the streaming platform does want to return, then they have to wait until the actor returns after fulfilling his duty.
Nevertheless Ending Explained
Nevertheless finale starts with Jae Eon and Na Bi ending their relationship after the former makes unpleasant remarks out of jealousy. Jae Eon revealed that he saw Na Bi with Do Hyeok, which made her angry. She later asked him to leave, and they officially broke up. Although the two made their distance, Na Bi’s life spiraled after her handmade sculpture was ruined a few days before the exhibit.
Surprisingly, Jae Eon entered the picture and comforted her. The moment brought them closer again. Later, he assured her he would help her with her sculpture and promised to leave after the exhibit. With Jae Eon’s help, Na Bi recreated a beautiful sculpture. But as he promised, he left her without a trace. This made things challenging for Na Bi, who struggled to stay without him.
On the day of the exhibit, everyone praised Na Bi for her incredible work. However, she wasn’t excited for the same. In fact, she appeared to be searching for someone. Later, Do Hyeok arrived to congratulate her. Despite all his efforts, Na Bi asked to stay friends. Na Bi later realized that she had always liked Jae Eon. After the success of the exhibition, she returned to the empty gallery.
There, she spotted Jae Eon, who was admiring their sculpture. Na Bi was upset and expressed her disappointment in being separated. To her surprise, Jae Eon asked for another chance, to which she said, ‘Yes.’ Still, he questioned whether he would regret it in the future. Na Bi replied that she would definitely regret it, but despite that, they both entered the relationship. The series ended with their passionate kiss as they walked hand in hand out of the exhibit.
Is There Enough Source Material?
Although the show has been billed as “limited” and ended on a positive note, there’s room for Nevertheless KDrama Season 2. As we have mentioned, the K-drama is an adaptation of the popular webtoon. It started serializing in 2018 on Naver Webtoon and ended in the same year. Although the webtoon ended, more chapters are left to explore in Nevertheless Season 2.
The TV adaptation covers only half of the webtoon, where Jae Eon and Na Bi enter a relationship. However, the webtoon’s ending hints at a different direction. The webtoon depicts Na Bi’s thoughts about Jae Eon. Although she has feelings for him, she receives warning signs that suggest she should avoid him. Despite everything, Na Bi fails to listen to her inner feelings and ends up with Jae Eon.
In the end, it is revealed that Jae Eon is playing with Na Bi and has no feelings for her. This leaves her traumatized and afraid of starting a new relationship with anyone. Despite everything, Na Bi gives a shot to her relationship with sweet and honest Do Hyeok. He has had feelings for Na Bi since they met. However, Na Bi has never appreciated his feelings for her, making things complicated for Do Hyeok.
But when she truly enters a relationship with Do Hyeok, she struggles to trust him. She even doubts his intention when two female fans approach him. Na Bi thinks of all the wrong things, yet she knows Do Hyeok isn’t the type of person who can break her trust, so she decides to stay with him. The story wraps up with Na Bi encountering Jae Eon in a bar with a girl, explaining the meaning behind his butterfly tattoo.
Will There Be A Season 2 Of Nevertheless?
As mentioned above, the show can explore the second half of Na Bi and Jae Eon’s relationship. There are plenty of storylines remaining to explore. Although the pair has entered a relationship, Nevertheless KDrama Season 2 can focus on their fair share of struggles and how Jae Eon never changes in his life. He keeps flirting with other girls, creating problems for Na Bi, who later learns her big mistake of selecting Jae Eon over Do Hyeok. The show can also explore the characters’ growth and how they end up.
So, if JTBC and Netflix decide to return with Nevertheless KDrama Season 2, they can explore this story arc where Na Bi struggles to stay with Jae Eon. It will perfectly explain all the warning signs she received at the beginning of the series. Further, there’s room for another season. As we have mentioned, the story has yet to be explored. Considering this, it would be right to give the show a second chance so that it can feature the fall of Na Bi and Jae Eon’s relationship.

