The series follows the life of a female pro gamer and how she tries to make it big in the male-dominated world. Ever since the first season of the show dropped on Netflix, fans have been eagerly waiting for Falling Into Your Smile Season 2.

Will There Be Falling Into Your Smile Season 2?

The first season of the Chinese drama series came to an end on July 15, 2021, on Netflix. Meanwhile, as far as the show’s future is concerned, there has not been any update about it yet. Neither Netflix nor the original creators of the show have given the green light to Falling Into your Smile Season 2 yet.

What Is The Show About?

The C-drama series is based on the same-named popular online book. The story follows a female E-gamer who is struggling against all obstacles to make a name for herself in a male-dominated profession and perhaps discover something more significant.

When their finest player suffers a hand injury, ZGDX is forced to make do without one of its top players. ZGDX’s towering and moody captain grudgingly agrees to have her as a backup player, sending the entire globe into a frenzy. The show explores if a female pro-gamer can ever be talented enough to lead an all-male team to the championship finals. Will there be sparks between her and the group’s captain when they eventually meet, or will it be game over?

The cast of the Falling Into Your Smile features Xu kai in the role of Lu Si Cheng, Cheng Xiao playing Tong Yao, Yao Chi as Lu Yue, and Judi Qi appearing as Su Luo. Meanwhile, the show also stars cast members like Zhai Xiao Wen, Rachel Wang, and several others. 

Meanwhile, there has not been any update on who will return to the cast for the second season. If the show is recommissioned for Falling into your Smile Season 2, most of the main cast members are expected to return to their respective roles. At the same time, there might also be some new faces in the cast of the second season.

The book’s class title is omitted from the series, leaving the audience with the impression that Eve is registered in a writing class with no context.

Eve’s writing class in the book provides to addresses a plot hole in the series, as Eve’s writing course seems to perform very little, if any, writing. However, in both versions, the instructor, Margo Fairchild, a transgender woman, takes the class to a local pub where they can discover their gender and culture with fewer restrictions.

Brendan’s College struggle!

Brendan is popular in high school, with a beautiful girlfriend and a bustling social life. In both the series and the book, Harry feels a significant degree of loneliness once he starts college. Zach, Brendan’s roommate, is spending less and less time with him after concluding that he dislikes the way the two talk about women when they’re together.

Brendan is pushed to grow once he leaves the nest as a typical jerk-jock who is rarely held responsible for most of what he says and does. Brendan quits out of college because he feels particularly isolated and misunderstood. Sanjay, a dormmate, drives Brendan home after school on the night of Eve’s party in both versions of the story.

Brendan Vs. Julian!

Eve meets Julian at her late-night lesson in both iterations of the tale. Brendan tormented Julian, who was less popular and depressed, in high school. In each iteration, though, the level of his bullying varies.

According to the book, Brendan’s friend, Wade, convinces him to imprison Julian for many hours inside a Porta-Potty, with Julian’s phone just out of reach. Brendan is the major aggressor in the series against Julian, and the Porta Potty occurrence is never mentioned. Julian’s forecast that Brendan will be unmasked as the nasty guy he truly is while in college is included in the series. Julian tells a student in the book that he had PTSD from high school, implying that Brendan is to blame.

Mrs. Fletcher Season 2 Cast!

The first season of Mrs. Fletcher stars Kathryn Hahn in the titular role of Eve Fletcher. The actress is also known for Revolutionary Road Tomorrowland and Wanda Vision. Eve’s son Brendan is played by Jackson White, Casey Wilson plays Eve’s close friend Jane, and Owen Teague appears as Brendan’s classmate Julian.

 On the other hand, the show stars Jen Richards as a transgender woman, Margo, Domenick Lombardozzi as George. In addition, other cast members include Katie Kershaw as Amanda Olney, while Cameron Boyce Jasmine Cephas Jones also appears in recurring roles. When the show returns for Mrs. Fletcher Season 2, we expect most of the original cast members to return in their roles.

Back in 2018, Line Of Duty creator Jed Mercurio came up with a mind-blowing political thriller series, Bodyguard. The show achieved greater heights which left fans questioning the future of Bodyguard Season 2. However, we have bittersweet news for the series fans. BBC One has yet to announce the future of the show. Well, it’s been almost five years, and still, the network remained mum. But it seems like things will soon change as the creator has recently opened up about potential Bodyguard Season 2.

