The first season of Apple Tv+’s Sci-Fi drama series ‘Invasion’ just finished its run on December 10. And now, fans are wondering as to when and if Invasion Season 2 will come out.

Invasion is a science fiction drama series released on Apple TV+ in October 2021. The show follows the personal lives of four individuals in the midst of a full-fletched alien invasion on Earth. The audience and critics have well received the first season of the series. However, the first season only explored the early stages of the alien invasion, leaving the fans excited to see more of it in Invasion Season 2.

About The Show

Invasion is a story of an alien incursion on Earth and its war. As the world gets deep in chaos, everyone tries to fight for their survival in an absurd situation. The series follows the viewpoint of mainly four people. Aneesha Malik is a loving mommy and wife whose husband is disloyal to her. The alien attack started when she was confronting her husband about cheating. Also, there is Trevante Ward, an American trooper desperately trying to return home to his wife after the attack killed his entire unit. 

Meanwhile, Mitsuki Yamato is a Japanese space researcher. Her partner astronaut Hinata Murai supposedly died in the crash with alien spacecraft. And, the fourth person is Caspar Morrow, a normal boy who can connect with the alien communication channels. Meanwhile, rather than focusing on the great war between the Earth’s inhabitants and otherworldly beings, Invasion focuses on how people’s lives have been affected by an alien invasion. It’ll be interesting to find out what happens next in their lives in Invasion Season 2. 

Invasion Season 2: What To Expect?

In the first season of Invasion, the world was still coping with an alien invasion. Mitsuki escaped the city, seeking refuge in a shrine. Meanwhile, Ahmed’s death has been sorrowful for the Malik family. Warm got back home to his wife while Casper was considered dead. Also, Casper encountered Ikuro in a delusive state. The aliens have likely created him from Hinata’s recollection. Moreover, at the end of the first season, a gigantic alien ship came and started taking away Earth’s water.

Now, Invasion Season 2 will explore more about the invasion and the reason behind it. Meanwhile, despite Ward’s promise to his wife of not going back to the war, it is like that he will have to choose duty over love due to the circumstances in Invasion Season 2.

Season 2 Is Coming!

Apple TV+ renewed the series for Invasion Season 2 before the first season’s conclusion. Showrunner Kinberg while announcing the good news, stated that “I’m profoundly grateful to Apple for being so supportive every step of the way and trusting us to make a deeply human, emotional alien-invasion story,”

He also thanked the amazing fans, without whom he wouldn’t have this opportunity to continue the invasion. Kinberg further added that he is very excited about season two. And that they are to expand “our universe in the most intimate and epic ways.”

He tried to convince Beckett to hold on for a while. He also suggested that he could stabilize the man with some extra equipment. 

Moreover, he went behind Beckett’s back and asked Andy to bring Carina. The man received a call from his wife as he tried to hide the reality from her. Eventually, Carina showed up, and they managed to rescue the man alive. His wife showed up at the same moment and was shocked to see what had happened. The man was then transferred to Grey Sloan immediately. 

Further, Jack was not too happy about Victoria breaking protocol to save the woman. He felt she was not ready for the field job and ordered her to take a desk. Meanwhile, Theo came to see Victoria. She confessed to kissing Jack and apologized for it. She also said that she loved him and not Jack. But, Theo was upset and left the conversation.

Meanwhile, Robert and Andy had a light and funny moment together on their way to the hospital. Later, at the Firehouse party, Carina and Maya revealed that they were going to have a child. Soon after, Bailey showed up with Pru and told them that the man crushed between the cars would survive in Station 19 Season 5 Episode 8.

Sadly, the show has taken a fall break. But don’t worry, because the returning episode will be a winter crossover with Grey’s Anatomy Season 18. ABC will air Station 19 Season 5 Episode 9 on February 24, 2021, at 8:00 p.m. ET.

The Witcher Season 3: Updates

The first and the second season of The Witcher were separated by a gap of two years. However, the reason behind this gap was the Covid19 outbreak that happened worldwide. Moreover, Henry Cavill got injured, which caused further delay for the second season. Meanwhile, as per the reports, season three is expected to release towards the end of 2022, or perhaps early 2023, assuming that production continues to move at nearly the same pace as it did before the pandemic. That is, of course, subject to change.

The Witcher Season 3 is yet to receive an official release date, albeit it may take some time. Lauren Schmidt Hissrich, the show’s creator, also stated that screenwriting for Season 3 finished in early December, but she hasn’t said as to when principal photography would begin.

Showrunner’s View On Next Season

While talking about the third season, showrunner Lauren Hissrich added that “I also think I’m not in a rush to get through these stories, you know? We approximately do a book a season, but we also make sure that the stories from that book are best in that season of our television show.”

She further added that the writers’ room the next season is incredible. Also, they had some new people come in, and it was exciting how it changed the dynamic of the room to have sort of new blood

What To Expect From The Witcher Season 3?

After the dramatic finale of the second season, the next few episodes will mostly focus on Ciri’s destiny as a world-destroyer or, hopefully, a savior if season four is ever to be revealed. Ciri now has Geralt and Yennefer by her side, despite the fact that there are many forces assembling to use the princess’s power for their own ends, including her own (dead) father.

However, things might not go as smoothly as planned. Show creator Lauren further suggested that season three will have “a lot of action, some death… some death!” while speaking on a panel at the Lucca Comics & Games Festival in Italy. But we still don’t know what exactly did she mean. Does this mean the death of a main character from the show, or is it just some regular monster-killing by Geralt. We’ll have to wait for The Witcher Season 3 to find out.
