Wentworth Season 8: Marta Dusseldorp Joining The Show

Australian actress Marta Dusseldorp will play Sheila Bausch’s character in Westworth Season 8. A senior figure in the cult finds herself indulging in the group when something terrible happens there. Dusseldorp, in an interview, explained her character’s strength. She said: “Sheila helps people believe what she wants them to believe. She’s an excellent manipulator. Sheila knows how to be devoted, and she knows how to try and encourage devotion. So she has these other traits to her that isn’t about muscle.”

Dusseldorp added: “Shelia has brain and heart. She’s even more dangerous, I think.” However, Dusseldorp’s character’s eternal belief in power is also troublesome. But, Dusseldorp stated: “Sheila isn’t afraid for her life, and she should be!” She added: “Sheila gets consumed by the captivity of this place (prison) and the people there (just like the other characters).”

When Dusseldorp was asked how she felt when she got offered for the show, she said: “I was just so honored and excited to join it. I said yes, straight away. I vote for the Logies and AACTAs so that I would watch it every season. The integrity of the performances, the cohesion of the story, and the cast as a group always knock out. It never even falters.”

Marta Dusseldorp Ready For High Stakes

Marta is famous for A Place to Call Home’s show, which is quite different from Wentworth. So, when she asked how she will handle Sheila’s role, who killed nine people and went to Wentworth, which was different from what she used to portray. Dusseldorp replied: “There’s this fabulous cast (and characters they played) are working through life and death. So in a way, it’s the same- that heightened, big stakes, melodrama. So I feel very relaxed playing those high stakes.”

The show was renewed for Blood and Treasure Season 2 in July 2019. Everybody expected the show to return in the Summer of 2020, but it looks like the show will be delayed. The show isn’t 100% complete at the moment. Matthew Federman used his twitter to update everyone that isn’t complete, and they will come back to complete the show when everything is safe. The show will face many new challenges because of the international locations.

Shetland Season 6: Plot Details!

The show’s fifth season saw Perez examining the murder of young Nigerian man Daniel and the abduction of his sister Zezi after a severed hand washed up on Shetland beach. He started to speculate that a trafficking organization on the island was accountable for killing Daniel and capturing Zezi. His main suspect, the Hayes family, was soon afterward found murdered in their home, with an only surviving family member left for dead.

In Glasgow, Perez went to see Aaron McGuire, who he thought was a significant figure in the gang. During this time, suspicious Callum performed suicide under DC Sandy Wilson’s watch. Perez soon realized that Alice, the new woman in Shetland that he had fallen in love with during the show, was behind the trafficking ring on the island after McGuire was informed of the police’s struggle to attract him out of the shadows. Later he learned that Alice’s husband Chris had accumulated debts, which meant he was forced into people trafficking, and Zezi is found in a cottage on Unst that Chris was renovating.

In his recent interview, he said, “It’s very comforting in a novel to bind everything up and have a feeling of closure, but, to me, my preferred movies are the ones that have open closings, that allow the viewers to create their own kind of ideas on what happens.”

Later, he also teased I Know This Much Is True Season 2 indirectly. He said, “I desired it to be more of a flash of hope so that viewers could see the probabilities of his fate but not cure it completely. The way the novel ends is excellent for the book. You have extra time in a book. But there’s this extended idea of cinema and shows that it keeps ongoing, and it’s nearly too much to take at once.”

Now, it will be interesting to see whether the creators go with the open ending and renew the series or decide to end the show and left the future events for the fans to imagine.
