Apple Tv+ has hit the jackpot with the critically acclaimed historical drama series Pachinko. The show is getting loads of viewership with its intriguing storyline. The series created by Soo Hugh follows the love of Zainichi Korean immigrants in Japan during the Second World War. As the first season ended on an inconclusive note and the viewers were itching, Apple Tv has greenlit Pachinko Season 2.

Is Pachinko Season 2 Renewed?

Season one of Apple’s Tv’s Pachinko concluded on April 29, 2022. However, the streaming platform did not waste any time in announcing the show’s renewal for the second season. On April 29, 2022, Apple Tv confirmed the show’s sophomore season via a Tweet that reads, “A sweeping tale too epic for just one season. The critically acclaimed #Pachinko is coming back for Season 2. “

Series creator Soo Hugh couldn’t hide her excitement while talking about Pachinko Season 2. In a statement, she said, “Words cannot express my joy in being able to continue telling the extraordinary story of this indomitable family. I’m grateful to the amazing team at Apple and Media Res studio for believing and supporting this show and to our passionate fans who have cheered us on.” She also added, “It’s an honour to be able to continue working with this amazing cast and crew.”

What Will Pachinko Season 2 Be About?

At the end of the first season of the show, Hana was dead in the year 1989. On the other hand, Yoshi and Solomon were devising plans to get Han Geum-ja to leave her property. Meanwhile, in 1938, the authorities detained Isak for his “unpatriotic” actions while the World War was approaching its peak. Sunja, much to her brother-in-chagrin, the law’s set up a kimchi stall as a consequence. Meanwhile, Koh Hansu had his first encounter with his son.

The second season will continue the story after the ending of the first season. Kyunghee will lend a helping hand to Sunja with her Kimchi stall.
