Kemp’s production is getting ready to amaze its fans with new thrill and suspense. However, instead of preparing for Power Season 7, the production house is looking to create a spin-off titled, “Power Book II: Ghost.” Despite the sixth season ended on a bitter note, the series was scheduled to reveal Ghost’s mysterious death. Although throughout the series, many mysterious murders have happened. However, when the main protagonist died in the finale, it left everyone wondering is it the end of the show? But, surprisingly, it wouldn’t as the creator decided to come up with a spin-off to reveal the mystery.

Power, created by Courtney A. Kemp, is a crime-drama series on Starz. It follows James St. Patrick’s (Omari Hardwick) troubled life. James, a mean yet brilliant drug dealer famous as “Ghost,” tries to live a normal lifestyle. He urged to leave the criminal world and continue the legal nightclub business. Meanwhile, avoiding the police and dealing with his collapsing marriage, he had a romantic love interest, Assistant United States Attorney Angela Valdes (Lela Loren). However, Patrick’s wife, Tasha (Naturi Naughton), also had an affair with Kanan Stark’s son Shawn (Sinqua Walls), attorney Terry Silver, and Quinton “Q” Wallace (Tyrone Marshall).

Power Season 7: Has Network Renewed The Show?

The show had come to its end when its main protagonist, Ghost, got killed in the finale, back in February. Unfortunately, the series ended with the sixth season. However, the network announced they are looking to expand the series. The network wanted to expand the Power franchise. Thus, Starz confirmed that they had ordered a spin-off series, titled Power Book II: Ghost. However, it doesn’t end here as the network announced the other spin-off too.

That includes Power Book III: Raising Kanan. It would depict Kanan Stark’s (Curtis “50 Cent’ Jackson) origin and evolving story. However, the other two spin-offs include Power Book IV: Influence and Power Book V: Force. In which, Power Book IV: Influence would follow the rise of Rashad Tate (Larenz Tate) to the top. On the other hand, Power Book V: Force would follow Tommy’s lifestyle after leaving New York to restart a new life and business in California.

Power Season 7: What Will Happen Next?

The series ended in the last season. However, Power Book II: Ghost would pick up from where it left off. That means there is more to come from the Ghost story. Although he died in the end, yet many characters’ life dramatically changed after his death. So chances are more that the series would deal with the controversial Ghost death and how it influenced the characters’ life. It would also depict how these characters improve their lifestyle without him. In which Tasha is still in prison, where Tariq guilty for what had happened. So it would also focus on how the family deals with the Ghost absence.

Power Season 7: Who Will Return?

Although Omari might not appear in the next season but his family members, including Tasha St. Patrick (Naturi Naughton) and Tariq St. Patrick (Michael Rainey Jr.), would return. Along with them, Joseph Sikora, as Thomas “Tommy” Egan, would return and reconcile with the Patrick family. Meanwhile, Mary J. Blige and Method Man would play a different character in the next spin-off.

Succession Season 3: Production Expected To Delay Again

Recently, Succession star Brian Cox shared that they are hoping to resume filming in November. However, considering the current health crisis, the filming is still up in the air. Creator Jesse Armstrong assured that the entire cast and crew members would return to studios in late 2020 to resume filming in New York. However, Brain confirmed that chances are high to continue the filming in early 2021, as the shooting would take place in the severely affected area in New York.

Matthew MacFayden added that they supposed to begin filming in late April. However, just like many series’, Succession also got affected due to the ongoing crisis. That resulted in the delay of the filming for a while. Also, the filming was expected to resume in autumn. But, the Hollywood guidelines hadn’t allowed them to continue filming in New York. Thus, many series have shifted to begin filming in January.

Back in 2012, famous mangaka ONE began the serialization of the Mob Psycho 100 manga series. The highly successful manga ran for several years until its conclusion in 2018. In total, it comprised of sixteen volumes containing 101 chapters in them. Out of these, the debut season of its anime adaptation used the first 50 manga chapters. Whereas, Season 2 adapted its source material up to Chapter 92.2.

