Ouran High School Host Club Season 2 originated as a manga series, written and illustrated by Bisco Hatori. It began serialization in Hakusensha’s Lala magazine in September 2002 and ran for years until its end in 2010. During its run, it became one of the most appreciated shoujo mangas of that time. Hence, it was soon picked up for an anime adaptation in 2006. Due to the combined popularity of the manga and anime, the story was then adapted into a live-action TV series in 2011.

Ouran High School Host Club Season 2: Renewed Or Canceled?

As a matter of fact, the second season of Studio Bones’ highly anticipated show has not been renewed yet. However, neither is it canceled. Having said that, there is little to no hope for its return. Highschool Of The Dead Season 2: Renewed Or Canceled?

As of 2020, Studio Madhouse or any other producer of the anime have not announced a sequel. In fact, they’ve already washed their hands off its production. Speculations say that the creators have asserted that they won’t be continuing the show anymore. Well, one of the main reasons behind the same could be the end of its source material.

Apparently, anime adaptations act as an advertisement to their source material and are highly dependent upon them. As a result, they only survive until they have content to promote. Recently, it was rumored that a US-based Anime Network will now air Highschool Of The Dead Season 2. It appears that the original creators have refused to continue the anime after a tragic tsunami and earthquake hit Japan, back in the day. Due to not having enough resources and appropriate time, Studio Madhouse had decided to drop the sequel.

Well, both manga and anime series of HOTD have heavy international fan following. Moreover, the first season was aired by a bunch of foreign networks as well. Hence, the renewal of Highschool Of The Dead is now solely dependant on international streaming platforms and anime networks. Also, that remains to be the only hope for the series’ future. Yet, even if the show gets renewed, the creators will find it hard to get content for the adaptation.

Is There Enough Source Material For Season 2?

The HOTD manga serialized in Fujimi Shobo’s manga magazine since September 2006. However, it went on a long hiatus from 2008 to 2010. Besides, only one chapter released after 2011 (in April 2013), which was also the last chapter. On the other hand, the manga was released as seven tankōbon volumes between March 2007 and April 2011. Yet, the story of the manga was never completed.

Sadly, after the death of mangaka Daisuke Satō, Highschool Of The Dead manga will always remain incomplete. Fujimi Shobo and Kadokawa can potentially hire another author to wrap up the story, yet, it’s very unlikely to happen.

HOTD’s anime adaptation adapted the first four volumes of its source material. Hence, the potential producer of the anime now has only three volumes for Highschool Of The Dead Season 2. Having said that, the three volumes will neither complete the story nor be enough for a full season. As a result, the creators will have to look for a writer that can wrap up the original plot. The Wheel Of Time Season 2: Renewed?

Last year, the makers began the production of the initial season of the series. However, they had to stop it in March this year after the arrival of the global health pandemic. On November 14, 2019, the showrunner Jafe Rudkins tweeted that he already started working on the scripts of The Wheel Of Time Season 2. His tweets read, “Starting the S2 writers’ room on Wheel of Time and the Czech builders didn’t fully grasp how many whiteboards are needed to break an entire season of television.”

When one of the users asked him has he already renewed the show, then he replied, “just writing it now.” It has been more than one year, and he still hasn’t revealed whether that was a typo, or he is really working on it. Since the makers have a lot of source material to adapt, therefore it might be possible that they really have some plans for its future installments.

The fans have been waiting for the premiere of this show for quite a while. It has been more than three years since the announcement of the show. And after looking at the eagerness of the people, Amazon Prime decided to release its official synopsis. It reads, 

“The Wheel of Time follows Moiraine, a segment of the powerful, all-woman group of channelers (magic-users) known as the Aes Sedai, who gets a group of five young people from their hometown village after an attack by the forces of the Dark One. It is a sinister entity who endeavors to destroy the Pattern (Existence). Among these five, she thinks one might be the incarnation of the Dragon, an antique hero and strong channeler who is forecasted either to save the world or to destroy it.”

What Has Happened So Far?

The last episode that aired was the fourth episode- ‘Alignment’ released on December 1. The episode started with more light on The Knights Templar theories. Until now, fans had quite missed The Knights Templar Theories, but now, they are all back. Lagina brothers and their team have been trying to find evidence about the Knights Templar for years.

For all the time the team has been trying to find some evidence, they have been stuck with pretty weird theories. One theory that has spoken to the two of them the most is the medieval Christian Sect theory. This theory speculated that there was treasure buried in Oak Island. Now that the team is back, they will work to uncover more mysteries.

The fourth episode speculates the theory of a “perfect line.” This is the line that started with Jerusalem and went through Versaille and then ends at Oak Island. Everyone in the team quite believes that the Knight Templars did dig up the Solomon treasure, which was later taken to North America. They also believe that the Menorah is still in Oak Island. However, if Menorah is buried on the island, Lagina’s brother will have to continue digging. Gary Drayton and Jack Begley have discovered new axes. This could lead them somewhere.
