It has been a year since the fans last saw Woke on screen. And now they’re eagerly waiting for the release of Woke Season 2. Woke is an American comedy TV series. Marshall Todd and Keith Knight created this show for Hulu. The very first installment came out on September 9, 2020, and ran for a total of eight episodes. Two months after the release of its first season, Hulu renewed the series for another eight-episode installment. 

Woke Season 2: What’s Next?

In the debut season of the series, the viewers saw Keef going face to face against the cop who racially profiled him. He even ended up in jail for the trouble. But when he came out, he learned that his unwillingness to accepted an apology from the cops had sparked a protest.

Therefore, now it seems like Keef will become the voice of his community in Woke Season 2. Keef already apologized to Adrienne for his wrong behavior. So, there is a possibility that the second season will feature more of their relationship. 

Recently in an interview, Knight also stated that he would love to explore the post-summer 2020 world in his comedy-drama. He would like to lean into the satire of things that changes drastically after the pandemic. It might or might not happen in the sequel. But it will certainly explore Keef’s post-arrest journey in it.

Who Will Appear In It? 

The second season of this comedy series will feature three new faces. Aimee Garcia, who is renowned for her role in George Lopez and Lucifer, will join the cast as Laura Salgado. Along with her, the fans will also see Marquita Goings and Miguel Pinzon in the recurring roles in Woke Season 2. Marquita is renowned for her roles in Bruh and American Soul, whereas Miguel made his name in the industry with his performance in 9-1-1 and Lone Star.

Along with them, all the leading characters will return to reprise their roles in the sequel. These returning members include Lamorne Morris as Keef, Blake Anderson as Gunther, Rose McIver as Adrienne, and T. Murph as Clovis.

Woke Season 2: Release Date

The makers of this show or anyone related to the series haven’t provided any update on its production and the release date. But it is likely that Hulu won’t make the fans of this show wait for very long. Therefore, they can expect Woke Season 2 to release sometime in the second half of 2022 on Hulu. Star Trek: Picard extended its cast roster by bringing 24 and The Vampire Diaries alum Annie Wersching to its sophomore run. Annie will play the Borg Queen, the infamous villain first introduced in Star Trek: First Contact, the 1996 film where Alice Krige played that role. The Borg Queen served as the existing leader of the cruel Borg collective, even one of the prominent foes of Jean-Luc Picard in Star Trek: The Next Generation.

Annie is best known for her works as FBI agent Renee Walker on Fox’s 24 and Damon and Stefan’s mother Lily Salvatore on the CW’s The Vampire Diaries. Annie’s other credits include Timeless, Castle, Marvel’s Runaways, and The Rookie. Further, Annie has recently reprised her role on Amazon Prime’s cop drama Bosch as Julia Brasher. She even appeared as Liana in Star Trek before in the 2002 Star Trek: Enterprise episode titled “Oasis.”

Who Will Return?

Sir Patrick Stewart has already confirmed that he committed to return for possibly three years. So no doubt, he will return as Jean-Luc Picard. Besides, the other cast who survived in the prior season includes Jeri Ryan as Seven of Nine. Isa Briones as Soji Asha, Michelle Hurd as Raffi Musiker, and Santiago Cabrera as Cristobal “Chris” Rios will also return.

Evan Evagora as Elnor will join Harry Treadaway as Narek. Further, Orla Brady as Laris and Brent Spiner as Altan Inigo Soong will also return. While it remains unclear whether the other Next Generation characters will return, we learn that Whoopi Goldberg will definitely return as Guinan. In the second run, John de Lancie will also reprise his role as trickster god Q for multiple episodes.

Star Trek: Picard Season 2: What To Expect From The Next Run?

The team hasn’t revealed many details about what we can expect from the upcoming season. But the return of the Borg Queen hints at time travel as in the First Contact Borg traveled back in time to stop human and Vulcans’ first contact.

Netflix has confirmed that three new stars will be joining the star cast of the upcoming season.

• Jemima Kirke will be playing “Hope,” the new Head Mistress of Moordale High, to bring back its lost legacy. In addition, Hope is also a Moordale alumnus.

• Jason Isaacs will play “Peter Groff,” Mr. Groff’s highly successful and boastful elder brother. Moreover, Mr. Groff will be staying with Peter as he gets a divorce from Mrs. Groff.
• Dua Saleh will be making her acting debut and play “Cal,” a rebellious student who instantly opposes Hope’s new visionary ideas about Moordale.

Further, we will see all the series regulars featured in the previous season. Netflix has also confirmed the inclusion of three more new faces joining the cast for Season 3. Butterfield also revealed exclusive news dropping the hammer about Otis having a mustache in the upcoming season. The rumor spread after the Otis was Snapped by a Paparazzi wearing a mustache. Asa clarified the issue saying, “It’s a stunt ‘tache, and thankfully it doesn’t last the whole season. I don’t think anyone could bear looking at that thing for long.”

Later in the trailer of Into The Night Season 2, all the food at the bunker caught fire. As a result, now they will go to Norway to get the seeds. However, they only have one day to load it up and come back. The trailer of the second season is also teasing the dispute between the soldiers and the civilians. It is clearly indicating that along with survival drama, the sequel will feature a lot of action as well.

The ending moments of the show’s inaugural season featured a fight between injured Ayaz and Terenzio. Sylvie put the latter in handcuffs. Meanwhile, the passengers discussed the time pressure they would face after landing in Bulgaria, and they also took Terenzio with them.

Terenzio wasn’t able to free himself from the handcuffs, and hence he watched the sunrise and submitted to its rays. On the other hand, the second group successfully finds Sylvie and enters the bunker. 

Now, Into The Night Season 2 will feature the group continuing their quest to survive and find a solution for their problem. They will rise against time once again as a fire incident will destroy all of their food in the bunker. However, their problems will be doubled when a conflict brews inside the bunker as well.
