Showtime has released the first look at Dexter Season 9 by providing some behind-the-scenes images. These images feature Dexter’s son, who is all grown up now. Jack Alcott will portray the character of Dexter’s son Randall. Along with him, fans will also see some more new faces in the ninth season. So, who are they, and when will the ninth installment hit the screens? Here is everything to know.

Dexter is an American mystery crime drama TV series. James Manos Jr developed the show for Showtime. The inaugural season came out way back on October 1, 2006. And in 2013, Showtime announced that the eighth installment would conclude the series. Its last episode aired on September 22, 2013. However, in October 2020, the network revived the show again title for a limited ten-episode series. 

Dexter Season 9: New BTS Images

Recently, the official Twitter account of Showtime shared a BTS image from the sets of New Blood. It is giving the first look at all grown-up Harrison Morgan, portrayed by Jack Alcott in the revival. It is revealing how much he has changed since the conclusion of Dexter’s eighth season. Michael C Hall is also standing alongside Alcott in this newly released picture. It is also giving a sneak peek at the place where they’ll live in Dexter Season 9. 

The last time viewers saw Randall he was leaving the country along with Hannah. Once he reached Argentina, Dexter bid him farewell over a phone call while dumping the body of Debra in the ocean. But it seems like Debra is not dead as she is all set to appear in the upcoming installment of this crime drama.

Who Will Appear In It? 

Everyone knows that Michael C. Hall will reprise his role, but this time, he will be seen under the new name Jim Lindsay. Jamie Chung will also join the cast as Molly Park, who will become a threat for Dexter. In addition, Clancy Brown will appear as Kurt Caldwell, the unofficial mayor, Julia Jones will be chief of police Angela Bishop.

Johnny Sequoyah will play Angela’s daughter Audrey. Jack Alcott will portray Dexter’s son Harrison, who becomes Randall now. Last but not least, Jennifer Carpenter will reprise her role as Debra Morgan in Dexter Season 9. Debra died in the 2013 series finale. Therefore, now it will be interesting to see how the makers will justify his resurrection. 

Dexter Season 9: Release Date

The cast and crew are yet to announce a wrap on Dexter: New Blood but Showtime already revealed its premiere date. The long-awaited Dexter Season 9 is all set to hit the screens on November 7, 2021. The Resident Season 5: First Look Revealed!

Recently the network dropped another exclusive poster of the fifth season. Although it didn’t reveal any potential details, yet it teases that nothing stays normal forever. It features Matt Czuchry’s Conrad Hawkins showing patient reports on his tablet. The photo teases “All hell breaks loose” where something seems wrong in the patient’s lungs. But it looks like Conrad and Nic would find them in a disturbing position.

Chastain Won’t Be The Same

Earlier in the month, Fox revealed an official key art of Conrad standing alone in an operating room with the tagline “healing starts within,” his back which turned toward us. Well, the official tagline teased that the doctors will once again continue to save patients. Meanwhile, the battle will continue against corruption and injustice in the healthcare system. Along with the alliance formed last season with Big Pharma, which helped the hospital find sickle cell disease’s cure.

Further in the next season, when the new alliance forms, the old friendship would be tested. The Resident Season 5: New Member Joins The Team

Nurse Jackie alum Stephen Wallen will join the fifth season of The Resident in a key recurring role. Stephan will play Winston Robards, a kind-hearted, legally blind man who’s brought to Chastain Park Memorial Hospital after he gets involved in a fatal car accident. However, to wander in the hospital, he relies on a cane and isn’t afraid to move around an unfamiliar place.

Though Winston’s known for his gentleness and patience, he often attracts dangers quickly. Stephan is best known for his work on the Emmy-winning Showtime show Nurse Jackie where he played Thor. He’s currently seen in a recurring role on Law & Order: SVU. Besides this, Stephan will appear on the big screen opposite Jennifer Lopez, Sarah Silverman, and Owen Wilson in Universal’s Marry Me.

Who Will Return?

Well, the current season will see some more new changes in the hospital after Shaunette Renée Wilson, who played Mina Okafor, departed the show in the last season. However, despite Wilson’s exit, the main cast will return to reprise their role. Matt Czuchry as Conrad Hawkins and Emily VanCamp as Conrad’s wife Nic Nevin will also return.

In addition, Manish Dayal as Devon Pravesh, Bruce Greenwood as Randolph Bell, and Jane Leeves as Kit Voss will also return. In addition, Anuja Joshi, who plays Leela Devi, has been promoted as series regulars. While Morris Chestnut, who plays Barrett Cain, will return in lesser quantity in season 5.

Inverse recently had an Insta live session with the voice actress of Summer, Grammer Spencer. During the chat, Grammer talked about the possibility of an evil Summer. The fans have already seen evil Morty, and now they won’t mind seeing Summer becoming the antagonist of the series.

According to her, the viewers will see a lot more episodes that will involve the family. She said, “It was enjoyable because to be more in charge and more like Rick in several ways, which to me seems like a very logical progression for Summer. I can’t wait until she begins messing things up more.”

It looks like Michelle Paradise wants to keep the fans in the dark about the storyline until they see the new episodes themselves. On asking the plotline of Star Trek Discovery Season 4 in an interview with Comicbook, she said, “I don’t want to speak precisely to themes, but we do have them! I think the fourth season will continue the sorts of things we were doing in the previous season, in that we do have powerful themes that we’re exploring.”

As reported, the production manager Rick Tunell recently shared a post on Twitter giving an update about that the filming for NCIS: LA Season 13. In that tweet, Rick shared a behind-the-scene pictured stating it’s a wrap for one more day on Ep#1304. Well, it wasn’t the first time when the cast and Rick shared such an exciting update. Previously in a picture, Rick teased a huge clue hinting at what fans can expect ahead in this season.

Rick shared a photo with a warning sign “Imminent Hazard” ahead in the Pacific West Water Station. Throughout the production, NCIS: LA’s cast and crew kept their fans up-to-date regarding filming under strict COVID-guidelines. A couple of months after season 12 wrapped up airing on the network, Rick shared an image on Twitter on June 23, teasing that the production has just begun. He stated NCIS: LA production office has finally opened for season 13.

The second season already featured some great VFX sequences, including the utilization of a fake whale carcass. Now, they’re ready to level up their visual effects game even more in The Boys Season 3. 

On this about his approach to bigger VFX of the upcoming season, Fleet said, “We’re ready to take things to a slightly raised level of reality and stupidity. But it always still serves and seems like part of our world. People are now smart enough to pierce through the eye candy. They still want something that attaches with them like on a soul level. That’s what the real gold is.”

The Boys Season 3: Plot Details

The third season will feature the Soldier Boy, and it will also adapt the “Herogasm” storyline from the comic series. Soldier Boy is actually a Supe who became the icon during World War II. The arrival of this character will also lead to the introduction of another superhero group, Payback. The filming is still underway for the upcoming installment of this show. However, it is in the final stages, and the makers will announce a wrap very soon. Since post-production involves a lot of visual effects, it takes a little more time than the normal ones.