Created by Jed Mercurio, the series revolves around Police Sergeant David Budd a British Army war veteran who’s currently fighting PTSD. Now he’s assigned as the principal protection officer for the Royalty and Specialist Protection Branch of London’s Metropolitan Police Service. He works to maintain the security of Home Secretary Julia Montague. But he deals with several difficult tasks in order to stay away from controversy.

Will It Ever Return?

Back in 2018, Mercurio teased that it was just beginning, and they started discussing a potential second season with the BBC. Richard Madden teased in November 2018 that he’d decided to meet with Mercurio to discuss Bodyguard Season 2. He showed his excitement for what holds for David. But they were waiting for an official announcement. Shortly in 2019, the BBC declared that they were in talks and going through the show’s logistics.

Later, Madden told The Hollywood Reporter that they were speaking about the potential second season. But they want to give at least a year to work on what possible future holds for the show. While fans waited eagerly for any official announcement, Mercurio addressed the situation in 2020. The CEO of World Productions, Simon Heath, called Bodyguard a big beast to come up with the drama. But he feels confident about bringing the show back.

Speaking of its viewership, the series gained a 93% positive response on Rotten Tomatoes, while it gained 79 out of 100 on Metacritic. Apart from this, the series became the most-watched TV drama back in 2018. In fact, it broke the records as a 17.1 million audience viewed the show. Thus being the blockbuster hit, there’s a chance that Bodyguard will return for the second season.

Bodyguard Season 2: Who Will Return?

Given that Richard Madden‘s David Budd survived at the end of the first season, we expect Madden to return. Other possible returnees include Sophie Rundle as Vicky Budd, Gina McKee as Cmdr Anne Sampson, and Paul Ready as Rob MacDonald. Nina Toussaint-White as DS Louise Rayburn might also return with Ash Tandon as DCI Deepak Sharma. Additionally, Vincent Franklin as Mike Travis may return with Richard Riddell as Tom Fenton and Michael Schaeffer as Richard Longcross.

Apart from them, Matt Stokoe as Luke Aiken will join David Westhead as John Vosler and Stuart Bowman as Stephen Hunter-Dunn. Stephanie Hyam as Chanel Dyson will also join Nicholas Gleaves as Roger Penhaligon and Pippa Haywood as Chief Superintendent Lorraine Craddock.

Has Production Begun?

As of now, BBC One has yet to announce the show’s future. The network hasn’t greenlit the show. But deeming its viewership, we can expect soon the network will reveal its decision. Speaking of its production status, the series is currently in its development stage as per the source. It further hints that Bodyguard Season 2 is on the cards.

Bodyguard Season 2: What Will Happen Next?

In the first season finale, Luke Aitkens and his goons killed Julia Montague in order to stop her from becoming Prime Minister. However, he was jailed along with Lorraine Craddock, a bent copper who sold Julia’s itineraries. Further, would-be train bomber Nadia will work on her terrorist cohorts to build more bombs for the future. Julia’s death left David hopeless, and he sought help for his mental issues. So if the show returns for the second run, it will definitely explore some loose ends.

As of now, the BBC One has yet to decide the show’s future. Considering the show is currently in its development stage, we can expect that soon the show will undergo production in the summer of 2022. So, the four friends abducted Jack and left him in the woods during the centenary party. But when the four friends returned to check on him, they find him dead.

Has It Renewed Yet?

Unfortunately, not yet. BBC One has yet to announce the show’s future. However, the show was issued as a miniseries, hinting it won’t return for the second season. However, the series creator revealed that they are interested in telling fresher stories to the audience. So they are considering running the show in an anthology format. But he admitted that they are currently looking for the audience response based on which they will decide the show’s future.

The series actress Rakie Ayola also confirmed that they hope for the second run. Based on the success of the series, everyone is expecting at least one more installment in the future. Speaking about its ratings, The Pact has received a positive response. It gained 7.9/10 positive responses on IMDb, while on Rotten Tomatoes, it gained 92% positive ratings.