Technically, the anime creators have less than nine manga chapters for Mob Psycho 100 Season 3. Clearly, these will not be enough to create a full season of the anime. Fortunately, the last few chapters of the manga have plenty of sub-chapters to be used in the sequel. Chapter 97 has 13 sub-chapters, while Chapter 98 and 100 have 12 and 17 sub-chapters, respectively. In total, Studio Bones still has around 65 manga chapters for a new installment. Hence, there’s still enough content if the producers are interested in the sequel.

What Will It Be About?

As mentioned above, the latest installment of the popular anime will adapt the manga after Chapter 92.2. It will also include the upcoming sub-chapters. Hence, the first few episodes of Mob Psycho 100 Season 3 will cover the Broccoli arc. Whereas the next few episodes will likely be about the Telepathy Club arc, followed by the ???% arc. Since Season 2 did not wrap up the show’s story, fans are demanding to know how it ends. Hence, the third season is expected to conclude according to the manga’s ending.

Drifters is an immensely famous manga series written and illustrated by Kouta Hirano. It’s serialization began back in 2010 and is currently running with six volumes already released (as of November 2018). Due to its popularity, the manga was soon picked up for an anime adaptation produced by NBCUniversal Entertainment Japan. The 12-episode series was animated by Hoods Drifters Studio (Hoods Entertainment) and debuted in Japan back in October 2016.

Drifters Season 2: Officially Renewed!

Yes, fortunately, the highly-awaited second season of the anime has officially been renewed. In fact, the renewal was announced alongside the finale of the debut season. Towards the end of its last episode, a message was displayed saying, “To be continued Second Season. See you again. Tokyo 20XX. Sayonara.” Hence, Drifters Season 2 is likely to premiere sometime in the near future. However, using “20XX” gives them the liberty to change the release as per their need.

Well, the first few episodes of the sequel were released as OVA episodes soon after Season 1’s end. As of now, three Drifters OVA episodes have already aired. Though these episodes are only available in Japan, that too in the form of DVD and Blu-Ray discs. Hoods Drifters Studio or any other producers of the anime have not approved their international release yet.

Why Is The Sequel Delayed?

Well, unlike most anime series, Drifters was renewed right after its first season ended. Yet, it’s been four years, and we haven’t heard of its return. One of the main reasons behind its delay is the lack of source material. As of 2020, the producers of the anime do not have sufficient content for Season 2.

The Drifters manga series consists of a total of 6 volumes (the last one came out in October 2018). The first season of anime covered the plot of the first four volumes. Hence, the studio only has two more volumes for Drifters Season 2. Clearly, the remaining source material won’t be enough for a full season. Besides, the three OVA episodes have already adapted half the chapters of Volume 5.

Well, writer-illustrator Kouta Hirano usually releases one volume of his manga every two years. Since the last one came out two years ago, Volume 7 might arrive sometime this year (2020). Similarly, the eighth volume may not come out before 2022. Hence, the producers of the anime will have to wait until the manga serialized Volume 9.

When Will The Productions Begin?

Since there is not enough source material now, NBCUniversal Entertainment Japan might wait until 2022 for the eighth volume. Once that comes out, the creators might begin the productions of the new season. Based on its history, the Drifters anime series takes quite long to produce a season. Hence, Drifters Season 2 might take a year to wrap up its production schedule.

Drifters Season 2: Release Date

As mentioned above, the latest season of the well-known Isekai anime might begin productions by 2022. Besides, after that, the installment is likely to take a year to hit the screens. Well, Hoods Drifters Studio or any other company related to the anime has not confirmed the release date of Drifters Season 2. CloverWorks mecha anime takes place in a post-apocalyptic world where children and adults live separately in two contrasting environments. DITF is known for its intriguing characters and fast-paced action.

Darling In The FranXX Season 2: Renewed?

Well, anime producer CloverWorks and studio A-1 Pictures (and Trigger) are yet to announce the official renewal. However, that does not confirm that Darling In The FranXX Season 2 is canceled. As compared to US television shows, Japanese anime tend to take longer to release a sequel. In fact, some of these shows can take as long as four to five years (examples – One-Punch Man and Attack On Titan). Since it has only been a few years, there’s still hope for DITF’s second season.

