In March 2014, Paramount Pictures confirmed that the second part was in the works. While all producers were returning, Tommy Wirkola announced that he would not continue directing the film series. However, he assured to be its designated writer and disclosed that he has insane ideas for the script. Meanwhile, Paramount hired famous French filmmaker Bruno Aveillan as the director.

In fact, Wirkola kept his word and handed over the first draft of the script in 2014. He revealed that the sequel film might go further than the first one. Moreover, it will now be an R-rated action movie with a storyline related to different kinds of witchcraft. Paramount later confirmed that Hansel And Gretel: Witch Hunters 2 will have a 2016 premiere. Fans of the original film were quite excited to watch the sequel, yet, it never made it to the screens. As of 2020, the creators of the movie have not disclosed the reason behind the same.

Well, it is rumored that the second film is canceled for good and might never make it to the theaters. However, Deadline reported that the sequel might return as a cable TV show instead of a movie. The news stirred the fan following of the franchise and has been in talks ever since. As of today, Paramount is yet to confirm the release of either of them. The blow of these events advances Jackie towards becoming serious about her life. When Burnham jumped to the future, she skipped past the death of her father and met the Vulcans. She might come to know how her father died, and that would bring some very emotional moments.

With that said, unless Star Trek: Discovery does not plan to bring any time travel, it is unlikely that we would get to see more of Spock or Jean-Luc Picard in the upcoming episodes. Both of them are long dead. Even if we take into account the fact that the last time we saw Picard, he was in a synthetically designed body, and Vulcans live longer than humans, there are slim chances that any of them will appear in the episodes.

Fans can watch Star Trek: Discovery Season 3 Episode 7 on CBS All Access website and all the CBS apps. The show can also be streamed globally on Netflix the day after the original release. Viewers can also purchase the episodes from Amazon Prime. The seventh episode will air on November 26, 2020. So, it will be available on Netflix on November 27.
