Crunch Time Season 2: Created by Andrew Disney and Bradley Jackson for Rooster Teeth’s website. The first season of the American science fiction comedy series- Crunch Time released in September 2016. With that said, star Avery Morsen tweeted a hint that he later on deleted. However, the tweet can still be seen on Reddit. The post had some shoes he wore on the show. When a fan asked him about Crunch Time Season 2, the actor confirmed that they had completed the scripting for season 2, but it doesn’t look like the show will ever happen. 

Rooster Teeth Held A Crunch Time Season 2 Table Read For Charity

A few weeks ago, In May 2020, Rooster Teeth hosted a special cast table read. It was for the first episode of Season 2. This special cast table was to raise money for charity- GiveDirectly and reunited the whole cast. Even after the table read, none of the members of the cast seem to offer a hint about their plans to move ahead with the show. One of the many reasons for that could be that much time has now passed since the first season. 

It does look like the whole cast is still in for Season 2. Whatever the reason be, either it could be the cost of production, or maybe ratings, Rooster Teeth has not spoken anything about the show. Jim Parsons Explained Why He’s Never Been A Part Of The Show

American Horror Story creator Ryan Murphy is known for his witty and unique horror style shows. Ryan Murphy Never Offered Role In AHS

Seen as Sheldon Cooper in The Big Bang Theory, Jim has received four Primetime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Lead Actor in Comedy series. Also a Golden Globe Award for Best Actor in Television series Comedy or Musical. It’s hard to believe that Ryan never offered him any role for his horror-anthology. However, Jim explained that it’s all because of his tight schedule.

In an interview, Jim stated: “Whether it was because of Big Bang or not, and time schedules and stuff. It had never come up”. Jim further revealed that he is ready if someday Ryan comes up and offers a role in American Horror Story.

A Big Surprise Waiting For Jim

Further, he discussed the significant projects he had recently worked with Ryan Murphy, including Natural Heart and The Boys, which is produced by Ryan. However, Jim never knew that one day Ryan would offer him such a unique role in his horror series, Hollywood. He said he was amazed when Ryan offered him the show. It was a joyful moment, and all the hardship until now has paid well.

He said: “I was so pleasantly surprised when he (Ryan) came to ask (regarding Hollywood), and why I felt myself jump at it. It felt like a gift, and that’s exactly what the experience turned into. That’s not to say that every day was roses. But it was much more fun and rewarding than I would’ve ever guessed it to be.”

In January, The CW has renewed Black Lightning for another action-packed chapter, Black Lightning Season 4. Jefferson, a superhero named Black Lightning, left his superpowers and responsibilities after discovering what it was doing with his family. However, nine years later, The 100, the most feared criminal squad returns to Freeland’s city. The retired principal of Garfield High School, Jefferson, has no other option left to return as Black Lightning, to protect his city from the misdeeds of the criminal gang.

Black Lightning Season 4: Renewed!

In late January, The CW has renewed Black Lightning Season 4, and its fellow superhero shows based on DC Comics. On average, 1.09 million viewers have watched Black Lightning till now. Further, the series has gained a 10% rise in the viewership compared to its previous performance. It also earned a 100% positive response from the audience on Rotten Tomatoes.

What Will Happen Next?

The third season finale concluded with great news, as ASA is no more. Even Green Light Babies or metahuman children survived. The finale witnessed Black Lightning, Thunder, and Lightning hand over the briefcase to the special Congressional committee. The suitcase consists of ASA’s secrets and all the crimes they have done till now. Further, the documents hold proof against ASA’s experiments on Freeland’s children to create a super-soldiers army. Later, the committee decided to legalize the funding proposed by Dr. Lynn Stewart to create a boarding school for metahuman kids. The school will deal with their particular needs and also provide them a better education. It would be an excellent opportunity for Jefferson to stay with her former lover Lynn and also to manage the school. Further, it seems that the young metahuman whom Jefferson recruited has also found a place in the school.

Passing The Throne Isn’t Peaceful.

Though everything seems in peace now, as ASA descends and the evil Agent Odell is in prison, the crime-master Tobis Whale is ready to reclaim his throne of Freeland’s underworld. The former minion, Lala is currently looking after that position. But, presently, Lala, is supported by Lady Eve, who’s backing by mysterious Shadow Board. So, it seems that the fight for the throne wouldn’t be peaceful at all. Further, it would create more trouble for the superheroes in the upcoming season.

Black Lightning Season 4: When To Expect?

Black Lightning achieved a slot in The CW’s upcoming lineup. However, the official announcement for the release date is yet to make. Due to the ongoing pandemic, it’s uncertain when the fourth season would premier. It was supposed to air in fall 2020. The streamer had renewed the series for its second run when its first season started airing on Netflix. Virgin River, created by Sue Tenney, is a romantic drama series on Netflix. The series is based on Robyn Carr’s novel of the same name. It follows Melinda “Mel” Monroe (Alexandra Breckenridge), a nurse who struggles with her new lifestyle. The series begins with Mel accepting to work as a nurse in the small town of California named Virgin River. Initially, she thought it would be the best way to leave her grief and unpleasant memories behind. So she can fresh start her life. But, soon, Mel realized it’s not as easy as she expected. She should first learn to heal herself before moving to the Virgin River.

Virgin River Season 2: Renewal Status & Release Date

In December 2019, Netflix renewed the show for its second season. Before the streamer has renewed the show’s second season, the filming is wrapped up on December 17, 2019. The filming finished before the global pandemic hit the world. However, a few shots were left to film. That begin filming in Vancouver in Canada instead of rural California, where the series set. In an interview, Robyn Carr, the author behind this series, expressed her joy. She said she’s pleased that Hollywood is taking a step towards the romantic genre.

However, a month before Netflix’s See What’s Next officially announced Virgin River Season 2 renewal on their official Twitter account. In which, they posted a video of lead actor Martin with his dog celebrating the news. That reads: “Virgin River has been renewed for a second season. And the cast-not to mention Martin’s dog-is very excited about it!”

On the bright side, the series is untouched from the ongoing pandemic. Since filming wrapped up three months before the production paused in March. Earlier, it was expected Virgin River Season 2 to premiere in the late summer. However, the series creator and producers haven’t spoken yet to Netflix about its premiere date.
