Is Big Little Lies Season 3 coming soon? HBO’s Big Little Lies is a drama series, which debuted in 2017 on the network. The show is based on a novel of the same name by Liane Moriarty. The comedy-drama series chronicles the lives of five women who get entwined in a murder mystery. The five main characters on the show are portrayed by Nicole Kidman, Reese Witherspoon, Zoë Kravitz, Laura Dern, and Shailene Woodley.  

Big Little Lies garnered splendid reviews from critics and was equally well received by the viewers. In addition, the show received several accolades, including Emmy and Golden Globe, for brilliant writing and masterful storytelling. Originally intended to be a miniseries, Big Little Lies returned for a second season in 2019. With the second season’s kind of success, fans are wondering whether Big Little Lies Season 3 is in-store or not?

Is Big Little Lies Season 3 Renewed?

The second season of Big Little Lies aired on HBO on June 9, 2019, with the season finale airing on July 21, 2019. Season 2 had seven episodes, each with a runtime of about 50 minutes. Although there hasn’t been any official announcement for Big Little Lies Season 3 yet. Where Will The Story Head In Season 3?

The second installment of the show was released in 2019. Mary Louise and her daughter-in-law Celeste have had a tense relationship during the season. Meanwhile, Celeste succeeded in obtaining custody of her children after fighting the case alone. And during a flashback, the audience finds out the reason for Perry’s brother’s death.

Mary Louise drove out once the case closed. Ed and Madeline renew their vows, Renata took a firm position against Gordon and Bonnie told Nathan about their deteriorating relationship. Then with Ziggy’s blessing, Jane and Corey continue forward with their romance. Bonnie’s intriguing character development is one of the highlights of the season. Season two of the show tried to tie all the open ends in its conclusion. Thus, it is tricky to speculate where the plot will head if Big Little Lies Season 3 happens. The show’s first season released in the UK on ITV on August 25, 2021. Meanwhile, the American premiere of the series was on January 12, 2020, on PBS. The first season has a total of eight episodes.

Talking about Sandition Season 2, executive producer Belinda Campbell said that “Creators always said, and ITV has also said that they would like to see Sandition get picked up and carried on elsewhere. As per the reports, the production for the second season is currently underway. And the filming is taking place in Briston, Norfolk. Meanwhile, the first look of some characters for the next season has been revealed. Fans can see a group of soldiers in red uniforms in the first look, led by Colonel Francis Lennox.

What Will Happen In The Second Season?

Peacemaker Trailer Is Here!

On December 3, 2021, HBO Max shared the final trailer before the release of the series in January 2022. The show is written and directed by James Gunn. The three-minute-long clip starts with Sophie Song talking about Peacemaker. She says, “He is a trained killer, We’ve got trouble with that maniac”. In the next few shots, few see the titular character running from Sophie and his partner, who are behind him.

However, the Peacemaker is not alone. A hawk is with him (we don’t know why! Nobody does). Then we see Cena’s character with his father. Further in the trailer, there is a vigilante alongside the protagonist, to whom Peacemaker reveals that he is working for the Government. Revealing the nature of his job, he further says to his friend, “I kill People for them”. Fans can also see what appears to be an unofficial task force with Vigilante and Peacemaker in it. 

The trailer gives out glimpses of the journey of introspection that the titular character will undergo in the series. Opposed to his nature, he is struggling to eliminate a target who was with a kid. The trailer further gives provides some outlook of the upcoming season without spoiling it too much. Based on the trailer, it seems safe to say that Peacemaker has the potential to be one of the best superhero series in 2022.

More DC Spinoffs In The Future?

James Gunn, who gained recognition for Guardians of Galaxy, joined the club of DC filmmakers for 2021’s Suicide Squad. After the movie release, the announcement came that Gunn is working on another DC project, a spinoff for Peacemaker from Suicide Squad. Gunn’s news venture, The Peacemaker is set to premiere on HBO Max on January 13, 2022.

Ahead of the film’s release, James Gunn has hinted that the future may hold more Suicide Squad spinoffs for the fans. The speculations began when a fan asked Gunn about the possibility of more spinoff shows based on DC characters. James’ ambiguous reply indicates that can be the case. In the reply, he shared a funny GIF of a raccoon laughing and captioned “he, he, he, he, he, he, he.” This reply was enough to fuel rumors among fans as they have already started guessing who will be the next character to get a spin-off. But what are your views on this. On the other end, Bell was worried about her sister after discovering that she had been spending time with a stranger. Moreover, Hugo’s phone was wire-tapped before he went to deliver the money. Unfortunately, Rick shot Hugo and took away the money without returning his daughter. Bell was lost after discovering that her sister had overdosed, resulting in Ricky escaping past her.

Finally, the FBI located Ricky and took care of his men. They successfully managed to save Lucia while Bell rushed into the hospital to check up on her sister, who survived the overdose.
