After facing plenty of setbacks, Seth MacFarlane‘s sci-fi drama The Orville Season 3 is finally heading closer to its premiere. Well, MacFarlane’s show moved to Hulu in 2019. Since then, fans have had to wait quite long to see their favorite characters back in action. However, Hulu’s Scripted Original Head Jordan Helman has finally shared the much-needed update regarding The Orville Season 3’s return on Hulu.

Star Trek spoof, The Orville, created and written by Seth MacFarlane, takes place 400 years ahead in the future. It follows the U.S.S. Orville and the exploratory spaceship consists of both humans and aliens. However, during their exploration and visits to other parts of the galaxy, the crew faces several Outerspace dangers, while dealing with their everyday life problems.

The Orville Season 3: Has Production Begun Yet?

Filming for the third run began in early October 2019, but in the wake of the COVID-19, the filming was halted in March 2020. However, the production team never lost hope, as despite facing delays, filming resumed in December 2020. But the filming was soon halted in January 2021 after the surge of new cases. By that time, production for the third season has already reached halfway to its completion.

Once again, filming resumed in February 2021, which is underway as Jon Cassar and MacFarlane are directing the third run. A year ago, MacFarlane shared that although the ongoing pandemic hit the production like other shows, he and his team were working hard.

The Orville Season 3: What To Expect?

Little is known to date, yet the showrunner David A. Goodman said that the starting episodes would answer the questions left in the second season. So all those big and small stories they set up in the second run would finally explore now, said MacFarlane. Now each character’s story arc will explore, which will later lead to some emotional and heart-touching moments. Although Goodman didn’t tease plenty of details, yet it seems that the third season would delve deeper into the sophomore’s open arcs.

The Orville Season 3: When To Expect?

Speaking with Deadline, Jordan Helman said that the past one and a half years had been complicated when it comes to production. But he has seen the show’s cuts and is excited about what he has seen so far. Howbeit Helman didn’t share the official release date of the third run. Yet, he teased that The Orville Season 3 would return sooner than expected.

Is The Orville Season 4 Happening?

While talking about the third season’s update, Helman also hinted at the possibility of The Orville Season 4. He teased that they have been discussing the future of the show. Although he didn’t confirm anything, yet he left the door open for the potential fourth run. Helman continued that after the show moved from Fox to Hulu, fans of the show will come to the streaming platform and be deeply satiated.

Further, he believes that the show will cater to a new audience. They will feel a unique experience that they hadn’t experience in the past seasons. Thus deeming the fan’s approach and viewership rate, it would become easier for them to decide The Orville’s future. However, at least Helman is keeping the door open for the potential fourth run now.

Well, you can’t continue Lost In Space without the Robinson family. So no doubt, Molly Parker as Maureen and Toby Stephens as John will return. Women Will Come Out Stronger

Throughout the show, Maureen has shown great strength to overcome the hurdles which came in their life. Estrin also said in a statement that they wanted to show this character as a superhero who can handle emotional pain quite well. Though John is a warrior, yet he is emotionally connected to his children. Thus he would find difficulty dealing with the pain. While Maureen, on the other hand, will battle with the foes and perhaps face a near-death experience.

So the traditional gender roles of men and women would swap, and it would be interesting to see Maureen in action. Further, Parker Posey confirmed that fans would also see her in action in the next run. In the end, someone will fiercely beat Posey’s character June. Although she didn’t share many details, yet things would escalate in the final moments.

Lost In Space Season 3: When To Expect?

Unfortunately, it seems fans have to wait a lot than expected. Despite the filming wrapped up early this year, Netflix didn’t include the third run in its upcoming August release. Well, initially, it was slated to air in summer 2021. But it looks like post-production work would take more time to conclude. The film was a fascinating tale of the rivalry between two major brands Ford and Ferrari. Both of them used to participate in the car racing competition known as Le Mans 24. However, Ferrari was the one who usually came out as a winner. The brand even looked down on Ford and its owner. As a result, Henry Ford ordered to build a car that can defeat Ferrari. Caroll Shelby, the owner of Shelby Americans, took charge of building a car that could outrun any other can. Shelby then engaged his friend Ken Miles who was a British racer.

At the 1966 Le Mans, Ford was finally able to beat Ferrari. However, during the race, Miles faced the breaks failure. But at that time, Shelby managed to convince the officials that the replacement is legal. A few months after the 1966 Le Mans. Ken Miles died while testing a new vehicle for Ford. He was driving the J-car when he experienced brakes failure again. It resulted in a car crash. Miles died instantly in the ensuing fire of this accident. 

How Did Ken Miles Actually Die? 

Ken Miles’ death, as shown in Ford V Ferrari, wasn’t really different from his real-life death. Although the makers of this movie did change some details due to storytelling purposes. It is accurate that Ken Miles died two months after the 1966 Le Man while driving at the Riverside International Raceway. But when he died, he didn’t experience brake failure. His car flipped all of a sudden, crashed, and caught fire. However, no one could tell the actual reason behind that accident, and it is still a mystery to this day.

Meanwhile, Ford V Ferrari was more about the friendship between Shelby and Miles and how both of them managed to beat Ferrari at Le Mans. So, it only made sense that the movie featured how things changed for Ford instead of focusing on how Miles’ died. The makers changed his death story a little as it helped enhance the ending of Ford Vs. Ferrari.