Time travel dramas have always enchanted fans with their enigmatic and never-before-seen storylines, and the A Time Called You K-drama did the same. Its enchanting storyline left fans on their toes as it focused on a girl’s struggle to keep her lover safe. With the intriguing storyline and mesmerizing moments, fans are curious to know whether A Time Called You Season 2 will return.
There’s no denying that such time-traveling stories always leave loopholes to be explored in future developments. So, based on the finale, let’s explore the chances of the series’ return. A Time Called You is an adaptation of the Taiwanese TV series Someday or One Day. The show focuses on time travel, with Jun-Hee transported back to 1998 into a different body.
There, she eventually met her deceased boyfriend and decided to save him from dying. Despite the series being filled with suspense and tension, it follows the rom-com style of K-drama. There, Jun-Hee falls in love with her partner Si-heon once again. With the heartwarming romance at the core, the show uncovers the mystery surrounding Jun-Hee’s boyfriend’s death.
A Time Called You Season 2 Renewable Status
At the time of writing (July 2024), Netflix hasn’t yet renewed the show for another season. Well, the series debuted back on September 8, 2023. It soon topped the Netflix Global Top Ten charts within the first week of its debut. No doubt, the series is mesmerizing and fans really loved the time-traveling K-drama. Despite that Netflix didn’t return with another season.
Well, A Time Called You is a Netflix Original K-drama, so the entire decision is in the streaming giant’s hands. Although the series created an uproar with its performance, it only stayed on the Global Top Ten for four weeks in 38 countries. It performed incredibly well in Indonesia and South Korea. However, the series failed to leave a mark in the United States and the UK.
In fact, the streaming giant hasn’t yet shared the series’ viewership, but it is expected to be minimal. Thus, everything points in the direction that the show would face a dark fate, leaving no hope for A Time Called You Season 2. However, many still believe that the K-drama might return with another season. That’s because Netflix hasn’t yet canceled the show, leaving hope for its future development.
However, that wouldn’t be the case. Netflix called the 12-episode season a “limited series” rather than “season one.” This suggests that the show has never been envisioned as an ongoing series, which eventually hinders the chances of A Time Called You Season 2.
A Time Called You Ending Explained
In the first season’s finale of A Time Called You, Jun-Hee finally managed to save Min-Ju’s life in the process of saving In-Gyu from imprisonment. It later led to Chan-Yeong’s arrest. Despite being saved, Min-Ju decided to end her life. However, Jun-Hee was still in possession of Min-Ju’s body. She managed to save her from dying. Her move radically changed everyone’s future.
Jun-Hee then had words of wisdom with Min-Ju. It helped the latter realize that the overbearing weight of everyone’s expectations had stopped her from being happy. So, instead of living on everyone’s expectations, she should prioritize herself. This further helped Min-Ju in realizing that In-Gyu had always been with her during her thick and thin.
He was the supportive partner she had always wished for. In the end, Jun-Hee decided to destroy the tape to restore the time loop. Her action would save Min-Ju from being slaughtered by Chan-yeong’s hands. But it would also destroy Jun-Hee’s memories with Si-Heon. Despite that, she decided to destroy it. Before that, she had a sweet kiss with Si-Heon.
Back in 2023, everything turned normal, and Si-Heon had no memories of Jun-Hee. The two had forgotten each other. However, the show again had a time loop that took the fans back in 2011. Si-Heon was listening to a track, “Gather My Tears,” and suddenly realized that the girl sitting next to him was Min-Ju. Mysteriously drawn to her, he got off the bus and followed her. Surprisingly, the show ended in their last shared moment in 1998, leaving an open door for future development, perhaps A Time Called You Season 2.
A Time Called You Season 2: What Might Have Happened?
The first season ended on the couple’s last shared moment in 1998. However, it never explained whether the two had their memories from the past. Although a lot of things remained unclear, we could expect that it could be explored in A Time Called You Season 2. Since it’s a time-traveling series, there’s always a dangling thread open for further developments. If the show could ever return in another season, it might reveal whether Jun Hee and Si-Heon had memories of their past.
