Manifest Season 4: Original Cast Set To Return! Save For Some Prominent Exceptions

Days after Netflix revived Manifest for the fourth and final run, Manifest Season 4 unveiled who will stay in their journey for one last time. Well, you don’t need to be disheartened. As many of the main cast will return to the final chapter. However, some of their fate still remains up in the air. Created by Jeff Rake, the supernatural drama revolves around the mystery behind the mysterious disappearance and reappearance of Montego Air Flight 828.

However, despite Manifest being one of the most popular shows on NBC, the network canceled the show soon after dropping its season 3 finale. While some were trying to figure it out, many fans quickly hop on social media to begin campaign #SaveManifest. Well, it didn’t take a while when Netflix decided to renew the show for the fourth and final season. However, Manifest was initially supposed to run for six seasons. So, now it would be intriguing to see how things would unfold only in one season.

Manifest Season 4: Who Will Return?

Manifest’s budget eventually increased after it landed on Netflix. This shift to the streaming platform has offered pay bumps to the cast as well. Although the official cast list has yet to reveal, fortunately, we learned who will return. As per the Deadline, WB Television and Netflix have signed the deal with the original cast except some. Melissa Roxburgh, Josh Dallas, and J.R. Ramirez have already closed their deal before the revival news. So they would return as Michaela Stone, Ben Stone, and Jared Vasquez.

Besides them, other series regulars would also join. These include Parveen Kaur as Saanvi Bahl, Luna Blaise as Olive Stone, and Holly Taylor as Angelina Meyer. Further, Ty Doran, who appeared as a teenager Cal Stone (played by Jack Messina in the first three seasons) in the third season finale, has been promoted to a series regular for the final run.

Will Matt Long Return?

While many of the original cast has sealed the deal to return to their new home, the only one whose fate remains in jeopardy is Matt Long. Well, Matt currently commits NBC’s new series Getaway. However, if the schedule permits, then there’s a slight possibility that Matt could return to continue his story arc. Matt plays Zeke Landon, who entangles in the same situation as the flight 828 passengers and later beats his death date.

What Will Happen With Grace?

In the closing moment, Taylor’s Angelina stabbed Athena Karkanis’ Grace and left the place with Eden. However, the creator cited that Grace’s death could play a prominent part in the finale. Well, it seems that now return teenager Cal knows it is coming, but his action might change everything. Further, Ben would find it difficult to cope with his loss in the final run. But now that they killed off the characters, there’s no chance that Athena could return.

Manifest Season 4: When Will Production Begin?

Rake previously stated in an interview that he sees Manifest as the six-season show. But unfortunately, they need to sum up the entire journey in a single season. Thus, he needs some time to map the whole season by eliminating paltry scenes and focusing more on the missing plane mystery. Further, he ensured that the camera could start rolling sometime in late November or early December.

The Sorcerer Supreme will be back soon with a whole new adventure of Doctor Strange 2. Unfortunately, the film’s release date had to be pushed a couple of times due to multiple delays. So finally, we have a date that seems to be the ultimate one. Recently, Benedict Cumberbatch shared his feelings about the departure of Scott Derrickson. Scott was the director of the first edition of Doctor Strange. He was also supposed to be the director of the second part. Unfortunately, Disney replaced him, citing creative differences.

Moreover, Karen Malik shared the BTS images about the reshoot wrap of Elizabeth Olsen, the infamous Scarlet Witch. Also, as per the reports The Evil Dead director, Sam Raimi, has replaced Derrickson. What’s more? Here is everything we know about Doctor Strange 2. Keep reading further about the release date, Cumberbatch’s views, and more relevant details about Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of madness.

Benedict Felt Sad When Doctor Strange’s Original Director Left

Scott Derrickson

Scott Derrickson, the director of Doctor Strange(2016), is not returning for Doctore Strange 2, citing creative differences. In a recent interview with THR, Benedict Cumberbatch recalled feeling sad about Derrickson’s departure. Scott Derrickson directed and co-wrote the first part of Doctor Strange along with C. Robert Cargill. In addition, Robert also agreed to Derrickson’s vision of the sequel and left along with him. However, the split between Disney and Derrickson has been easy-going, and the former director seems happy about it. Currently, Dickenson is working on a new project as the director and co-writer of The Black Phone, with his Doctor Strange writing buddy C. Robert Cargill.