On the other hand, looking at the show’s popularity, it’s hard to believe that its producers will cancel it anytime soon. The first season was not just popular but also commercially successful. Besides, from the financial perspective, many studios might offer to producers might ask to produce the sequel, if not CloverWorks.

Moreover, another reason why Darling In The FranXX Season 2 is destined to happen is the heavy demand. In the last two years, thousands of fans have signed petitions to bring back their favorite anime. Several of them have also offered to crowdfund the second season, if possible. While a part of the fanbase is creating fan animations, others are doing Cosplays of Zero Two and other characters. Hence, due to the pressure, CloverWorks may not cancel the series anytime soon.

What In The Future Of The Anime?

Unlike many anime, Darling In The FranXX is an original story and isn’t based on any light novel or manga. Hence, fans do not need to worry about the lack of source material. Besides, the ending of the first season was left open, which is advantageous for the anime’s future. Studio A-1 Pictures and Trigger would have to create a new story from where Season 1 ended.

The first season ended by saying, “And A New Story Has Begun.” This hints that the creators are well prepared to continue the story. Moreover, now that Hiro and Zero Two have been reincarnated, their stories might take different turns this season. Also, the alien species VIRM had pledged to return at the next Apex of the Human Evolution. Hence, the plot of Darling In The FranXX Season 2 will likely be full of action again.

Despite heavy demands, Studio Liden Films and Sanzigen have not renewed the third season of the popular show. Arslan Senki Or The Heroic Legend Of Arslan was originally a Japanese novel series that debuted back in 1986. The famous series consisted of 16 novels that were published until 2017. As of today, the story has been adapted into two separate mangas and one anime adaptation. The anime released in 2015 and became an instant hit. Hence, it was soon renewed for a sequel that aired in 2016.

Arslan Senki Season 2: Renewal Updates

Despite being one of the best historical fantasy show ever, Arslan Senki went on a long hiatus. Meanwhile, fans signed plenty of petitions to revive their favorite show. Sadly, as of now, producers of the anime are yet to announce the renewal. However, this does not confirm that the series would not return. In fact, as per the latest speculations, the third season might begin productions sometime soon.

The Arslan Senki novel series comprises sixteen books published between 1986 and 2017. On the other hand, the second season of its anime adaptation ended back in 2016. Hence, Arslan Senki Season 3 does not have any source material to promote. Unlike other shows, anime adaptations earn a large portion of their profits from the sales of their source material.

Even though the franchise’s novel series has ended, its manga adaptation is still in the run. Back in the day, when the anime was released, it took no time to catch up with the manga. The first season covered the plot of the first three manga volumes. The manga took a while to cover the contents of the anime’s Season 2.

As of now, twelve volumes of the manga have already been released. Whereas Volume 13 (New Battles, Old Enemies) is set to come out on October 20, 2020. The latest volumes have already moved past the plot of the anime. Hence, the anime producers will finally have some source material to promote in the near future.

Most importantly, rumors say that Studio Liden Films and Felix Films have been thinking of producing Arslan Senki Season 3. Well, the news hasn’t been confirmed, yet it’s enough for us to be hopeful about the future of the anime. We will update this section as soon as the official renewal arrives.

Is there Enough Source Material For A New Season?

Arslan Senki’s 25-episode first season adapts the plot of the first four novels. Whereas Season 2 picks up the next two volumes of its source material. Since the novel series contains a total of 16 books, the studio will still have ten of them left. Hence, Arslan Senki Season 3 has enough source material for adaptation and is likely to adapt the next few novels.

Hence, the latest season of the anime adaptation is likely to feature Silvermask’s narrative side as he tries to claim his right to the throne of Pars Kingdom. We may get some insights into his past, as well. Arslan Senki Season 3 will also focus on the clash between Arslan’s army and Silvermask’s troops.

If that happens, fans might get to watch the sequel around late 2021 or early 2022. Though, it’s normal for anime series to take longer in productions.