There’s also a possibility that the show might focus on their romance. They might start their relationship all over again. Though they don’t remember each other, their feelings for each other might remain intact. This could act as a driving force for them to explore a new romance, bringing them closer. There’s always room for another series, as anything could happen in a time travel drama.
It Might Get A Movie Adaptation
As mentioned above, the K-drama is an adaptation of the Taiwanese drama Someday or One Day. The K-drama has remained faithful to its original source material and has already adopted the entire story arc. Since the Taiwanese drama only ran for one season, it also slims down the chances of A Time Called You Season 2. Thus, we can say that there’s less chance for A Time Called You to return with another season. However, the Taiwanese series had a movie adaptation in 2022.
The film didn’t count as the immediate adaptation of the series as it presented a brand new time loop. It eventually helped the fans live in their time-traveling moments with a new storyline and characters. So, there’s a chance that A Time Called You can also return in the same manner. Instead of returning as A Time Called You Season 2, it might get a movie adaptation. This will eventually help the audience calm down their thirst.
A Time Called You Season 2 Release Date
As mentioned above, the show has been billed as a “limited series.” This means the chances of A Time Called You Season 2 is improbable. However, if the series returns with another season in the future, it’s expected to take a year or more to finish scriptwriting, filming, and post-production work. Since it will play with time hoaxes, it may take longer time to finish scripting. Thus, we can expect that show to return sometime in 2026 if it gets renewed this year. This is all for now. Stay with TechRadar247 for more such updates.
After a gripping first season, Kdrama Bloodhounds vows to return with more exciting and stunning storylines. Does this mean Bloodhounds Season 2 is on the cards? Since the first season aired, several rumors have surfaced suggesting that the top-rated series might return with future developments. It eventually brings Lee Sang Yi and Woo Do Hwan back onto our screens. There’s no denying that their bromance has been highly appreciated, and people want to see more of it. But will Netflix plan to return with a sophomore run? Keep reading to find this out.
Based on a webtoon, the K-drama series is an action noir that revolves around two young people whose lives turn dark when they step into the darker world of loan sharks. After Geon Woo learns about his mother’s debt, he enters the world of loan sharks to clear his debt. But this brings him closer to Woo Jin, who helps Geon Woo in thick and thin. However, as they both enter the world of loan sharks, they learn that things are darker than they seem. The two are eventually caught up in a web of lies and darker forces who make things miserable for them.
Bloodhounds Season 2: Is It Renewed Yet?
Nearly a year later, Bloodhounds returned with a much-needed update. The first season aired on June 9, 2023, and rocked the entertainment world with its powerful storytelling and action. There’s no doubt that the series was a big hit on Netflix. According to FlixPatrol, the show was the most popular series on Netflix. The K-drama secured the 9th position on the top ten list, surpassing Crash Course In Romance.
In addition, Bloodhounds remained on the Netflix Global Top Ten for five weeks in 83 countries. It has been highly appreciated in South Korea, where it ruled the global charts for seven weeks straight. Surprisingly, Bloodhounds made its way to the United States top ten list. Thus, there’s no denying that the series is highly popular, and fans are clamoring for Bloodhounds Season 2.
To your surprise, the K-drama is already in talks about future development. On April 29, Korean news outlet Sports Seoul reported that Bloodhound might return with a Season 2. According to reports, Netflix is planning Bloodhounds kdrama Season 2. The statement further states that the lead actors, Lee Sang Yi and Woo Do Hwan, have gained tremendous popularity, and the audience has dramatically appreciated their bromance in the first season. So, without further thought, the lead actors will return to enchant the audience again.
But Netflix Has Yet To Renew Bloodhounds
While Sports Seoul suggests that Netflix has been planning to return with another season, the streaming giant has denied such claims. According to reports, the streaming giant has secretly renewed the series for Bloodhounds Season 2. However, a representative of Netflix recently revealed that, at this moment, there are no such words for season 2.
The rep said, “We are discussing it positively,” things are currently in the talking stage. That means the streaming giant hasn’t yet confirmed the series’ second season. But that doesn’t mean Bloodhounds kdrama Season 2 isn’t on the cards. Netflix has called the eight-episode season “season one” rather than “limited.” This means the streaming giant has envisioned the show returning for future developments. If this is the case, we believe the show will definitely return with a sophomore run. Still, let’s wait for the official announcement.