Benedict Cumberbatch expressed that he felt a bit sad when Disney replaced Scott as the director of Doctor Strange in the Madness of Multiverse. Benedict was in New Zealand filming The Power of the Dog when Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige informed him about Derrickson’s departure from Doctor Strange 2. Further, he added that he felt sad, but he respected the studio’s decisions. Also, he said that it was not his decision to be made, and the split was done “amicably.”

Sam Raimi Will Serve As New Director

Image: Disney+

After Derrickson’s departure, Disney hired Sam Raimi as the new director for Doctor Strange 2. Raimi is no stranger to high-budget superhero movies and extravagant effects-driven scenes. He directed Spider-man 3 of the Toby Maguire trilogy in 2007. And Doctor Strange 2 will be Raimi’s first superman movie after Spider-man 3. Hopefully, the fans think that including Evil Dead horror specialist Raimi is best for the movie.

Also, following the inclusion of Raimi, the sequel is expected to have a series of scary sequences. Moreover, Elizabeth Olson and Tom Hiddleston will feature in the sequel as Scarlet Witch and Loki, respectively. However, it will be thrilling to see if Raimi fits in Cumberbatch’s Doctor Strange 2 and what more he can provide to the sequel.

BTS Image Reveals Reshoot Wrap-up For Elizabeth Olsen

Following multiple pandemic delays, the principal photography of Doctor Strange 2 wrapped up in April 2021. As per Benedict Wong, Director Raimi is set to conclude the finalized reshoots this month. Recently, Hairstylist Karen Bartek shared an Instagram post featuring Elizabeth Olsen in the frame. The BTS image is from one of the film’s makeup trailers featuring Olsen. The caption of the post read, “Not ‘Strange’ Anymore!! Wrapped again.”

Interestingly, no set pictures have been leaked due to Marvel’s secrecy policy. And fans are quite impatient about what will happen next in Doctor Strange in the Madness of Multiverse. Presumably, Olsen will be playing a crucial role in the upcoming feeling, noting she’s just as powerful as Doctor Strange. The fans will probably see the Master of Mystic Arts and Scarlet Witch facing each other in Doctor Strange 2.

Bridgerton Season 2: Amid Filming Shut Down, Regé-Jean Page Teases He Might Return

Bittersweet news for the fans- Regé-Jean Page has recently opened up about his cameo in Bridgerton Season 2 while filming still remains in limbo. The Regency-era series, Bridgerton, has remained Netflix’s most anticipated series. However, another COVID-case on the set has made fans curious whether the second run could return on time. Meanwhile, Page shared the fate of his character Simon Bassett in the next run. So let’s see whether he could return or not.

Loosely based on Julia Quinn’s novel series of the same name, it took place in Regency-era London in 1813. It follows an aristocratic Bridgerton family as the first season explores widow Violet’s first daughter Daphne’s love story. With Queen’s favor, Daphne meets Simon, who tries to save his bachelordom with Daphne’s help. But he ends up tying the knot with Daphne.

Bridgerton Season 2: Duke Of Hastings Could Return

After making the shocking headlines that Regé-Jean Page won’t return as Duke of Hastings, Page finally teased that he might not remain absent for longer in the sophomore run. In an interview with British GQ, Page hints at his possibility to return as Simon Bassett. However, while the magazine asked about his possibility of a cameo in Bridgerton Season 2, Page slyly said he couldn’t tell about it.

But he didn’t deny the possibility of his return as he said it isn’t amazing about getting something you haven’t thought for. Though he didn’t clarify anything, his ambiguous statement teases that Simon could return in a surprising element. Well, in the book’s most iconic scene, Pall Mall’s unusual game changed Anthony’s perspective of Kate. In which Daphne and Simon played a huge part. Now only time will tell if season 2 will portray this iconic scene.

Page Doesn’t Count Himself As Season 2’s Cast

While the second book hints that Page perhaps makes a guest appearance, it still doesn’t make him feel like a part of the cast. He told that he respectfully left the cast WhatsApp group.