Director Teases There’s More To Explore In Bloodhounds Season 2
The reports suggest that the streaming giant is discussing continuing with the Bloodhounds saga. During this, director Kim Joo Hwan indicated that he has plans for Bloodhounds Season 2. In the post-release interview, Joo Hwan voiced his excitement to return with another season. He said that he has been optimistic about the series’ future and wants to expand Bloodhounds as long as it can take.
Joo Hwan has suggested that he already has plans for how the second season will look and what narrative it will follow. He states, “If Season 2 materializes, I aim to explore additional narratives.” He has already mapped out the second season and how things will be played off.
With continued support, Joo Hwan wishes to push the boundaries and focus entirely on different storylines. This will help them pick the pace from where things have concluded. Although the series director hasn’t yet revealed how things will turn in Bloodhounds kdrama Season 2, his statement suggests they have already finished the scripting part.
Bloodhounds Season 2: When Will Production Begin?
Netflix has yet to officially renew Bloodhounds Season 2. However, this doesn’t mean the show willn’t undergo filming. If you remember, Netflix secretly renewed Virgin River for future developments a long time back. The series even underwent filming without receiving an official announcement.
So if Bloodhounds follows the same timeline, then we believe the series will also undergo production relatively soon. Surprisingly, the reports suggest that the series is already gearing up for its production. As per Sports Seoul, the show is scheduled to start filming in the second half of this year (2024).
Typically, the production work takes time. But if the show starts filming in the second half of this year, it will take only seven to eight months to wrap up production and post-production work. But again, neither the production house nor any cast members have confirmed the production status. This suggests that the show has time to start filming. We will update you once we learn the official announcement.
Bloodhounds Season 2 Cast Details
Official reports have already suggested that the show will return with the lead characters. That means Woo Do Hwan will return as Kim Geon Woo, and Lee Sang Yi will return as Hong Woo Jin in Bloodhounds Season 2. Park Sung-Woong’s character, Kim Myeong Gil, was already sent behind bars, so it remains unclear whether he will return.
Huh Joon Ho can also return as Choi Tae Ho and Kim Sae-Ron as Cha Hyun Joo. But it remains to be seen who else will join the sophomore run. Many characters’ story arcs have been concluded, so we expect some new enemies to enter the picture.
Bloodhounds Season 2: What To Expect Next?
Before delving deeper into Bloodhounds Season 2, let’s take a look at the pilot season’s recap. In the first season, the former Marines and talented boxers Woo Jin and Geon Woo spent their time finding a way to take down loan shark Myeong Gil, the owner of money lending organization Smile Capital. Since Geon-Woo was in debt, he entered the world of loan sharks to settle things. But they discovered that things were messier than they appeared.
By the end of the first season, the duo joined hands with Gang Yong and Hong Min Beom to take down the loan shark. However, Myeong Gil had already planned to flee the country to Vietnam with the laundered money and gold. His attempt went in vain as both the boxers defeated Myeong Gil and arrested him for the crime charges.
After successfully solving the case, the pair were rewarded and eventually returned to their normal lives. Since the first season has neatly wrapped up their story, it doesn’t seem like it will focus on Myeong Gil’s story arc. Bloodhounds kdrama Season 2 might introduce another powerful villain.
There’s a possibility that Myeong Gil was just a pawn, and someone else controlled him. If that’s the case, we will learn who the mastermind behind this great money laundering is in the forthcoming season. As of now, the director hasn’t yet revealed the official synopsis of the next season. But all we can say now is that the second season will be full of blast.
Bloodhounds Season 2 Release Date
Netflix has yet to renew the show for the second season officially. However, reports suggest that the show will soon enter the production stage. If the source is trusted, the show will start filming sometime in late 2024. Since filming and post-production work takes seven to eight months, we can expect Bloodhounds Season 2 to be released sometime in the fall of 2025. This is all for now. Stay tuned. TechRadar247 will keep you updated.
